Changed one of Rosa's Domains to fire, fits better with back story.
Also GM would you allow variant-channeling
Fire: [1d3] Fire DMG 30'r + Catch fire.
Harm—The damage effect is enhanced for creatures with the cold subtype. Affected creatures who fail their saves catch on fire.
would be fun and go with her back story of burning a whole town down.
She set fire to the people.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

Ok so I am thinking I would like to go with the Changling. I have always found them fascinating. The rough bits, and it will either change or get much more definition, are the she felt the call. She left her family and went in search of something, not sure what it was but that need was all consuming. She found a coven of hags. They were so pleased to see one of theirs return.
She was going to become a hag and belong. But the people who raised her and loved her asked a group of Heroes to find their little girl. That group did so. She was with them for a while an more than willing to go though with joining them. It felt so right, so natural.
Some of the prep work had begun. She was to be remade. But those Heroes arrived and slaughtered her family while she hid. Fearing death she begs for something to help her. That is when her eidolon first manifests. The reason for the many low stats is due to a combination of of the rituals to become a Hag, the fact that it was never completed, and the bond being forged with the Eidolon. I am thinking I would like for the Eidolon to have once been much more powerful. When it bonded to her it was weakened as was she. If that is aceptable. Mostly for fluff and that the Eidolon will act as a mentor and moral compass for the little Changling. Along with giving her the means to escape the Heroes.
One of the Heroes was a Holy Warrior of the Inheritor. This embittered her towards that whole faith. It is not so much loyalty to this nation but a deep hatred of the Inheritors faith that will pull her into the conflict. They are pushy and intolerant people.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

Slowly walking down the road and trying not to shiver under her clothing despite the rather nice weather outside. Gods it is so cold, always so cold. No matter what I do. Hopefully there is a fire at the tavern.
Grinning around chattering teeth she quickens her pace when she sees the the Burning Heretic in the distance. If that pace causes her to be short of breath upon arrival so be it. If it is full of people it will be warm.
A pale and gaunt woman slips in though the door. Keeping her stained and tattered cloak tight around her partially emaciated form. Staggering steps take her to the bar. Grinning while placing a few coins down, Whiskey Punch please, you sweet creature. . Once holding the wonderful liquid that will put a fire in her cold belly. She turns and takes in the beautifully eclectic crowd.
Moving though the masses content to just feel the energy of the place when words catch her ear stopping her in her tracks. Biting back a growl she moves towards the Constable and Teifling. My apologies for interrupting your conversation but I have heard the strangest murmuring in here to day. Are we going to war? Her oddly mismatched eyes seem to light up at the idea of battle.

Seth, I see no overstepping. Gunslinger is fine.
Angelpalm, no third party. Alignment will be any Evil. (By which I mean, if it isn't Evil to start with, it *will be very quickly* unless you leave the party.)
Rosa, variant channeling is fine.
I can already see from the RP that having to select only some of you is going to be heart-ripping for me.

Rosa_Luminass |

Thanks GM, I think I have a nice theme with her now.
Rosa turns her head and looks at the new comer, Noting the shivering.
Its like some manikin and come to life and is looking at you, yet her movements seem fluid, its just her face that seems fixed. Her voice comes.
"Word has it that the Iomedaean crusade called the Glorious Reclamation has invaded Cheliax and intends to destroy the ruling house of Thrune. A will be ordered to go aid in stopping it, I have stopped them before and will again. What I wish to know is, who here would be willing to come with me?"
As she says the last part she looks around the room seeing of any respond.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

Taking a quick sip of her whiskey and feeling the burn slide down her throat to settle in her belly. Grinning against the rim of the cup at the woman's words. Lowering her cup and meeting the woman in the eyes, That certainly sounds like quite the mission. And certainly I can support the idea of purging then from this plabe. But why in the world are you recruiting in a tavern though?

Tavitha |

"What do you mean, do you know of this thing?"
Tavitha raised an eyebrow at the inquiry. "That's what they call it," she said, dryly. "Glorious, hrmph! So eager to find glory they'll run right into a sword..." A wicked smile slowly formed as she imagined fools in shiny mail quite literally running to impale themselves on enemy blades. She drew a sip from her bottle to bring herself back to reality.
Tavitha favored the shivering newcomer with a glance, and noticed how quickly the conversation spread. Her grin soon returned as she discovered why: not five minutes here, and a job had already fallen into her lap. "I can help you kill rebels," she said. "If there's gold in it."

Aevelyn BlackHair |

Aevelyn takes another sip of the bloodwine, marveling at the fragrant aroma. Hmmm...a fine vintage. The innkeep has done his research here....I am impressed.
Turning her attention to the newcomers she notes the arrival of...an Oread? Fascinating. Her studies had told her of such a race but she had never even seen one, until now.The arrival of the tall alabaster tiefling sends a shudder down her spine.
She is truly touched by the planes...so strongly I can practically feel it from over here! I must know more...
She barely notes the arrival of the changeling before she stands up from her table and slowly approaches the other ladies talking before clearing her throat. "Perhaps there is something...more to this that a simple rebellion? Perhaps the Iomedaeans have amassed a large army, possibly strong enough to topple the Thrice-Damned House of Thrune?"

Lucy Arroway |

Soralia's ears twitch at the sound of a call to action. "Oh, you mean there's actual fun to be had in this miserably rigid country?" She stands, tightening her hand around the whip at her side. "Murder and mayhem on a bunch of idiot upstarts, even? Well now that just sounds like a grand old time." She saunters over to the bar where the others sit and leans forward. "I do believe this may be the start of a beautiful friendship."

Profession Smith 6 ranks |

There was a buzz in the city streets this night, a buzz the likes of which Balewyn had never heard before. Something big had happened...or was happening. The woman knew she had two choices: Stop someone in the street and ask what all the ruckus was about (Unbloody likely!); or do what she usually did.
Balewyn entered the Burning Heretic and made a beeline for either a shadowy corner table or the darkest end of the bar. Though tall and muscular, her form was definitely female in shape, her figure accentuated by the form-fitting suit of black studded leather armor she donned. Indeed, black seemed to be something of a theme with the woman: the leather boots and gloves she wore were also that color, as was the hooded cloak she wore. Even her face seemed black, although she kept her head tilted downward and enclosed within the folds of her hood. Drow, perhaps?
Once she was seated and the annoyingly attractive serving wench came to take her order, the figure raised two black figures to the server before waving her on her way. Taking something small, narrow, and (of course) black out of her belt pouch, Balewyn did what she always did: sat and listened while she waited for her drinks to arrive.
Still leaning toward human slayer; put the 3 I rolled into Charisma.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

need a description DAA, what do you look like? Slave woman in rags, adventure etc
"Can you suggest a better place to do so?"
It's very hard to tell if she's being sarcastic or genuinely asking. Such is the lack of emotions in her odd voice.
My apologies Rosa. For the time I will go with the name Shiloh.
The young woman cocks her head to the side, simply staring at the Tiefling with sunken in eyes. Those eyes, one a vibrant purple and the other a pale green, move to take in the other woman. With both of her thin hands gripping her cup the tattered cloak now hangs limply to reveal a loose grey skirt and an to large red blouse that hands limply on a thin frame.
If she were to fill out a little more she would be beautiful with almost white skin, high cheekbones, and thick black hair. In her current state though she would still cause plenty of backwards glances but the gauntness of her makes that beauty unnerving.
Chapped lips part to show bright white teeth in a wide grin, I suppose that is true. This is a good place to find a wide array of people. But would it not be better to disburse the information and collect soldiers who enlist when they are sober?
Is that better?

Rosa_Luminass |

Looks at the young woman,
"Drunk or sober if they fight they will gain preeseage wealth and power. What more do mortals want. But for me there is a better compelling factor. Invaders have come and they dare desecrate Hells holyland. For that alone they must perish with extreme prejudice. So that none dare atemp such an act again. I intend to personly find, torture and kill as many follows of that so called God as I can. The master of the hells will have his payment in blood and souls."
This again is said in the other worls voice. At a statement of fact.
gm I must warn you Rosa is very evil, but she has a logic to her actions. To her the hells stand the line between the world and the madness of the void. Chaos must not brake the world. To her the ends justify the means. So Rosa is not just evil for Evil sake, how every she can be very very affetvie in the use of cruelty at a tool.

Tavitha |

Tavitha drained her bottle and scowled at the brown glass in disappointment. She slammed two more silvers on the counter and gestured for another. More and more people had shown interest in the conversation, and it seemed everyone shared an opinion of the rebels. She uncorked her second bottle.
"Hell can have their souls," she said. "And you can have the power and prestige. I just want blood to spill and coin to spend."

Rosa_Luminass |

Rosa looks at the dark eyed woman, again looking blind with her silver ball eyes seeming to focus on nothibg.
'And you shall have both, for you keep what you kill when you march with the hords of the Hells. Even the ranks of our own army shall know us, for we shall give no pitty or queter. Hounds of Hell do not."
If any one has Kn local they may know what Rosa means by this and her infamy in burning a whole town to the ground just to make a point.

baticeer |

Never mind my previous question about occult classes (although someone else might be interested in the answer I suppose), I was flipping through information on the allowed races and stumbled on the Ifrit Immolator inquisitor archetype, which immediately gave me the idea for an Asmodeus-worshipping pyromaniac inquisitor. :D
At one corner of the bar there sits a young woman with deep red skin, garbed in the black and red robes of an Asmodean. This is the ifrit known as Cherry. Her fingers tap nervously on the bar as she hears the discussion between the others.
Rosa in particular catches her eye. For once I am not the one who stands out of this crowd the most, she thinks with amusement as she watches the imposing tiefling. As a fellow disciple of the Dark Prince, Cherry has heard about Rosa's infamous past. Best not bring it up directly with this one, but oh, those flames must have been a delight!
"Well, I'd join my sword to yours," she adds to Rosa, sliding down towards where the other women are discussing the news. "And our Hellfire together would help burn out those rebels." The last is delivered with a grin, and a flick of her finger against the wooden bar that leaves the slightest scorch-mark.

Melisanya |

Melinsanya , paused at the door of the Burning Heretic and looked to the sky. Beyond the gathering clouds a thousand points of light stared back, watching from beyond the void. The surface is so strange she thought. Stars, endless skies, wind, rain and the described but to date unexperienced snow. She still didn't know ow she felt about it, water that is frozen but soft, falling from the sky and covering everything is a blanket of white. Like volcanic ash she wondered.
She smiled at the overly dramatically painted sign above the door. Red flames encased the screaming figure as a hooded inquisitor stood by in judgement. A simple work but a pleasing image. Then she glanced about the street making sure she hadn't been followed. That was good, she wouldn't put it beyond that.... that woman.
She shouldn't have been surprised but somehow she didn't see it coming. Luckily it was more a matter of insults and presumption rather than threats.
Yesterday she had seen The Rise of Rylinor at the Blackfire Theater. The production was low end but the performance was solid. Afterwards she had sought out the prima donna, expressed her admiration and asked how best she might pursue a career in the Cheliaxian opera.
Madame Bonnisard had explained that if she had talent to match her looks, she should be able to balance out her being an outsider with the fact that she was exotic. She further suggested that Melisanya could approach some of the traveling companies or perhaps look to perform in a inn as many of the more expensive ones hired singers to entertain their patrons.
When Melisanya received these suggestions with less than great enthusiasm the diva had advised that perhaps she might be best served by getting an agent. She smiled and told her to ask the stage manager for directions to Lady Vyncara Bleth. Grinning, she laughed and said she was sure that Lady Bleth would be able to find her employment.
And like a fool, she believed her.
It seemed that she was going to have to quickly learn to recognize the spiders and serpents that slithered on the surface.
So she had gone and met with Lady Bleth. In short order she had realized that Lady Bleth wasn't an agent, she was a procurer, a Madame. The Lady had casually explained that Melisanya's exotic beauty would indeed make her highly desirable, famous and rich. After that she could buy her own theater and perform as much as she wanted. A rich patron could might speed up this process.
Melisanya was appalled that she had been played for such a fool. Then much to her amazement Lady Bleth had suggested that she would have to "assess" the drow's skills and determine is she need training.
Training! The thought of it was ridiculous.
The mere suggestion was almost enough to warrant the madams death. To think that she, in whom the blood of House Misraria ran would do such a thing. It was repugnant! Unthinkable.
While she may be hiding in exile on the surface and forced to live amongst humans, she had standards. She would rather die than denigrate herself so. Just the thought of it still made her stomach turn in revulsion.
She would never lie with someone so aged, so wrinkled.
It took every ounce of self control she had to wordlessly rise and leave. No doubt Lady Bleth was laughing, maybe she and Madam Bonnisard know each other and were even now sharing the story.
Vengeance would be hers. She wasn't sure when, she wasn't sure how but she would, no, she must make sure that the story became a lesson for all of her enemies.
Grinning she stepped up and entered the inn.
******************************************
As she sat eating the under-spiced mushroom stew and black bread, she drank in the ambiance of the inn. Fortunately the performer wasn’t an opera singer. He had a fine voice but it was clear he didn’t have the training. The popular ballads of not too subtle moral lessons were amusing enough.
While he was taking a break and sharing some news, he garnered the attention of a very strange looking tiefling. In short order an overly loud, overly public discussion of how to seek out traitors and put them to the sword insued.
She listened with keen interest, not because she knew or cared much about the local politics but because she needed to build a web of her own of contacts and allies. Why supporter of House Thune? At this point it would be foolish to ally herself with a rebellion in an environment where she didn’t know who was who and what was what.
She finally looked up as the Tiefling seemed to raising a squad to her cause. She wasn’t sure of the events she referenced but she her curiosity was peaked.
Slowly sliding back the hood she had been wearing to reveal her features she raised her voice just enough to reach the the tiefling’s ear. “M’Lady, might I suggest that you and your cause would be better served by if sat at a table and didn’t compose your plans before all and sundry. Can I offer you and your new friends a glass of this passably sweet red and a place to sit?"

GM, how do you feel about the occult classes?
I know you don't need an answer anymore, but for anyone else, I have no problem with the occult classes. I don't have a lot of experience with them yet, and have no idea how 90% of the new abilities and spells work, but the concept of them is cool and I'd welcome an occult class.
Rosa, warning noted. :)
Updated list of applicants:
Rosa Luminass, tiefling cleric (Johnny_Panic)
Tavitha, caligni bloodrager (Zaboom!)
Breezelee Krolmnite, catfolk rogue (Gerald)
Aevelyn BlackHair, human sorcerer (Eric Swanson)
Soralia Sinclaire, aasimar warpriest (FedoraFerret)
Melisanya, drow bard (Jedoric)
Nysene Ratarion, oread cavalier (Lady Ladile)
Shiloh, changeling summoner (Deaths Adorable Apprentice)
Balewyn, human slayer (Profession Smith 6 ranks)
Cherry, ifrit inquisitor (baticeer)
(Though as noted before, race and class can be changed after selection and I'm picking players, not characters.)

Rosa_Luminass |

Rosa stopped, motionless, as if frozen, held there, then she moved, picking up her glass walking past her old seat, reached out and gripped a long black blade. As he did for a moment it made a moaning sound. Then stopped, She held it up to her back and a device there locked it into place. So its handle jutted up over her head and the Holy symbol of the Hell's could be seen. She looks over at Baticeer
"Come sister of fire, we have a welcome at a table"
Then seeing a bench, Rosa sits with Melisanya and the others to talk over thire plans.

Melisanya |

Melisanya motioned to the waitress to bring another round of drinks to the table. Reaching behind her she restored her hood, waited until the others had taken their seats before responding to Shiloh's question.
She set down her wine glass and as was the custom of her people, she displayed her hands, devoid of any obvious threat. "Welcome, my name is Melisanya. I am a stranger to you fine city but from what I've heard, your cause is just and I feel compelled to offer you what little aid I may. I know next to nothing of this "Glorious Reformation" but I do know quite a bit of treason and rebellion."
"First I would warn you that you will always be outnumbered. For every traitor that carries a sword there are a dozen who either share his ideals or at least has sympathy for them. The harder you seek those, the greater their numbers grow."
"I point this out neither to dissuade you nor to put you in conflict with the Inquisition but rather so you are aware that your foes may have allies near. Not allies who will come at you directly but rather those who will watch and listen, whispering in the dark."
Her voice softens as she leans forward. "It is the righteous cause that must show the greatest discretion for the shadows are the home of our foes."

Lucy Arroway |

Soralia takes a seat as well, leaning her chair back almost to the point of falling over. "Sounds like a lotta fancy talk an' panderin'. I say, root out all the traitorss and put 'em to the pyre. Or light their building up if that's more convenient, or more fun for that matter. Show 'em the kinda response that should come outta poor choices."

Profession Smith 6 ranks |

(Balewyn the Black, masked human slayer)
By the time the server returned with her drinks, Balewyn had her payment ready. The coins sat in the palm of her gloved right hand, daring the wench to take them. To make things interesting, Balewyn curled her fingers slightly upward, as though intending to seize the wrist of the server when she reached for the coins. The trepidation in the server’s face and the trembling in her hands as she slowly, fearfully reached for the coins amused Balewyn; when the girl snatched the coins from her palm she merely said, ”Thank you.”
The small black item she’d procured earlier proved to be a straw. One end dipped into her drink; the other she slipped through a narrow gash in the tight black leather mask that covered her face with the exception of the mouth slot, openings for her unblinking eyes, a gap beneath the bridge of her nose, and, if her hood had been lowered to reveal them, holes over her ruined ears. The woman considered lowering the hood so that she could better hear the conversations going on around her, but it didn’t seem necessary just yet.
A towering tiefling was bellowing about what she would do to traitors to the realm when she got her claws on them. All the subtlety of a barbazu, Balewyn thought, dismissively at first. Still, the towering fiend-blood had caught the eyes and ears of a handful of patrons. A sickeningly attractive drow invited the giantess and her growing entourage to join her at her table for some slightly more discreet conversation. This one seemed more brain than brawn, but her comment that the darkness hid allies of the Light nearly made Balewyn chuckle aloud, coming as it did from a Darklands denizen.
Glorious Reformation? Rebels and treason? Balewyn continued to sip her drink, keeping her eyes and ears open for more information.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

And concerning the creepy evil in this campaign. I realized that a game like this would have mention of people doing bad stuff and I am ok with that. I assume it will get descriptive with how we kill/torture/sacrifice someone or something. My only hard line is descriptive rape. It can be alluded to sure, talk about in hindsight, gotten over, but written about in first person in graphic detail is not my thing. Shiloh wanted to become a Hag and has a vast hatred for the Inheritor. So she can get behind the crazy evil idea :D
Pleased to be seated now and mentally cursing the current frailness of her body. Taking another sip of her whiskey and feeling that glorious heat roll though her. Smiling at the glass of red she was promised then the conversation starts back up. All thoughts of a pleasant nights sleep vanish like smoke. The smile is replaced by a twisted scowl. Vile creatures.
Not bothering to lift her gaze from her drinks but she adds her voice to the conversation. Yes that sounds wonderful. Really it does but rooting out traitors takes time and skill. It would be unfortunate to purge the world of those who do not deserve the pyre.

Rosa_Luminass |

Rosa had said nothing more, she sat still as expressionless as always. Hearing out what the others said. Looking strait she noted the new comers. They seemed keen, wanting to get to this fight for thire own reasons. She did not care as long as they could act as a functional unit. War was no place for stand-alone's or mad hero's. The ones who where able to act together lived. Tactical units with each having a needed skill of gift. The ones sitting off looking in at the group would be hard to get acting with the group. The ones who came and sat. They where willing to band and bond. To be with others who shared a common goal. It was why she had taken up the Drows offer, and she was no fool.
Rosa had been around, she was a lot older than she looked and it did not take her long to spot wisdom and brains in others. Things needed in a fight like this, just as much a strong arms and magic. We shall see,
Then Rosa's voice came.
"There is a place for "the subtlety of the hand" when seeking to cunningly entrap a foe. Shrewdness and perceptiveness are weapons to be employed, just as much as strength in arms and Magical power."
Moves and turns her head to Melisanya.
"You are right, I have hunted cults, if you blindly become the 'other' to them, cult followers bread. The idea form infects and finds new hosts, polluting even more minds. One must be selective in once actions. Pick subjects and objects to be removed that have the maximum effect on a cult. Violence and subtlety must both be directed with the procession of a precision of the surgeon's blade so that the infection is dealt with"
As she spoke next, she turned her head to look one by one at the lady's siting.
"To do that a group will be needed with a mixture of skills. That group must bond and work as a single unit. They must place aside thire own needs and wants and place the groups functionality and effectiveness first. Any one seeking to join such a group must be willing to lay down thire life for thire sisters as they would expect thire fellow sisters to do for them. A bond of Blood and love that no man or best could ever brake. A sisterhood of wraith"
Her words hung for a moment over the table.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

Is the unchained summoner an option. I just read though the Eidolon and the unchained version, while a little stronger at first glance, has much better flavor. I could have one that is basically a Devil.
Edit: Also the srd says the unchained spell list is different than the base class but I cannot find the spell list. Anyone know where I could find it?

Aevelyn BlackHair |

As the other ladies seemingly brush off her comments, Aevelyn resists the urge to utter a biting comment here.
These fools, they have no clue as to what they are dealing with! From the rumors I have heard, from sources close to House Thrune even...this is no loosely organized band of rebels. This is an ARMY, as dedicated to their cause of righteousness as we are to our own!
Aevelyn watches the tall tiefling take control of the conversation with an elegance that surprised her. She is indeed a formidable one...a useful tool to be sure. Sliding into an open seat at the table, she clears her throat.
"Forgive the interruption. I am Lady Aevelyn Thassan of the HOUSE Thassan." The emphasis on the word 'house' noticeable to all. "Madame Rosa speaks words of wisdom, truly. I have heard...stories of this 'Glorious Reclamation' and rest assured this no band of rebels, easily driven off, or traitors, where putting their heads to the sword will quell them. No....these are fanatical warriors who seek the return of the times when Aroden roamed the heavens!" Her voice rising at the end of her speech betraying a glimmer of fear at the prospect.

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

Glancing over at the new arrival at the table, Aroden is dead and not likely to come back Lady Thassan.
Forgoing the whiskey to try the red, which has much less of a burn. I was under the impression that these people were followers of the Inheritor. Her devotees, as I understand them, is to purge the world of all that they see as evil. The last word is uttered with malice.
Races that are different than their mortal form. Their Goddess was a human mortal once and humans are supreme. just a touch of bitterness takes over, Their laws and their ways are the only way in their minds. And everyone must be brought to heel.
Swirling the red liquid around in its glass as she continues. They have their swords in every little thing that they think is a problem. Their armies are in the North. I have heard that they have taken issue with Geb. Not to mention they have their own little nation at this point. And the Hoards apparently cannot keep them distracted. Their little soldiers wonder the road doing their Goddess's work. And it seems that they have decided that their is work to be done here.
Glancing over at the Tiefling then back at her drink, A small group would be easier to move undetected this is true and has a valid tactics to it. Information gathering and assassinations work this way to my understanding of them. But the Iomedaeans have power because not only do they have their little groups that work well together but they have armies to keep the focus off of those little groups.

baticeer |

I went ahead and started to set up an alias for this character, but I'll continue to post under my main account in this thread so as to make it easier if I have to change or delete the profile later.
The beautiful drow's appearance intrigues Cherry. So that's a drow. I'd never seen one before... she sure has a way with words. Wonder if she has the steel to back it up.
"Now, I don't see the problem with talking openly of putting down rebels," Cherry says. "Since no one's going into specifics about tactics, the only risk would be if someone here in this tavern is some kinda powerful rebel spy, here planning to take us all out... and I don't think anyone here's that foolish, eh?" With the last statement, she angles her body out away from the table and raises her voice slightly, looking around at the taverns' other patrons with a smirk and a challenging eye. A few people at the adjacent tables look a little bit intimidated.
"Now, sister Rosa... that's a pretty speech you've given and it fills me with the sparks of vengeance, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Perhaps we take up this lovely lady's," she indicates Melisanya, "offer and talk more of strategies later."
She turns to the newly arrived Aevelyn and gives a respectful dip of her head, leaning forward and gesturing in a way that looks like it'd be a curtsy if she was standing up (or wearing skirts). "Well, Milady Thassan, it's good to know they're dedicated. We wouldn't want to underestimate our opponents. But you say they're not just any rebels -- well, the arm of Cheliax and of Asmodeus is not just any law-keeping force. I'll match their so-called fanatics any day."
edit: oops got beaten to it. I'll respond to Shiloh in another post in a moment

![]() |

Both chained and unchained summoner are options. For the unchained summoner spell list, it's on the Unchained Summoner PRD first thing after Class Features.

baticeer |

Cherry leans in towards the harried-looking girl-- what did she say her name was? Oh, yes... "Shiloh?" she asks in a slightly softer voice. "You say these Iomedeans have something against non-humans, well, there's plenty of people in here who have an obvious problem with that, myself included. But aren't you human yourself? You just sympathetic to us blood-tainted folk? Or have I mistaken your look?"
Shiloh, I assume as a changeling you look human, yeah? -- if not, well, Cherry is not super smart and might have just missed any signs to the contrary

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

Changlings have pale skin and eyes that are different colors but they look human. So it is easy to assume. But she is not going to be quick to explain that she is the child of a Hag. Basically everyone hates those things.
Glancing over at the obviously fire touched woman, I do not think of it as a taint on the blood but an enhancement. No one should be condemned to death for their lineage.

Rosa_Luminass |

A small boy slave comes over and hands Rosa a note. She unrolls it and reads. Then places it in her clothing.
"I am sorry, I have been summoned, please I wish you carry on this task of forming a group of sisters to aid the fight. But I have been ordered to another task. I bid you good day"
And with that she follows the small boy out the inn.
I am sorry but real life commitments means I am going to have to withdraw from this. I wish everyone the best and have fun. GM Panic

Deaths Adorable Apprentice |

So I was looking at the campaign traits and only one really calls to me. The Chelish Noble one. I would like to go with the more classic version a changling child. She was swapped out with their actual child. Not sure if I want them to have know at any point yet.
To my knowledge Iomedae is still worshiped in Cheliax. The wiki mentions it. So that is how that group was sent. Her parents would have looked for someone like that hoping that they were noble and honorable.

Nysene Ratarion |
Oof, sorry for lagging behind; have had a busy last two days with work and an out of town party!
Although Nysene had observed and listened to the goings-on with marked interest she had largely remained silent as she chewed things over in her mind, slowly and methodically as was her way. She could appreciate the tiefling woman's fire and dedication to their country but there had been something about her manner that unnerved her as well.
A killer, that one. Takes pleasure in it; you can tell by the look in her eyes. Most of these others don't seem that way though.
Nysene certainly wasn't one to shy away from violence when the situation called for it, but it had always made more sense to her to save it as a last resort. It had been her experience that most people could be persuaded to change their ways and go on to make a positive contribution to society.
And in that case, everyone wins. But the dead aren't useful to anyone.
Having finally heard enough, Nysene rises and moves to take a seat at the table with the others. "This one," she nods at the dark-skinned woman (Melisanya), "has the right of it, I think. Talking openly about such plans is unwise. As well as reckless without the right information."

![]() |

I think I am only going to allow one Chelish Noble campaign trait itself. There are so many campaign traits that I don't think duplication is warranted. However, I don't place a similar restriction on the Noble Scion feat, so one can still be nobility without having the actual campaign trait. (Although I would encourage not having a party of six nobles for variety's sake, but I think two would still be okay.)
Iomedae has significant worship in Cheliax for at least two major reasons: she was a Chelaxian in life and she was close to Aroden who was huge in Cheliax.
Melisanya, I'm tentatively not eager to go with another campaign's trait -- the whole point is that campaign traits are campaign-specific. Having said that I'm not all that wild about the HV campaign traits myself. I'm more inclined to make a new custom HV trait if we can't get where we want by tweaking one of the existing ones. However, this is the level of mechanical detail that can be hashed out after the application process if accepted.
