Since seems like all rolls are covered I'll play this guy cause...i kinda like him.

This is a pre-typed message I created for this situation to allow me to copy/paste the message to all the games I am taking part in.

I suffer from Chronic Pancreatitis that on average every 6 months turns into Acute Pancreatitis. The Acute version requires me to be hospitalized between 3 to 5 days on average if it is severe enough. Unfortunately, my local hospital has Piazo's website blocked for some reason. So during this time I will not be able to post anything.

I'm posting this message because I can feel the pain that begins the Acute stage and will be going to the ER. If it is not severe enough to require hospitalization then I will make a post as soon as possible to state things are all clear. If that post doesn't happen within 12 hours, then it means I am in the hospital.

If need be, feel free to bot my character during combat or if any skill rolls that would really help the group.

Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.

Good news. My pancreatic enzyme count was higher than it should be but not high enough to hospitalize me. So they just prescribed me some oxycodone and sent me home.

That's good news! Hopefully your condition will improve and the symptoms will subside for a long, long, long (much longer than whatever is normal plus a year or two) time. My wife suffers from all kinds of stuff, so I never take health for granted.

Just a follow-up to Traianus on the familiar topic. As a fairly experienced GM myself (if not so experienced in PFS GMing admittedly): I really can't see the problem with asking your familiar to do this. First your Paladin gave up a lot to get this mostly flavor companion (unless you think guidance at will is over-powering)...Second the bird clearly has the intelligence and ability to understand you. Third (and most important in my book) it's just cool...(and doesn't break the game).

If there was an argument against it it would be that the bird is diminutive in size which means it weighs less than a pound probably .
That means it would be trying to take off and fly with an object more than double it's body weight (alchemist fire is 1lb) however according to raw the thrush has a strength of 1 so it's light load is 3lb or less so theoretically the bird could pick up and fly with an object x3 it's own weight...

lastly remember the social contract in most PFS or any adventures
"Once a familiar enters combat...it's fair game for the GM"

Check his carrying capacity. Move action to retrieve; move action to get there; free action fly check DC 15 to hover. Round 2 he can 'drop it' as a standard action and roll a ranged touch attack to simulate aiming; then take a move action.

If you have flyby attack you can take your standard action anywhere during the move action (i.e. the perfect 'bomber' build)

@Traianus: Yeah, for sure you can do that! Son's action economy looks spot on.

@Mar: Don't worry about the 50% more damage, I'll calculate it.

@Son: So, the nitty gritty and the way I was reading the situation:

encumbrance shouldn't be a problem because the light encumbrance limit is only written into the rules for flying mounts and, I think, barding. Heavy load is 2.5 pounds, and the acid flask puts her into medium load. Reduces her fly speed from 40 feet to 30 feet. As long as she's moving at least 50% of her speed and isn't making a turn of 45 degrees or more, she probably doesn't need to make a fly check to fly, but what a complex maneuver is is up to the GM, so if Tektite tells me she needs a fly check, she'll make a fly check. :)

Next round should be a move action to move 15 feet (half movement, no fly check triggered) and a standard action to bombard (must be directly above, it looks like).

Assuming this thing doesn't burn up before then!

Dear GM, as I read now that the scarab sages will be retired by the end of the season, I would like to change Tareal´s faction to the exchange.
This will have no impact at all for this secenario.

Should we start thinking about reporting this as an abandon game? It's been over a week since last post and almost 2 weeks since anything posted in the game-play section...GM give you a couple more days but in the future please at least update the group. I know life happens but it only takes a few seconds to let us know what's going on..I noticed you started another group as well ...please let us know by Tuesday Jan. 9th what's going on or I'll ask that this game be taken over by another GM.

Sorry if there is something pressing or tragic happening in your life. But, being we've been out of communication there's no way for us to know that.

Sad to say, it is one of the natures of PbP games where the GM will disappear without warning.

I've had it happen in 3 of the 5 games I've played.
