GM Wolf
After Fizzy's first burning hands those below realize that the walls of the tunnel actually are constructed by stones rather than being a natural cave. Also the cone only burns out 15 feet so unless Fizzy decides to climb out on the protruding steps and precariously travel at least 20 feet his spell will never reach the massive spider.
Calathes torch goes and bounces off the monster's thick exoskeleton. One large javelin is in one of its eight eyes already.
Krazok Vell Firesource
Round 1-5
He collects a few rocks and pulls out his sling, attempting to put some damage on the beast hoping the elf can do better than he.
rock: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 9 - 2 = 9 damage: 1d3 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
rock: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 2 = 24 damage: 1d3 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
rock: 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 9 - 2 = 20 damage: 1d3 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Calathes the Crimson
Put some steel into your spine gnome! This beast is a menace, it is our duty to slay it!
Calathes decides to quit leading through words and through action, he will move to go into the pit and face the beast with blood and steel...

Round 3
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 Arvangail
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Fizzy
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 Calathes
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Krazok
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22 Selena
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 spiders
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (14) - 2 = 12 monster spider
22 Selena*
21 Calathes
16 Fizzy
12 monster spider*
8 Krazok*
7 Arvangail
5 spiders
The monstrous spider across the chasm slams its body against the choke point to no avail, it already has crushed some stone away but any more will take its full strength to make a dent on the wall. Selena still watches from above looking for any threat and starts to sort through the loot that was found. Krazok slings off a stone at the monstrous spider not wanting to get into melee with it.
The fire from Fizzy's burning hands has burnt away all the webs within 15 feet of the entrance. There appears to be stone steps every 10 feet that you could hold onto and use as foot holds, halfway across there seems to be more of the stones jutting out that lead down into the chasm. The 10 foot wide chasm that is about 50 feet long.
With no one holding the rope above Calathes' rope would have fallen down allowing him to use it again for the new descent. You can tie the rope to an ally, one of the stone protrusions or to a jutting rock in the lair.
With Calathes' torch fallen from the massive spiders head, it shows that the chasm does indeed drop at least 30 feet for it got caught on something and the webbing around it has begun to slowly burn.
GM Wolf
Round 2
Calathes begins to climb down the wall with his rope, but he has another 7 checks to make, in each round he can do two climb checks. DC 5 to climb.
Climb: 8d20 ⇒ (18, 17, 14, 13, 18, 7, 2, 10) = 99
Round 4
The rock outcropping gives some but not enough to make any disturbance in Calathes progression down.
Round 5
Calathes has some issue with his grip but just does not progress as far as normal, wasting a move action.
Round 6
Calathes gets to the bottom of the chasm seeing that spider webs make up the floor. You still have a standard action that you can take. Several spiders the size of dogs start to come out of a hole straight ahead, below the torch by a few feet. They act after you.
Selena the Elfen Feline
Round 6
Those below can hear Selena yell out, "Watch out below it seems you have awoken the nest!"
Two spiders the size of dogs begin to climb down from the top of the vertical 40 foot shaft.
GM Wolf
Arvangail gets down with the rest of you and gets to work right away shooting arrows at the massive spider, though it looks like the tough hide of the creature makes the arrows have trouble penetrating some do draw blood.
Arvangail you are now on Round 7
Round 6
Three spiders advance on Calathes each of them get a bite in but none can connect with the half elf. One even provokes as it over extends itself. Two spiders begin to climb down the vertical shaft above the group.
Round 7

Round 6
"Arvangail, keep your focus on the large mother or whatever it is, I can handle anything that comes down on us and armored one can handle those below." He shouts out.
Drawing out the axe he waits for one of the spiders to get close enough to smash them.
Round 7
Readied action still holds to attack the spiders from above once they get in reach.
Large +1 greataxe: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 10 - 2 = 14 damage with PA: 2d6 + 12 + 6 ⇒ (2, 5) + 12 + 6 = 25

As Calathes finishes his quick with the greatsword he uses the momentum of the strike to create a deadly, crimson scythe.
attack (Scything Strike, power attack)1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18, damage3d6 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5, 5, 4) + 5 + 2 = 21
Scything Strike strikes two target's if it hits, they must be adjacent. I will begin the strike against the spider which provoked Calathes.
GM Wolf
Calathes strikes the two spiders severing legs and spewing inchor around him as the bodies fall to the webbing. Only one now threatens the crimson warlord.
Initiation of the maneuver takes a standard action, so you would not normally be able to do this, but I will allow it for now, since you could easily do that as your attack for Round 7, just need to finish up the last spider with your normal attack.
Arvangail Wintry
Round 7
Arvangail will unleash two arrows from his bow
Please add +1 to hit and damage if withing 30ft
PA Rapid shot Longbow: 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 1 ⇒ (19) + 8 - 2 - 1 = 241d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

GM Wolf
Round 7
Arvangail is at least 40 feet away from the massive spider and his two arrows strike true hurting it more. The spiders above climb down some 20 feet staying out of melee with the group but instead attempt to shoot webbing at those below. Krazok dodges the webbing shot at him but Arvangail is entangled, DC 12, hp 2, DR 5/-
The spider left in front of Calathes bites at him and misses pitifully.
Round 8

Round 8
Entangled Arvangail has a harder time to adjust his bow but he still tries none the less and will fire a single shot
PA Longbow: 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 - 1 = 181d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 1 = 16
add +1 for point blank if within 30ft
Krazok Vell Firesource
round 8
Krazok sees his ally in trouble and steps over to free him of the webbing, taking a handful of the stuff and tearing it from his body making it so that he is not entangled by the majority of the webs.
str check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 vs. 12
GM Wolf
Round 8
Arvangail is free from the entangling webs for now but the spiders shoot down more webbing and snag both Krazok and the elf now.
The spider below is sliced and its body falls limp to the ground.
The massive spider bellows and smashes against the stone framework of the upper tunnel, dust and rocks fall from the structure as a whole.
Round 9

Calathes the Crimson
With the broken corpses of the spiders around him Calathes moves up to face the spider queen...
Taking two move actions to get within 15 feet of the spider queen. Unsure if there are any barriers in Calathes's path, if so tell me of them and I will make the appropriate checks...
GM Wolf
Calathes moves forward walking over the corpses and the webbing. Soon to find his torch still clinging to the wall above him. The hole which is at face level looks like it would be a squeeze for him to fit into. Above Calathes the spider queen continues to try to break into the tight tunnel/chasm, she rages above you about 30 feet.
GM Wolf
The hole ahead would require a Dexterity check DC 10, to squeeze into it and continue moving through it, it is dark and you are not for sure where it goes. Otherwise you can attempt to climb up to the queen, 30 feet requiring 6 climb checks of DC 15, and then only be able to attack it with one hand as you hold onto the wall.
Arvangail Wintry
Round 9
if possible Arvanvail will try to aim at the large spider as he is entangled once again or shot at any other spiders if not possible
Please add +1 to hit and damage if within 30ft
PA Longbow Entangled: 1d20 + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 8 - 2 - 2 + 1 - 1 = 161d8 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 7 + 1 = 10
Krazok Vell Firesource
Round 9
He continues to pull off the webs from himself, then unleashes a burst of fire from his mouth burning the spiders above and most of the webbing.
Str check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 vs. 12
30 foot cone, Fire: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3) = 8, Reflex DC 16
GM Wolf
There is much effort on Calathes part but he does not get stuck and continues to squeeze through the hole. Soon he finds himself coming out of the hole and into another vertical shaft, luckily with solid rock right before him.
Once he gets out the rock seems to come alive with a glow. Geometric symbols appear in a green glow on the rock below him and then shoot up the shaft. The webs seem to burst into flames that touch the glowing symbols.
The vertical shaft seems to be well made with crafted stones. The walls are nearly smooth.
GM Wolf
Round 9
Now with the spiders burnt and their corpses dropping, Arvangail is still entangeled with Fizzy and Krazok next to him. Calathes has disappeared and the giant spider continues to rage at its inability to reach its prey. The arrow did not find a soft spot in its hide and merely falls away.
Round 10
22 Selena*
21 Calathes *
16 Fizzy (singing? inspire: +1 damage and to hit?)
12 monster spider
8 Krazok
7 Arvangail
5 spiders
It will take at least 2 rounds to crawl through the hole.
Krazok Vell Firesource
Krazok then tears off the webs entangling his elf ally. In a low growl he encourages, "Go ahead Elf, make that creature a pin cushion, how are you doing on arrows? Should I have Selena throw down another quiver?" He can't do much else right now and is trying to help.
Str check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 vs. 12
GM Wolf
As you reach up to find a handhold, a stone slides out a few inches, making a good handhold. The same happens for foot placement. Though the stones all are covered in the glowing green runes. It makes your assent that much easier.
Climb DC 15, 3 more checks.[/dice]
climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12 Round 12, no progress
climb: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Round 13, slip on the stone and fall, 10 feet. [ooc]Any thoughts?
Round 11 to 13
No threats appear.

Krazok Vell Firesource
Round 11
Fizzy, Arvangail do you want me to climb down and get my two javelins or should I stay and protect you?" Krazok asks. Looking around and not seeing any threats.
"Well Fizzy, we let the elf kill the spider from a distance or get close and possibly get eaten alive just like Avax. Calathes, where did you go? I say let the elf have some target practice. Selena can you see if there is any bows and arrows up there?" He speaks to those around him and yells up at Selena.
