The derro were around a harp with no strings attempting to remove it from place.

f it was taking 6 derro to steal, is the harp small enough to "fit in a bag"? Also we thoroughly searched all the Derro correct?

'Good question.' Naomi nods to the sorcerer, "That is a good question Tolbold." Pointing to the fork in the path and beyond. R "Shall we head that direction?" Nodding at the rest of the boys she asks "Ulfgard, would you be so good as to lead the way?"

A 40-foot-diameter platform of flint blocks rises more than four feet high. Three sets of stairs ascend the stage. An intricate tile design of a rose is inlayed upon the stage.
The skinned carcass of a unicorn lies on the platform. Dried blood surrounds the stallion’s body, and two heavy chains bind the animal. The animal’s horn is severed and missing.

Spitting out Ulfgard almost cries."Basterds, monsters, defilers. Why on Dwerfeaters name would anyone do so. I will gut him and give Naomi his gut for garters, whoever did so."


Ulfgard is right this is terrible.' Not normally the silent type, seeing the carnage, Naomi can only nod in agreement with Ulfgard. As she walks up the steps, keeping a keen eye out.

brv do the chains look like they are built here as part of the stage? Also what kind of knowledge role for the rose? I assume it's religion and that's the one Naomi doesn't have, well that and architecture, the two that would help most here ;)

It is just a rose, I don't know what kind. Red? The chains were to hold down the unicorn. There is nothing else here.


'how awful.' Naomi turns as she feels bile rising, "Could we leave please, this is making me sick." Walking of the podium she observes that both paths wind to the north, under the long bridge they crossed. She points toward the next objective on the inner path t "Shall we put this place behind us and head that way under the bridge?"

As they go she keeps a keen eye out for anything interesting or that brv wants her to see ;)

'shimmering water, how odd.' Looking from Trvijagal to Hagrym, "Do you boys feel that? How odd, I wonder if it is magical." Nearing the pool slightly, Naomi casts detect magic on the water.

"Naomi can only nod in agreement with Ulfgard" just a word of note: when girls see good precious animals, quiet is not how I would describe my reaction, shock is how i would describe it along with a short period of hysteria followed by rage and possibly vomiting from the intense smell of the gutting of such a creature. Women dont sensibly nod at such things.It not like its a bag of blood or chopped steak. its a intelligence being that has been senslessly killed for sport, its insanity and a abortion of all that it stands for.

casting detect magic on the pool and rolling a spellcraft or knowledge to determine the pool

Spellcraft; Knowledge Arcana (+14) or Nature (+11) to determine if the pool is sinister in some way: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 261d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28

The basin is under a hallow spell with the water acting as a bless spell. Drinking or bathing in the water blesses a PC for 24 hours. Furthermore, any weapon immersed in the pool becomes good aligned as align weapon for 24 hours.


'a hallow spell?' Hearing that the basin was under a hallow spell, Naomi walks over to the basin kneeling down, she cups her hand and drinks a small amount, she then dips her rapier in the water.

Ulfgard shrugs and gives a quick prayer to Dwerfeter before he drinks a mouthful and puts his axe in the basin, but first cleaning it.

Turvijagal likewise takes drink of the water and dips his scimitar into the water as well.


Naomi nods in agreement, "May as well, anyone that doesn't is,...well, nevermind about that, everyone drink up and lets go!

It would have the same affect as drinking it, but you would be clean. Don't tell the dwarves!


Naomi rolls her eyes at Tolbold's question, "You would guarantee no one would ever drink it again you." She turns to Uthala, "Ignore the cheeky Halfling Uthala, go ahead and drink some no reason not to get the benefit it offers!"

Well I have no shame, besides, it reaks with power, I am sure my Lord and my God would both appreciate my participation, I will take a drink too, saying a prayer to Nethys (God of Magic, All Seeing Eye). Power and Knowledge are all he and I are concerned with, though both are the same, right?

With my luck I'd need three more pairs of breeches just to get out of here...

after everyone had taken advantage of the water, Noami nods her head toward the south east. "I know it's backtracking a little but I hate leaving anything behind us. Lets head back that direction and check out the other path before we go north." Keeping a keen eye out, She follows as the boys lead back to check out the other path.
