The passage proceeds to the right until it apparently joins the main passage you entered when you first came down the steps. There is a new door along the left wall, about halfway down. At the end of the hall, the same torch light flickers that lit your way down the steps.
That makes a total of four doors, all of them shut. The tunnels are dark except where the torchlight is noted, and utterly silent save the sounds made by your group.
Map update inbound.

DM Luke |

Oooh - I think I sense another rebuke in your future. Tell the truth... you miss living with us.
Cha, as you start down the stairs the second produce flame spell you cast runs out of arcane energy and the little ball of flame dies in your palm. No matter, you turn the little bend in the tunnel and the torch is right there on your right, burning in a sconce about head high.
In the gloom beyond the next intersection, you can see all manner of crates and barrels. Two wheelbarrows and a couple shovels are there as well. You cannot see Yod, for whatever that's worth. He's in total darkness - well beyond the meager reach of the torch behind you.
Yod, the debris in (6,5) you had to pick through to get to your present position was the remains of a second temporary wall that has since been dismantled. As you stand there, Cha and Ishah emerge from the tunnel to stand at the intersection at (5,11).

Yod Akarn |

I'm gonna listen at the 2 doors on the left wall. Listen check 14+0=14
I'll search them for traps or anything while I'm at it search 11+1=12
Is my move silently still good, and can I check to see if the doors are locked without actually opening them? If not then I'll wait for the group to form up.

DM Luke |

No new MS roll needed. Until you start intentionally not moving silently, you're fine.
There are no sounds from either door. Both are wooden doors with identical latching mechanisms that show no obvious signs of a lock.

DM Luke |

Same deal, though close inspection of the door closest to the half-elf's corpse shows a very faint light flickering occasionally on the floor at the foot of the door.

DM Luke |

Cha, you can make a Search skill check if you want to search the hallway's end closely, or a spot check to give it a cursory look.

DM Luke |

If you can squeeze by me? Hey, Eberk....do these Varisian scarves make me look fat? Never mind.
I move to stand behind Eberk in square (10,5)
Do I need to cast light, or is the torch that's lit enough?
Ummmmm. You did cast light. Upstairs. Five minutes ago in game time. I assumed you knew that and were hanging back for fear of spoiling Yod and Eberk's darkvision. So you are a walking light source. If you have moved up, everyone can see okay.

DM Luke |

Damn, I have one day where I really have to pay attention at work and you guys go open mike on me. If you make me spit-take my coffee on my keyboard, you all get a -2 unluck penalty to rolls till somebody dies. And no, you don't get experience for killing your compatriots unless it's really in character.
Yod lifts the latch and pulls the door open. Beyond is a small room with a tunnel in its left wall. In the corner to Yod's right a bullseye lantern hangs on a peg, lit but shuttered. Beneath it is a corked half bottle of wine, a leather satchel, and a silver flute.
Sari steps gingerly over the dead elf, catching a glimpse of his slack, startled face. The resemblance to Ameiko is very strong. Definitely accentuated by the braid of dark hair and the silver earrings. He's dressed well - leather vest and boots - and a thick gold ring on his finger glints in the light of your staff. He's also wearing a black leather collar.

Cha tuk |

I'll be gone for the weekend. Keep it moving. Don't wait on me. In the event of a battle, I'll use my flame twice before drawing a conventional weapon. Sari, much of the sarcasm has been left to me lately. Remember, we're a team here. Do your part and take up my slack. Have a good weekend.

DM Luke |

Cha - If you're traveling do it safely.
Cha grows pensive, and strangely quiet at the sight of the flute. The others wonder if he knew someone from his past that played. That, or something from breakfast did not agree with him. He stands rear-watch in the hall while the others explore the chamber. Sari's rear ducks around the corner and into the room.
Yod pads across the small chamber, senses tuned on the dark and quiet sand-floor tunnel beyond. The walls here aren't masonry, but hard-packed stone, dirt and sand. You sniff ocean-scent in the tunnel, but some way off. The tunnel stays to a fairly true width and curve. Anyone with knowledge(dungeoneering) or survival can roll a skill check to know what direction it's headed.
Sari slips into the chamber and picks up the leather satchel. There's a leather-bound book of maybe 30 pages and some light rations wrapped in cheesecloth. There's also some quills and ink, and a fine collection of thieves tools (masterwork). At the bottom are several small cloth bags tied off tightly. The flute peeks out of it's wrappings. It looks like a very fine instrument.

DM Luke |

Map??
The map is in your imagination. You need a margarita.

DM Luke |

He also has a composite short bow, a quiver with some arrows, and a money purse with 10 platinum pieces in it. The vest is pretty gruesome.

Sari |

"Sari's rear ducks around the corner and into the room".....so, what? Now my behind has it's own movement? My front and my back seem to move independently of one another? I mean, dang, my charisma is a frickin 16, and I'm taking all this guff about my size? Oh, no...I sense a magic missile about to be mistakenly released....and there ain't nothing sexual in that comment, at all.
Sari says, "I am disturbed that we have seen nothing of Ameiko. I get the sense that we should be hurrying after her, where ever that might me. I am worried for her safety."
I think we should be making haste to find her, and looting through her dead half-bros things later. Let's get moving!

DM Luke |

spoiler for Yod
It looks like it must be a rather long tunnel. You have lost all sense of direction down here, so you're not really sure where it's leading you, other than gradually down. You advance maybe a hundred feet into the tunnel and it keeps on going to the limit of your 60' reach.
As stated, this seems to be an action Yod has taken on his own. Are you alone? Do you intend to find the end of this tunnel?
What are Sari and Eberk doing while this is happening?

DM Luke |

Now my behind has it's own movement?
They do respect her but(t)....

DM Luke |

Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy spent.
I thought you were a Donna Summers guy...
I am subbing rolls for Cha. After a brief consultation, he tells the group that the tunnel is curving from east to north, then runs fairly straight in a north easterly direction.
The group plunges into the dark tunnel in search of further clues to Ameiko's whereabouts. After about 400 ft of twisting tunnels you come to a fork with one tunnel continuing north-east and the other going nearly due-east.
I'm assuming Yod is in front and Cha and Ishah are in back. Sari is still a source of light, so take that into consideration and give me a marching order.

Cha tuk |

Yeh I like Donna, I think I had an album where she covered all the Blues greatest hits.
Ok East or North-East, flip a coin or does someone have a preferance?
I'm good to keep going either way, I'll try to minamize any oders I might be emitting.
Your pick. Make a Luck roll and take a road.

DM Luke |

The floor of the tunnel is sandy, so there's lots of marks that might be tracks but they are confused and hard to make any sense out of (especially without a single person in the group with the Track feat). The east branch is almost devoid of any such marks.
spoiler for all but Cha, who stayed at the first fork in the tunnel
The group continues along the dark main tunnel for maybe another 200 yards before coming to another branch, this one to the left (west). The floor of this tunnel looks more used, though still not as disturbed as the main tunnel you're following.
for Cha
The sounds, and light of the party fades into the distance. It is quiet and utterly dark here without them. Occasionally you hear a sound from the party moving on ahead.
Those produce flame spells only last for two minutes, so you're going to burn through the points you have remaining pretty quickly with that spell. light lasts 10 min per level, or you can go with a torch (if you have one). How many points do you have left?

Yod Akarn |

FOR ABC
Since we have some idea of what direction and how far we've gone
can I do a knowledge local check to see if that seams likely?
d20 roll 19+5=24
