The monster of a spider turns around and bites you, inflicinting massive damage as the fangs tear through parts of your armor.

Fizzy gets hit as he casts his spell but his concentration holds out for the spell, taking 4 damage and poison, DC 12 Fort or 1d2 str damage.

He continues to try to cleave the two spiders at his back knowing that using power attack is overkill on the spiders. He misses them as they jump just in time when the blade of the axe comes towards the spiders.

Round 18
Finding herself surrounded by the enemy, but unable to move, Blienka calls to the others.
I am caught in these webs. I could use some help so that they do not surround me.
As she says this, she swings out at the little eight legged creatures, striking solid blows and squishing(?) two of them.

Round 18
Krazok has flanking with the elemental, which gives him that added distraction to cut through the two spiders. Just as Blienka takes down two herself. Selena moves with agility to get into position to make a sneak attack taking out another of the eight legged freaks. Most of the spiders approaching have a strange green glow to their eyes as if possessed.
Krazok gets slammed with more webbing enough to even secure him to the ground. Fizzy and Krazok both get hit once from the spiders bites, each taking 1d4 ⇒ 2 damage and poison. Fort DC 12 or 1d2 str damage.

Continuing his attack on the spiders listening to the inspirational words of his gnome friend and looking to make it beneficial for Selena to get flanking. He frees himself and takes out one more red spider.

Once more she manages to squash two of the eight legged freaks into spider goo.
Why do these things glow green? This is unnatural and a corruption of the beauty that spiders usually create with their webs.
@ GM Wolf - don't forget that the entire area of the entangle spell is also difficult terrain.
| GM Wolf |
Thanks for reminding me but I have been counting it as difficult terrain. So each square is 10 feet of movement and a spider with a speed of 20 that is entangled its speed becomes 10 feet. So only one square of movement for an entangled spider.

Round 20
The spiders who are entangled seem to just want to get free, the spiders that were attacking continue to attack as the others attack each other or just begin to scurry away. The green glow seems to dissipate from the spiders' eyes and the sense of order ends allowing chaos to spread in their ranks.
One spider still is attacking Arvangail but it misses even his image. One spider continues to go after Krazok, one for Selena, one for Fizzy, and one for Blienka. Besides that the rest of them are in disarray.

With hearing that seems almost unnaturally keen, perhaps from listening to the beautiful songs and sounds of nature for the past several years, Blienka almost immediately picks up the unnatural sound of metal hitting the ground.
Did anyone hear that? I am sure I just heard metal hitting the ground. It sounded like armor, and a weapon of some sort.
As she says this, she points in the direction she heard it from. <-- not sure which direction and where exactly the big spider is.
| Krazok Vell Firesource |
"You fair skinned blue haired one would be our third newest friend, thank you for your help. I will handle the vermin up here, the rest of you head down and support the others. We need to find the source of the magic that was controlling them." He says with little warmth. With his axe in hand he continues to slaughter the spiders.
Blienka
|
As she sees Krazok attacking the spiders, Blienka shakes her head:
My name is Blienka, follower of Shelyn. If possible, please allow these spiders to leave. Only attack if they attack you. Without these eight legged creatures, we would not have their beautiful spider webs. Have you ever seen one in the morning light just after dawn as the days first rays of sun strike the web illuminating the dew within? It is fantastic.
So, please do not kill them if they are fighting one another or attempting to flee. I shall see if I can find your friend below and whatever fell magic cursed these spiders.
With that, Blienka begins to climb down into the pit.
Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 <-- not sure what the DC is. If it is DC5 or DC10, will climb at double speed (+5 to DC)
Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

| Krazok Vell Firesource |
"No I won't stop they are a blight, these are man eaters I will let the small ones go as long as they don't get in my path." He shouts as he continues to hack and slash the spiders in his path.
| Selena the Elfen Feline |
"Let him be, it is better this way, otherwise the woods and surrounding area will likely be overrun with the spiders. It is unnatural that so many are in one spot. I am sure many will get away." She says kindly hoping that the new female will understand the logic.
"Come let us see what we can find." She says with a smile as she begins to climb slowly down the shaft wall, waiting for Fizzy to get on her back if he wants. Her features turning back to just elven as she takes deep breathes to calm herself.
Taking a 10 to climb, making the check an 18.
| GM Wolf |
The shaft is 40 feet tall. The very rough natural rock gives plenty of hand and food holds but not many ledges, DC 15 climb check.
Lucky for Blienka, you just don't make much progress yet. If you fail by 5 or more you fall, which neither Selena or Blienka can fail at with a modifier of 8 unless you roll a 1.
Selena will get down the shaft in about 2 minutes taking the 10, though Blienka has to just make 8 climb checks to get down, if accelerating basically making the DC 20 Blienka will only need to make 3 checks.
| Selena the Elfen Feline |
Once she gets a feel for the climbing, 20 feet down/1 minute, she sees what she can do taking a bit more risk.

climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 Progress she moves down 5 feet.
She then decides to jump down the last 10 feet landing softly, though she lands on a loose rock and hurts her ankle as she lands falling prone.
climb: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13 DC 15 to land softly. damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
"Uhh! That did not work as I had planned it. How goes it Arvangail?" She asks as she sits up and rubs her ankle.
Blienka
|
Blienka, apparently over confident in her climbing abilities, begins to quickly move down the wall. Within seconds she has made it most of the way down before finding herself unable to find a handhold.

After getting stuck, she once more tries to quickly descend, accidentally losing her grip.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 vs DC15 (acrobatics to avoid damage for first 10' fallen)
However, the ever agile blue haired woman turns what would usually be an unusually painful fall into more of a artistic maneuver as she lands on two feet ducks into a roll and comes up standing and pretending like nothing untoward happened.
| GM Wolf |
Blienka you are much faster in getting to the bottom of the first shaft than Selena. Before you is another chasm. It is 5 feet wide, 45 feet deep from ceiling to floor, and about 50 feet long. Straight across from where you are now through the chasm you can see a monstrous spider body that nearly fills the obvious exit. There appears to be webs on the other side that you could climb up. A male elf stands besides you, and has four images of himself there as well.
| Selena the Elfen Feline |
"Thank you Fizzy!" She says with much enthusiasm if not some perkiness as well. She stands up and waits for a response before doing anything else.
Blienka
|
Blienka looks at the elf, not surprised to find someone down here with the rather strange tactics that this group seems to use.
How you doing. You seem to have turned that rather overgrown spider into a pincushion. Next time, you might want to space the arrows out a little more and it will look much prettier.
| Arvangail Wintry |
I had to hurry he replied I am Arvanvail he says holding his bow to his side.

Suddenly realizing that she had not introduced herself, Blienka offers her hand.
Blienka. Apparently I am the newest person to find you all. Seems like you are operating a moving company rather than a exploring the Stolen Lands.
