Even so, I leave no one in bondage, he says helping the slaves out of their cages and counseling them to be quiet. Also, I've an idea - we're taking our friend here in case of any 'mistakes' as it will difficult to track him down again.

He gathers what he can, gags the slaver, strips him down to his loin cloth, puts a hood or sack on his head, then dirties the mans clothes with ashes or any dust or flour he can find then instructs the freed slaves to flank the man closely and that freedom and a few coins can be theirs if they obey and be quiet.


Searching the room, the party finds a secret compartment in Pildapush’s desk conceals a secret compartment. Inside, the party finds a record of slave sales, including Lady Anilah’s purchase from Fredrik and her sale to the No Return. Next to Fredrik’s name in the ledger is another name—the Taldan spy Renmil Emprey.

Finishing with business at Pildapush's, the party heads toward the docks to find the "No Return". The docks are still crowded as the sun begins to lower in the sky. Picking their way through the crowds, the party eventually spies a single masted ship with the name their looking for on the side. Suddenly three halflings emerge from the crowd, blades drawn. With wicked grins, they attack the party!

Vahn steps back away from the halfling in front of him and then tosses a bomb up at the archers, aiming for the archer in the back, wanting to even the odds.

Faldoc quickly raises his bow and fires at one of the snipers on the roof. The arrow flies true, sinking deeply into the halfling's chest.

Vahn steps back and lobs a bomb at the further halfling. The bomb just misses, the bomb falls behind the halflings, but splashes both of them. The halflings are able to avoid much of the splash, but the one with the arrow in him, looks worse for the damage.

Morgrim quickly sinks his battleaxe in the halfing's skull, dropping him instantly.

Hamaillii's hair begins lashing and withing about as it smacks a halfling and proceed to coil around to the target.

Arryn draws his sword and slices through a halfling on the upstroke, catching the target in the neck. The halfing crumples into a pool of blood.

The crew of the ship lets out a series of curses and insults as the Pathfinders gain the advantage.

Vahn pulls out his crossbow instead of another bomb and takes aim at the other halfling on the roof.

Faldoc takes aim and drops another halfling, to the continued jeering of the gnolls on board the ship.

Vahn grabs his crossbow and fires at the other rooftop halfling, but the bolt flies wide.

The halfling on the roof fires an arrow at the woman hairing his companion, but the shot misses it's mark.

Faldoc turns and aims his bow toward the gnolls as if he expected the battle to continue, but stops short of shooting one. So, is that where we were heading before that interruption? Maybe we should be fighting our way on.

Vahn moves up and pulls out a bomb, and mixes the contents together tossing it between the two Gnolls.

As the bomb is in the air he yells out "Try and keep one alive in case we need to question them."


The gnoll in the middle is up in a watchtower. Allowing a little retcon license.

Faldoc fires his bow again and the gnoll on the left goes down!

Vahn lobs a bomb in a high arc across the boat. The bomb slowly falls and explodes on the head of the gnoll in the watchtower.

Thoroughly pissed, the gnoll in the watchtower climbs down and moves toward the gangplank, wielding a whip and a handaxe.
