At the sound of the roar, Dorrin rushes up and fires a crossbow bolt -- which bounces off the dragon's scales! Don't forget you had some anti-dragon gear you recovered, that I assume the older PCs would have shared with the newer ones. Izbariak laughs as he takes to the sky, rising up into the air as he breathes a sudden stream of acid toward Arryn, apparently completely aware of where he was the entire time! 31 acid damage; DC 20 Reflex for half
Vexras arrives, and blasts the nearest smaller lizard with one of his fiery rays. It roars in pain and rushes forward on its hind legs, neck frills fanning out as it snaps at the tiefling It misses, but make a DC 13 Will save or be shaken 5 rounds. Another of the lizards rushes forward and bites Dorrin 8 hp, plus DC 13 Will save or be shaken 4 round.

Arryn returns the dragon's proverbial fire with some of his own, entangling him slightly in the tanglefoot bag, though the dragon barely seems to notice. He drops down closer to the ground and reaches out, and suddenly a globe of darkness fills the room, making it hard to see where he is!
Vexras, dealing with the more immediate threat, just barely catches the attacking lizard with his blade. It quivers as the electricity runs through it, setting it up for the tiefling's second, fatal blow. Violet rushes up a moment later and chops at the second lizard, but has to duck away from its teeth, throwing off her own aim. There was only one lizard, so you can save that martial flex if you want.
Still, Dorrin -- with its attention on Violet -- snaps off a bolt right into its head, drawing its attention back to him. As it snaps at him, Brostic's prayer fills the room, lending speed to your efforts. That's more than enough to allow the dwarf to avoid any harm, while Violet fends off the other beast, it's frills extending as it charges toward her. DC 13 Will save or be shaken for 6 rounds

Violet will graciously accept the generous refund of a martial flexibility.
Violet's feels her hair stand on end as she hears the sizzle and thump of the lizard next to her. "I think something good just happened over there. Good but also gross."
She clumsily climbs over the dead (probably? I mean, come on...) lizard in the darkness. "That hobbo seems really interested in that big cat. That's probably a bad sign, so I'm going to check it out. Don't worry, I worked in animal control for a summer!"
Violet does some mental math. One hobbo, one lion, one dragon, one Violet. "This is probably going to hurt."
"Unless...?" Violet uses her generously refunded Martial Flexibility to pick up Body Shield.
"Oh, umm...I hate to do this, but can you guys take care of the dragon? Because I can't see in the dark. Some of you guys can see in the dark, right?"
Feeling the zeal of Erastil flow through her, Violet speeds toward the lion hoping to end up directly north of the hobbo, for...reasons. "Thanks for the boost, padre!" (taking the extra speed option from BoF)
She stops in front of the cat-lady-hobgoblin. "Can I hold your cat for a sec?" Before the hobbo can respond, Violet follows up with a "Yoink!" and tried to combat-hug the lion.

Let’s see if Violet has the cat wrangled after mott does all the enemies’ actions, Brostic. If she’s got things under control when next round starts, you can pop me with the fly and I’ll go after the dragon. If you have a way of dispelling the darkness though, that’d be excellent for this round!
Brostic Greenhaven
It won't cancel it, but the standard darkness spell only decreases the level of lighting by one level. The light spell will increase the level by one - so both spells are active, but the net result is whatever lighting was there before the darkness spell. At least, that is my understanding from reading the spells - assuming the darkness came from a Darkness spell - which makes sense since darkvision still works. Let me know if my reasoning is flawed mott. Besides, I don't have any other Light related spell ready that will cancel it outright. So, if the Light spell doesn't work - we will have to rely on those with Darkvision.
EDIT: From the darkness spell: Magical light sources only increase the light level in an area if they are of a higher spell level than darkness - so I guess only Dorrin and Vexras will be effective in the Darkness globe.
motteditor RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16
It does require a higher-level spell. That said, it was normal light in here, so it's actually only dim light, not full darkness in the globe.

Violet grabs the feline, which yowls in displeasure, as she tries to roll it in front of her. The move ends up nudging Vexras, throwing off his aim as the hobgoblin steps back. Before they can react, the dragon flies out the door and breathes a stream of acid through the two combatants. 35 acid damage; DC 20 Reflex save for half

Arryn shocks the lizard, but it's not enough to kill the thing, and it snaps at Dorrin as the dwarf moves past it before it spins and sinks its teeth into Arryn 10 hp. It misses and he snaps off a shot at the hobgoblin, who grunts as the bolt hits home, her eyes flashing in anger.
Brostic moves past them to Vexras, casting flight on the tiefling, who takes off after the dragon. He ducks its bite, but unfortunately for him, his sword appears to be no match for the creature's scales and it sinks its teeth into him before winging its way over the courtyard, ignoring Vexras' strike at his retreating form 15 hp to Vexras.
In his wake, Violet ties up the lion, which struggles to escape, and moves after the hobgoblin. The hobgoblin hisses at Violet, "Let Ruanni go, and I will let you live," and gestures for the ball of water to move, grabbing Brostic and Violet. 4 nonlethal damage; DC 16 Reflex save to negate; if you fail, you need another DC 16 Reflex save or you're engulfed in the water (see below). Violet hops out of the way in time to avoid the giant ball of water, only to get zapped. She's looking a bit worse for wear (16hp left with 8 non-lethal damage).
In response to the hobgoblin's threat, the thorns around the lion tighten.

Vexras Voltagian
With the dragon having sped off, Vexras wheels around and swoops down behind the hobgoblin that’s giving Violet a difficult time.
”You know, if I am being honest, I do not think you or the cat or the dragon, if the scaly coward decides to return, are going to survive this.”
He slices horizontally across the hobgoblin’s back.

Arryn kills the lizard and steps over its body as his friends focus their attentions on the hobgoblin. Unfortunately for you, she appears difficult to hit, and avoids both Vexras' and Violet's blows, though Dorrin's crossbow bolts find their mark.
Vexras finds his wounds healing thanks for Brostic as the hobgoblin steps away from Violet and brings another bolt of lightning down on her 12 hp; DC 16 Reflex for half (I don't believe this provokes, as she's not actually casting; she'd concentrate if it did). The dragon, meanwhile, remains out of sight.
"That creature hardly listens to me. If you agree to let Ruanni and I go, you can have it," she snarls, speaking of the dragon.

You and your cat will pay for the evil you have done both to this place and to its people and then we will make the dragon pay also.”

Unable to see what’s going on, Arryn blindly steps into the darkness. Moving at half speed, a single move takes him to the edge of a strange bubble of water. Unsure of where to go from there, he shrouds himself in invisibility.

Dorrin hears nothing of the conversation as he remains focused on taking down the goblin. Quickly loading his crossbow, he raises it, takes aim, and fires! multiple times.
Attacking gobbo once again.

Vexras pokes his head out from around the edge of the broken wall he’s behind and frowns as the dragon hangs in the air out over the trees. He intones a quick spell, utilizing Brostic’s blessing to ensure it reaches the wyrm, then sends a number of gleaming orbs darting through the air. The tiefling draws back behind the safety of the wall then and fishes a small marble-like sphere from a pouch on his hip.

Violet falls to the ground as the acid hits her I'll let her roll the Reflex, but she only had 16 hp left, per her last post, so in best case, she's unconscious. As Brostic works to save her, and everyone else's life, Vexras, Dorrin and Arryn turn their attention to the monstrous dragon confronting them.
Unfortunately, Vexras's magic fizzles as it hits Izbairiak, and Arryn's alchemist's fire and Dorrin's bolt shatter harmlessly on its hard scales didn't beat its AC.
