Hello!
Welcome to the campaign. I'm super excited to get going and I have started the thread. Remember, this campaign is intended to be somewhat leisurely and narrative-driven. You are free to pursue any threads your character is interested in, and to drop those you do not interested in.
To begin with, please post a quick, one-sentence description of your character and what would be publicly known about them in the town (the equivalence of a DC 10 Knowledge (Local) check).
For your edification, here is the city block for Caesure

Thanks for the selection, it should be a fun game!
Pandora's hair and skin have both gone an ashen-grey color, and her eyes seem dull and hooded all the time. She stands shorter than even the gnomes in the town, and her appearance is almost childlike. She's never seen around town without a long, eel-like creature, and rumor has it that it's the only thing keeping her from starving to death.
Not so good at the one-sentence thing...
EDIT: Are we free to post in the gameplay thread?
Vehemence, the Provoker
We are starting legends here. I hope you're all aware.
Vehemence, the Provoker of Hearts, Dethroned:
The draconic fey-king Vehemence lost his crown and was given the most ironic token; a still beating heart wrapped around a chain. The creator of war now garbs himself to take part in the craft of his design and reclaim his kingdom.
2 sentences.... sorry
About the Marketplace, is that reference for potential interaction or is this an extra allowance allotted to us? I am confused. Thanks!
I will soon go about reading all of your profiles.
Edit: The Destruction/story-stealing has happened already, correct? Or is this starting just before?

Known Stuff
Lost his empire. Trying to reclaim it. Very calm and collected individual
Just check if his crunch is okay. It's been a while ;)

Alright, we waiting on Tree of Life? I went into her posting history, and she hasn't posted anything since the fourth. She may have dropped off the boards. A real shame, since I lost out on a slot in a Rise of the Runelords game to one of her characters, and I was looking forward to playing with her.
Maybe replace her?

Hey, my intro post doesn't have to be 'real' time if you want to place it when it might be more dramatic/convenient. I don't mind 'coming in late' in the story or the actual Ethere Court scene (which I imagine would take place after this one shortly). Whatever works best for you cinematically. I could be mourning my dissolved kingdom and contemplating the chained heart in the meanwhile of Brambleson's tellings.

*waves* Hello! I'll be joining with Jairdan Wynne As soon as I toss the crunch in.
Me'mori
Goodness, but this will be taxing on the skill points I (don't) already have. I believe I'll try working off of the concept of "Illumination", so I'll be spending skill points to get at least a rank in every Knowledge skill, and seeing what happens from there. "Holy Illumination" would be a bit pompous, I think, and not to my liking.
Vehemence, the Provoker
Hey guise I might not post that regularly, I'm traveling in foreign lands until the 12th. But I'll be trying my darndest to.
Vehemence, the Provoker
Some rambles:
- These interactions between Vehemence and Amaterasu may end up violent, are you prepared? If it ever turned out to be a grinding PvP, you'd probably get the win on me (Though I assume our compatriots would bar our skirmish, at least for your sake). To Amaterasu, obvs. I love the angle and am ready if you are to continue this how it would naturally go, lol.
- Pandora, our shattering is somewhat the same; a curse of passivity. What if our malefactor, then, is also the same? DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN
- This is going to be a really freaking fun PbP.
- Slothsy, you have complete creative control over what this thief and this heart pendant actually is. I have some ideas if you want them, but it's yours to play out (or not) in whatever fashion ye may desire. The 'thief' might not even in truth be a storykin/woman/entity but an avatar of the Destruction... or whatever.... but yeah.
- I love you guise already.

- Also Jairdan, our characters may very well have crossed paths many a time throughout the aeons. Most likely, Vehemence would not have paid you any heed, or even noticed you as a living entity, but you would remember him. And perhaps even hate him! As you would guide the heroes who wielded you with their light, you could see Vehemence as he crept up to them, piercing their heart with his red claw, filling them with their righteous furor, sometimes to their victory, and other times to their doom.
You would have seen Vehemence on many an occasion throughout history imbuing righteous heroes with pure rage in their last battles, knowingly sending them to their doom. Then, once the dust had settled, Vehemence would almost ritually gather their blood into a dark chalice, and drink it as a wine. It would seem odd, but most often when Vehemence imbues heroes and antagonists with his 'blessing', he is invisible to mortal eyes. (you are not a mortal, in the mundane sense. I don't think any of the 'kin are.)
The truth of the wicked occurrence of the wine is that Vehemence must take the blessing he gives back, or he will lose essence, and power. When he does drink the blood, he takes the vehemence from both the blessing imbued, AND the vehemence which already dwelt inside that heroes' heart, gaining MORE essence and power than before, much in the manner of an interest rate.
But I don't think that Jairdan would neccessarily understand that. He might, but if he does, then it would be a very very big red flag to you, and a very very big reason for you to hate him. You might just view him as a force of nature, like gravity or friction, because in truth that is all that he is. But you, specifically, would know of him, and have seen his cruel deeds.
Do with it what you will, Jairdan.

As a note, since you mentioned it, I don't like super-heavy PVP in the campaigns I run and would rather not run it as an actual combat. I had a game recently burst into flames and die over trying to settle interparty conflict via PVP, which I'd rather avoid. I'm sure there's ways around personality conflicts without coming to rolled-out blows. Intimidate checks and such are a thing.

Yes, i would like to avoid rolling sneak attack damage on anyone at this point in time

Hmm.. intriguing. That is something to consider. On that same track, Jairdan is not a Concept Kith, so he might very well brush that line by being "Illumination" as best he would know how.. A flame given choice is given possibilities, so perhaps he would try to be a "light" in a different sense. The visual part might be evident in his class-- not that he gets any of the "Light" abilities yet. Perhaps as they gain more of themselves back-- if they gain more of themselves back-- we can have some interesting interactions.
Although, a flame out of control starts fires. Huh.. something else to consider.

Ok, sorry for the longer-than-expected absence. I'm now properly medicine'd up and my house has water again! Updates will be more regular. Please try to post about once every 24-48 hours during the weekdays! This is particularly important when we're in combat. If combat's been waiting on a particular character to post for more than 48 hours, I reserve the right to post for that character or to delay their turn.

Ditto. =^^=
