Fear and doubt sends Ito immediately back out the front doors. Alarin's glaive strikes an invisible force around the woman, who also dodges away from Teke's electric bolt. Eazy's Color Spray send the young man to the ground.

The woman shrugs off the dazzle and also Naruda's Sleep spell. She grabs Eazy's arm and sends a huge charge of electricity into him. [10 pts]

Headband Man sends a crossbow bolt at Alarin's head and misses! He arms himself with a hooked axe.

And I thought the paladin would have the best chance against fear! Sorry Ito. Effect lasts only 1 round.

Hey, so ummmm, not to be a pain but I should have had cover because I was around the corner.


No prob. You mean the trip or the crit? Both were rolled at natural 20, cover didn't help, lucky rolls. Even if nat 20 wasn't auto success, their bonus would have still succeeded.

A mosaic of a monkey-faced figure decorates the floor of this room, though the tiles that would form its eyes are missing. The north end of the room is filled with rubble blocking an arched passageway. To the west, vines and foliage intrude into the temple through an open-air balcony, while a similar balcony to the east remains relatively clear of plant life. An open archway leads south.

@GM, I believe any class with spellcasting ability of the proper type can use such a wand. The rule even gives the example of a 3rd level Paladin unable to cast spells yet being fully able to use a Divine wand. Failing that, Eazy is trained in UMD (+6) and failures don't expend charges. Let me know if I need to do anything or I've got this wrong, please.

Witches also have cure light wounds on their spell list, so that is an option too.

Alarin does not detect any magic in the immediate area. He can feel that the walls are too thick to penetrate with the detection.

Nevermind; I see that the southern archway is where we came from.

Naruda whispers to the group, "Maybe Snowflake can get through that rubble." She lets the little white weasel scamper down her leg and it begins to climb through the rubble in the northern part of the room. "Stay safe, little one."

Naruda uses her wand of mage armor on the familiar before it leaves.

How will Naruda use the Empathic Link to explore via Snowflake?

Snowflake runs easily up the debris then disappears over the other side. It sticks it's head up a moment later, indicating that there may be room for only small creatures to squeeze through. [Take 10 climb, Escape DC30]

Basically, with empathic link, I think all Naruda can really get from Snowflake is a sense of his emotions. She doesn't have a way to talk with him yet.

Only Teke or Ito can squeeze through with Escape DC30. Exacavation will be nearly impossible without tools and time. There must be another way.....

Teke checks the ledge where Headband Man leapt into the jungle and finds a narrow path extends between the exterior wall of the temple behind the thick web of vines and tree branches that cover the temple’s walls.

On the other side... a 20-foot-tall, high-relief sculpture of a mountain dominates the north end of this large chamber. A statue of a figure now missing its head sits in the lotus position at the mountain’s peak, while smaller statues of monkey-faced pilgrims rest on ledges farther down the mountain. Shattered pieces of yet more monkey statues litter the floor. The southern half of the room is filled with rubble, obstructing an arched passageway to the south. In the center of the room, a small enclosed shrine made of dark brown stone faces south toward the rubble. A hallway to the west leads to a balcony overrun by foliage, while a hallway to the east leads to an open balcony.

Alarin does not detect any magic down the hall. Both he and Teke sees a 20-foot-tall, high-relief sculpture of a mountain dominates the north end of this large chamber. A statue of a figure now missing its head sits in the lotus position at the mountain’s peak, while smaller statues of monkey-faced pilgrims rest on ledges farther down the mountain. Shattered pieces of yet more monkey statues litter the floor. The southern half of the room is filled with rubble, obstructing an arched passageway to the south which Naruda weasel came through. In the center of the room, a small enclosed shrine made of dark brown stone faces south toward the rubble area.

So I am having a little trouble visualizing this. Is there enough space for myself and my mount to get across?


Yes, Ito and mount can easily cross. Basically it is a 5 feet drop onto the green and 5 feet up onto the other ledge where Alarin is standing.
