Even rests the 8' pole against his left foot, and then steps in, to brace against the incoming rush, hoping to stop the giant in his traps beyond ready reach, fearing that the creatures' long arms will make it moot.

IF the Ogre has reach(IE, able to hit him from where it slammed into the spear), Even drops the longspear, grabbing the Halberd he'd set conveniently against the wall next to him and steps in to attack.

IF the Ogre does NOT have reach(IE, the swing was several feet short of able to hit him from where it slammed into the spear, not just a close miss), Even stabs the Ogre from reach with the Longspear from where he is.

It is clear the ogre, is no longer living in the world. The wizard, presumably brought his trusted friend/minion to serve him in the afterlife.

The armor, when you try to remove it, fades. It is a mere illusion to make the deceased look more fierce. In the room, you find a variety of goodies. Among the spoils are:

Yurian, darts forward, and let's a twang hum as the crossbow bolt flies through the air. He sees it penetrate the exoskeleton, and sees it sink into the flesh. Upon closer inspection, the bolt pierced between its eyes and into the brain of the vermin. It collapses to the flier, the clicking of its pincers fades after a mere moment. The crack-shot aim means there will be enough food for all tonight between the fresh crab and game bird caught by Xipe a hour before.

Hoping the creature descended some altitude to use point blank shot.

Single Arrow attack, deadly aim, possible point blank, studied target: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
(add +1 to hit roll if its within 30')

Arrow Damage, Deadly Aim, possible PB, studied target: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 add +1 more if its within 30'
