"Perhaps we should bury him. But keep on your toes, we have to be ready for anything."
Quinn, as is his custom in unfamiliar territory, checks for tracks or any signs of activity in the area. Snow sniffs the air, hoping for some smell other than the dead man's decaying body.
Quinn:

Quinn and Snow are both able to find something. Snow finds a pile of gems! Quinn's survival tells him that there was a trio of horses that trotted through here along with several humanoid figures.
You can roll an Appraise check untrained if you want to find out how valuable these things are. Sindra's problo the one to do it.
Oh yeah, and there's a sign pointing in another direction. Something about an armory.
Quinn Arbalest
|
"See what you can make of these. I have little knowledge of trade goods." saying that, Quinn gives the gems to Sindra.
"That sign points to the armory. Perhaps we should retrieve a suit of armor for that woman in town before we proceed further into the forest."

Sindra will loos closely at the diamonds before looking to the group, yes lets..although she might try to bed you Sevence after that.

Are we able to use Diplomacy with the treants? They're supposed to be nature spirits and I have some nature knowledge. Could I reach out to them or are they corrupted by the Sorcerer's dark magics?
| Sindra Disdal |
On sindras turn she will try to roll behind the Treant and get flanking.

| Sevence of the Order of Truth |
"Do your best, little master. We shall distract it. Get those bombs ready. Aim upward so we aren't in the blast."
Sevence will rush towards the Treant and attempts to get into a position where he can flank with Sindra.
To Hit: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
His sword barely does anything.
| The Nameless GM |
The treant is a little ticked at Quinn's arrow and Sevence's sword. After smacking Sindra, it feels a little better, but then she attacks it and it gets ticked again.
Weighing its options for who to attack, it decides the guy in the shiny armor is a greater threat.
To Hit Sevence: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
And Sevence is able to easy dodge the giant treethingys attack.
Go again!
| Sevence of the Order of Truth |
After avoiding the attack, Sevence realizes that the tree's bark is harder than he thought. He's gonna need some help. With his shield raised, he swings his sword in a way to raise the creature's attention.
"Creature of Evil, I shall smite thee with the power of Good. Feel the wrath of the Light of the Sword!"
His sword starts to emanate a very slight glow when he swings it down on the Treant.

Smokey drinks his Targeted Bomb Adimixture.
"Hey I forgot that I mixed this, this morning... It allows me to bomb something without the splash effect! It makes quite a big boom too!"
He then moves to within 10ft. of the Ent.

Quinn and Snow fall back to give Smokey a clear field. Quinn fires off another two arrows to distract it further.

Smokey throws a bomb.

Kaboom!: 3d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 5, 4) + 5 = 20
That is the third "2" in a row that this forums dice roller has given me...
| The Nameless GM |
Eh, don't worry about it. Sevence can't crit all the time.
Because of how big it is that bomb hits the Treant easily. And boy is it pissed! And injured!
In a rage it attempts to smack the small thing that attacked it with the bomb.

And with Sevence's totally-not-rigged-crit, the demon tree falls!!
Now you're at the forge. This place used to be used to make weapons and armor before the Handsome Sorcerer came in and killed everyone. Now you know what I meant by slaves, trees, or both.
Around the other side you see a large chest. Why don't you open it?

It appears you have found a suit of armor for Elenore. And another suit that would look a little different on her.
Shall you retrieve for her the boobalisious armor or the heavy duty stuff?
Quinn Arbalest

"We should return to town with the spoils of battle. That was a difficult fight and some of you look hurt. There are two suits of armor for the woman, perhaps she could choose which she likes better?"
Quinn Arbalest

Meanwhile, Quinn and Snow investigate the forge. They look around, looking for any hidden caches of equipment that the people there might have stashed away. Quinn tries to remember if he had heard anything more in town about the forge.

"If nobody has any objections, I wouldn't mind refilling my quiver with some of those arrows. They seem of good make."
Quinn Arbalest
|
"You took a grievous blow from that evil tree. Surely whatever share in the bounty you would wish should be yours. But we should bring the rest to town. At the very least, the townspeople could use these weapons to defend themselves."
Quinn Arbalest
|
"Sounds a solid plan. Let's get back to town and tend to our wounded."
Did my searches reveal anything?
| The Nameless GM |
Quinn remembers that armorers around here used to hide their stuff in a secret compartment near their armory.
And wouldn't you know it, you found one! It's a decent sized chest, but it's locked. This looks like a job for a trap disabler!
As for the diamonds on the ground, those things look pretty. They'd be worth a pretty penny to the right guy. They're worth at least 300 gold apiece.
Quinn Arbalest
|
"Come have a look at this Sindra. Lockpicking, like trades goods, really aren't what I do. But maybe the locals hid their good quality gear in this secret compartment!"
| Sindra Disdal |
Sindra will walk over to the chest and start to fiddle with the lock. she is able to twist and turn the pick and knife from her kit hearing a click as the lock pops open. Well then, that was childs play. What is inside?

Quinn and Snow hold their breath as the chest opens slowly.
