Gudada Purrun |

"Why, no, my rather large friend, no one has seen simple valuables anywhere about. I have no idea why you think they might be missing." The grin on his face, combined with him pointing out the baubles and chest suggest the words themselves are probably not actually meaningful.

Khalbar Bloodsong |

That sounds like a good idea to Khalbar. He hefts his gear and starts to head back to shore and the Rusty Dragon.
"We'll be back in the morning to see what other interesting things are on board."
"I wonder if the Sherriff will still be wanting us to help police the festival tomorrow evening? That plus I need to find out all I can about the thistletop goblins and their strange leader?"
BTW, were the breastplate and axe from the half-orc mine? Enchanted?

Gudada Purrun |

'Dada leaves with his share of the goods, but heads neither to the house of his mother nor to the Rusty Dragon. Instead he goes to a smaller establishment, one thick with Varisians preparing for the next day.
He walks in, nodding to those who look him in the eyes, and goes to the 'keep. Reaching into the bag, he pulls out a good handful of the baubles, and then another, dropping them on the counter. In Varisian, "Drinks to the memory of a lithe, lively, luscious woman who will not dance with us again." The crowd accepts the drinks in silence, and waits as one. "Nadya Purrun!" and Gudada downs his drink. The room calls "Nadya" and each downs their own drink. 'Dada turns to leave, and as he walks back out through the room, the noise returns to normal in his wake.
When he reaches the home of his mother, he replaces the black bees'-wax 24 hour candle on the table with a new one, lights it from the stub of the previous, and adds the stub to the collection of those which have already been used. "3 more. 3 more and my obligation will have been met. But what do I do then? How long before I find a clan where I can contribute instead of being extra?"

Gudada Purrun |

'Dada rolls off his pallet, and turns towards his mother's bed. He stands, facing where she would have been for a few moments, before grabbing the leftover bread and ale, and some cheese, to break the night's fast.
He glances across the equipment he was gifted the day before, securing some of it to the new pack, but putting his juggling tools in the pack. Then he picks out the brightest and most garish of his limited wardrobe, the easier to catch the revelers' eyes.
As he opens the door and heads outside, the young man plasters a smile on his face and tries to become the happy and cheerful entertainer the crowd would expect. "Now, where to set up? Just off the square where the Mayor will speak? Down the road a bit so that I won't have to stop when he starts?"

Khalbar Bloodsong |

Khalbar rises and eats a simple breakfast in the Rusty Dragon. He then chooses to stroll down by the Festival Grounds lookign for the sherrif from the day before. He just wants to verify the deal they made and check out the rules of engagement for today.

Khalbar Bloodsong |

Khalbar sees the sherrif interrupting the dispute between the two merchants. "Ho, brother! Need any assistance with this lot?"
Khal steps in front of the nearest of the two, looks him square in the eye in a menacign way and growls, "I think your dispute just ended unless you want to end up on the wrong side of my blade.

Merchant 1: Backs down and turns away.
Merchant 2: Sighing in relief."Thank you for your aid. He was trying to force me to give him coin or else he would ruin my business..."
Sheriff: He turn to you as he goes to leave."Thanks! I will leave this area for you! I have to get to the main point of celebration to deal with some guards supposedly seeing goblins or such."

Gudada Purrun |

Wandering through the slowly building crowd, Gudada settles on being closer to the center of things and finds a spot on the far edge of the clearing where the speeches were most likely to be given, and begins unpacking his juggling tools. He grins like a fool, chatting with children nearby, as he gets himself set to begin a show.

Gudada Purrun |

After finding himself something to stand on, Gudada starts a minor juggling display. His eyes stay on the objects he's tossing, but he keeps watching the crowd, looking for mod and attention so he can try to adjust his show to keep the crowd involved.

Khalbar Bloodsong |

"Goblins, eh?" Khalbar thinks to himself.
"I hope some of that sniveling lot comes this way, I'm in a mood to deal some destruction on goblins now, especially if they're from this Thistletop tribe."
True to his word he watches the crowd gather and swell for the festival and does his best to keep the peace if anything seems out of order.

As the day goes on nothing of major concern happens. At least until...
A sharp retort, like the crack of distant thunder, slices through the excited crowd as the sun's setting rays paint the western sky. A stray dog that has crawled under a nearby wagon to sleep starts awake, and the buzz of two dozen conversations quickly hushes as all heads turn toward the central podium, where a beaming Father Zantus has taken the stage. He clears his throat, takes a breath to speak, and suddenly a woman's scream slices through the air. A few moments later, another scream rises, then another. Beyond them, a sudden surge of strange new voices rises high-pitched, tittering shrieks that sound not quite human. The crowd parts and something low to the ground races by, giggling with disturbing glee as the stray dog gives a pained yelp and then collapses with a gurgle, its throat cut open from ear to ear. As blood pools around its head, the raucous sound of a strange song begins, chanted from shrill, scratchy voices.
GOBLINS CHEW AND GOBLINS BITE
GOBLINS CUT AND GOBLINS FIGHT.
STAB THE DOG AND CUT THE HORSE
GOBLINS EAT AND TAKE BY FORCE!
GOBLINS RACE AND GOBLINS JUMP
GOBLINS SLASH AND GOBLINS BUMP.
BURN THE SKIN AND MASH THE HEAD
GOBLINS HERE AND YOU BE DEAD!
CHASE THE BABY, CATCH THE PUP.
BONK THE HEAD TO SHUT IT UP.
BONES BE CRACKED, FLESH BE STEWED.
WE BE GOBLINS! YOU BE FOOD!
Not to far from where you all ended up being around you see 3 Goblins sitting all around the group.
Sheriff: "There really was Goblins!? Everyone evacuate the square leave this to the Guards and Soldiers!"

Gudada Purrun |

Sitting with an ale, on a well-deserved break from his entertaining, 'Dada looks at the goblins with open surprise, and then displeasure. Dropping his ale, he turns to, and pulls the new blade from, the sheath tied to the side of the pack.
"No, little ones. We are not food for you." he calls out in Varisian as he moves to join what he hopes will be a very lop-sided fight, and NOT in the goblins' favor.

After being initial shocked by the disturbance, Khalbar sees the goblin group nearby and plunges forward, swinging his Great Axe as he comes. A cry of "For Alia" escapes his lips as he enters the fray.

Khalbar cleaves one of the Goblins, who was busy stuffing his pants with food, in the back as the Goblin turned to see what the sound was. The Goblin shrieks in Pain as he falls to the ground writhing in Pain.
Jakob swings Arzug and nails a Second, who had just lit a cat on fire, in the Back causing it to let out a single Gasp of pain before collapsing on the ground coughing up blood.
The last one is to busy laughing as a 4th Goblin falls and impales himself on a Fence.

Gudada Purrun |

'Dada scrambles forward, looking to stop the goblins he knows about.

Jakob swings and watches the hammer land right next to the Goblin.
Khalbar on the other hand swings and splits its skull.
As of now you don't see anymore goblins in your immediate area but you see them causing Havoc elsewhere. As you look around you see Father Zantus moving toward you.
Father Zantus: As he reaches you he starts panting.[b]"Are you injured?"[b]
