Right-o - back on track
The brief pause that seemed to grasp the world breaks with a shudder and the animated armor continues a stoic and slow movement towards Khepri - who has presented himself as the primary target for it's wrath.
Your summoning of defensive magics and cascade of protective light from the sword of Sarenrae gird your strength and form. A decision then, of whether to press the fight...
The armor is definitely animated by some means... and you suspect not a returned spirit from the grave but rather an elemental animating force of some kind. The iconography on the armor doesn't suggest malevolence and instead makes it appear as though the armor was worn by a high ranking dwarf in the city guard or the like. You guess that it's likely going to be hard to kill... and you suspect that it might take wholesale destruction of it's form before it will cease it's assault.
No special abilities or attacks here, apart from hits hard and hard to kill (DR as well as AC).
The suit is moving 'slowly' and you could easily outpace it. Just a slight pause to ensure that you want to press into combat before I put together a map for this evening.
Dolgrym Sharpaxe
Aw hell, let's see what happens. If you see a fat dwarf jogging away though, it might be Dolgrym, lol!

Remember your buffs, guys.
Dolgrym raises his head and fires off his magic, hoping to knock the magic armor to the ground, if that were even possible.

Round 1
Love will delay until either it attacks or has been attacked by a party member at that point the dwarf leaves the shadows, takes flank, and tries to slide a dagger into something vital.

Pardym don't forget the Bull's strength buff I placed on you.
Khepri of the Dawn
Don't forget it may also be prone and you have flank which could essentially give you a +6 more. On the downside, the bless and Khepri's light bonus to hit do not stack (though the +1 damage and AC is fine)
Feigr Roarrgun
As everyone moves to attack the armor, Feigr concentrates on the dwarven spirits in the black halls, drawing one forth to slam against the armor with the memory of an ancient hammer. Casts spiritual weapon Attack 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 1 = 18 Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
DM - Voice of the Voiceless
Dolgyrm's missive of arcane force slams into the suit of armor with the force of a giant's fist and knocks it solidly to the ground. Khepri takes advantage by moving up to strike a brutally efficient blow that slices through the metal of the suit's armor and meets a surprising amount of resistance from the empty space within the armor.
The blows of Padrym and Love are less successful, despite the armor's obvious disadvantage from lying prostrate. Feigr's summoned weapon is similarly ineffectual.
Cynara technically has a spare action here.
The suit of armor is not fazed by the ferocity of your opening action, and instead swivels while prone and brings it's hammer down in a thunderous strike against the ground. A shudder rushes out from the impact site and those near find it difficult to keep their footing...
DC 17 Reflex save or knocked prone
...and the suit then forces itself back to it's feet.
Updated Map - I widened the corridor a bit.
Back over to you guys.
Khepri of the Dawn
Reflex Save 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Khepri feels the ground start to shake and uses his larger size to brace himself between the two walls and keep his feet under him. How did it do that?
"This thing is full of surprises!" Khepri says as he once again slashes at the creature looking for a weak spot in the armor.

Just noticed my Ref craziness. The +7 should be a +4 for Stability (if it applies). Put the +3 for Ref and then meant to put the +4 to Stability and ended up adding them both.

With the extra action, Cynara moves up to D-8 and casts protection from evil on herself.

Bugger - I'd thought this got updated but the post must have been eaten, apologies.
Between the repeated strikes of Padrym and Khepri, combined with the ballistic assault of Dolgrym that continues to put the suit of armor upon the floor the force that binds the suit together begins to dissipate. As it stubbornly attempts to rise again from the floor, it collapses completely and the suit of armor and hammer clatter to the floor with empty metallic sounds ringing through the tunnels. Once the suit has stilled the area is quiescent for the first time since you were led this way by the rat men.
Combat Over
Padrym Steelribs
"That seem too easy to anybody else?"
Padrym stands silently over the broken armor.
Although we did spend some time getting ready for it I suppose.
Female: Indeed.
Cynara
The elf moves up and nudges one of the armor pieces with a booted foot. "I trust this sort of thing wasn't common when the dwarves were in charge here?" She then murmurs a quick orison (detect magic) and examines the armor and hammer.
Khepri of the Dawn
Khepri moves to check the door it was hammering on to check its condition or see why it was being hammered on, "For once with something I am involved with, silence will be drawing more attention then noise!"
Ernst "Love" Lowfield
"Bugger.... company's coming. Can one of you duplicate the metal banging until we want the rats here? Grab the hammer and hit the door quick!"
No one has Ghost sound?!? ^(*%#$*&))!
Love examines the door. Open-able? Hopelessly jammed? Locked? Trapped?
(Ok, that last is unlikely given the hammer massage but paranoia means never having to say you're sorry. Perception, canny 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31 add 2 for stone and 2 again for traps. Also trap finder and stone cunning free checks.)
Khepri of the Dawn
"I'm good at making noise, let me do it"
Khepri will sheathe his sword and stowe his shield (if needed) and grab the hammer and try to duplicate the noise the thing was making. I'm assuming I can do this as long as I am still enlarged at least
Dolgrym Sharpaxe
Dolgrym grins when the armor stops moving. A well planned attack is the key to any 'easy' victory.
He waits to see if there is any magic detecting from the armor and weaponry.
I guess we should keep hammering until we figure out the status of that door?
DM - Voice of the Voiceless
Both the armor and hammer both radiate magical auras and are exceptionally well made.
Full plate and a earthbreaker
Looking over the door, Love finds that it is relatively undamaged - and with a little time he even thinks that it might be able to be opened if he allowed himself a few minutes and some elbow grease.
Khepri takes up the hammer and begins to ring a sonorous and regular tone against the wall to ward off any attention that might come.
Cynara
Hearing Perception check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
So close! If not for Khepri going all Coro di zingari on the door, she might have heard something.
Ernst "Love" Lowfield
Look a rogue listening at a door. Are we old school yet? Perception, canny 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20Aw man.....
"Right, Oh dear you have been through the wars...." Love mutters to the door as he begins to work. "...perfect tool for the perfect job..." Love removes a crowbar from his pack and begins to pry. Either to open the door or to create a space for his periscope.
DM - Voice of the Voiceless
Love manages to work the opening mechanism and cracks a thin inch wide crack to work his periscope through. The interior of the room is dark and he can see some filth smeared upon the ground and a hunched creature huddling in the back of the room, flinching with the sound of each hammer strike... Love can see that it is man-sized... and has a tail like a rat.
How would darkvision work with mirrors?
Ernst "Love" Lowfield
Should work just like normal vision. If {distance from mirror to viewer + distance from mirror to subject </= 60' then the subject is viable. Otherwise the mirror will be viable as a source of reflected "light" or whatever dark vision uses in it's place. Dark-sense/tremorsense would not do mirrors "seeing" only a smooth flat surface but Dark vision is vision so mirrors should work. In my opinion anyway.
To the wee bestie: "Pssst. You in the corner. Ye alive or nay?"
