squEEEsh That looks like it hurt! Quinn's sword hits in just the right place, blood and flesh flying everywhere! He's still up thought.
Smokey's arrow hits the Orc that's on fire and barely grazes him. Good thing he's still on fire. Fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Sindra's blade strikes true, hitting the Orc she's flanking with Sevence.
Sevence does his thing, cutting the guy cleanly.
The Orcs keep pressing their attack, the bloodied one turning his attention to Quinn instead of Snow.
To Hit Quinn: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
To Hit Sevence: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

Excellent!, I'll have to get myself the Bestiaries
Quinn and Snow feel their wounds heal a good measure as their ally calls upon a shining, wholesome power. As the Orc turns it's attention to Quinn, Snow attacks him from the rear. Quinn's blade has bitten deep, but the Orc is not yet down. Quinn's hatred still running hot, he too attacks the Orc again. Being within range he continues his swing and cleaves into the foul barbarian attacking his friends.

Ah, Falchions do seem statistically good. But aesthetically they seem strange to me. I might pick one up before long though.
That and the Greatsword is 2d6 over 2d4.

Quinn, now mostly patched up, realizes he needs to get the remaining Orcs away from his friends before they attack too wildly from the fire and blades.
"You call this fighting? I've seen Elf children stronger than you! Come and get me!"
Quinn Arbalest

Quinn, of course, speaks only to goad the savages away from his grievously wounded all,.

I can see why people play Fighters so often now. Cleave with big 2-handers is awesome.

Whoops. My bad.
The Orc takes another arrow to the shoulder and is still on fire! 1d6 ⇒ 1
Snow pulls through and manages to tear a hole in the Orc's stomach! The Orc falls!!
Quinn's blade is truly mighty, slicing through his target and Sevence's, both of them falling after Sindra takes the second one down!
Ok, combat over. That was a bad idea. I need to do the math on the encounters before I actually do them.
You find in the Orc camp a few tools, some bags of gold (250 total) and another chest. This one is also locked.
Sindra Disable Device: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
click Done. Inside you see a large shield made of wood, a battleaxe made of a dark gray metal, and a large two handed weapon. Looks like a falcion. It's made of what looks like green metal forged by orcs.

She will then try to heal herself as well
umd: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
But she can not concentrate hard enough to get it to go off.
46 pops left on the wand

"Thank you very much lady, and beg you forget my harsh words against elves. For I only know it is only they and dwarves whom the Orcs hate beyond all others."

I remade Snow in PC Gen out of curiosity, turns out he should have been much stronger than I thought. I've updated my profile to match.

"Let's distribute this orc-hoard and be on our way. This forest still looks very large."
As he goes along, Quinn checks around the camp for tracks or clues, to see if, like the men of this region, the orcs haven't stashed away their better goods in some hidey-hole. Snow joins in, sniffing at the ground.

While Quinn looks over the new weapons and shield, determining that the Falcion is +2, Snow seems to go off in a random direction in the camp. He starts barking to let his master know he found another chest! This one isn't locked.
Inside is a gladius and a composite longbow. The longbow is a little smaller than normal, almost perfectly sized for Smokey.
Quinn Arbalest
|
"That blade seems unusually well made. Hard to believe any Orc-smiths would have the skill or the patience to forge such a thing. If no one has any claim, I should take it up for my own"
Quinn takes the bow that Smokey has indicated, looking it up and down carefully.
"I have some knowledge of enchantments, little master. Let's see..."
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
| Sevence of the Order of Truth |
"Master Quinn, a bow does not have melee capabilities. Stop using it like that. You of all people should know." Just kidding.
"I find that most magic items, if any, have their abilities revealed when they are used." Sevence attempts to find a suitable target, settling on a rotten apple, and places it on a stump about 30 ft away. "Try to hit the apple. Let's see what this thing can do. And uh, just use a regular arrow, no need to detonate a bomb."
Quinn Arbalest
|
"You say that, but many a bruised goblin head will say otherwise."
Quinn hands the bow to Smokey.
"Here you are, take a shot"
| The Nameless GM |
The arrow flies through the air with the greatest of ease, the apple getting pierced all the way through and getting stuck in a tree across the way.
Quinn Arbalest
|
"Impressive indeed my friend! I have much more faith in a bow's accuracy than a bombs too... But at any rate, shall we put the rest in our packs and be on our way?"
Quinn Arbalest

"Lets. I think there is much ahead"
Quinn searches for tracks that might lead onward.

All good. Just looking forward to chopping up a few more Orcs with this new Falchion!
| The Nameless GM |
The shield looks like it was designed to take a beating. Or give one, sometimes.
Your appraise check tells you that the battleaxe is not magical, but it's made of Adamantine, the hardest substance known to man!
Quinn and Snow can find that there are a few tracks off towards what looks like a large stone door. Not just hoof prints, but a pair of Human footprints, less than an hour old.
Quinn Arbalest
|
Excellent. We'll give those out later if Sevence wants them. At any rate Obsidian should fetch a decent price.
"This trail is very fresh my friends. Come, there is some men in this forest and I have a feeling they're not townspeople at any rate."
Quinn leads onward to the large stone door and inspects it, looking for some device by which it could be opened. Additionally, he looks to the ground, seeing if the tracks lead inward and how they might have gone about it. Snow, having no small skill in tracking man and beast sniffs along the ground.

The door itself seems to be made out of the stone wall itself with no way to open it. On the steps leading up to the door are a pair of runes. To the right is what appears to be Orc writing. It looks like they tried writing it with their tongues.
Since no one has Orc as a language, I'll give you this one.
| Sevence of the Order of Truth |
"We may want to keep that battleaxe. You never know if we'll need to break down something made of stone or iron."
When Sevence sees the giant door, he lets out a sigh. "Blast. A dead end...there must be a way in."
After deciphering the Orc writing, Sevence takes a loot around. "The lifeblood of the trees...does it mean the sap? Or does it mean something else..."
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Thinking back on his training and learning, Sevence tries to think of something that involves a tree's lifeblood.

Quinn and Sindra both think back and remember something. Not the word "lifeblood" but what the word "blood" and "tree" have in common.
There are a few trees that actually have large, bulbous fruit on them that are blood red. The juices of these fruits have been shown to be identical to human blood.
They're called bloodfruit! And theys are found ova hea! waypoint
