Well, he failed.

The orcs stand up, knowing they've been discovered.

Meg's vast intelligence allows her to quickly calculate the exact spot the orc will be, and shoots a Web Bolt. The Web Bolt hits the orc square in his face, and quickly expands to cover his body. He is entangled.

Very entangled.

I'm going to give him a small penalty to escaping the spell due to his natural one!

The entangled orc struggles against Meg's spell, and with a bit of effort, tears the webbing apart in a show of brute strength. As the orc becomes visible, it is obvious he is furious, and looks Meg square in the eye.

Orc CMB Check to Escape: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

The other orc, understanding that their cover is blown, stands up, and runs around the cart. He gets around the edge of the cart, and has a large, wicked-looking axe in his hand.

He is now about 20 feet from the party. The other orc is still 40 feet away. Your turn folks!

Sunny tumbles off her horse and rolls across towards the Orc with the large axe.

Is it possible for her to draw her sword in the same action? Is it quicker if she tumbles under the wagon?

She stands in front of the fellow with a smile.

"Hey-YA there!" She calls again in greeting. (^_^)

Shifting to a 'Fully defensive' stance so another +2 to her AC.


Yes, you may draw your sword as part of a movement, so that isn't going to take an action. If you spend a standard to use the Total Defense action, it's actually +4 to your AC!

Round 2
================
As the orc approaches, he is surprised by Sunny, and her similar disposition. He pauses for a second, just long enough for Daven's spell to go off. As the ground beneath his feet starts to turn slick, he gives Sunny a confused look, somewhere between a smile and a glare...and then he falls flat on his back.

He stands, slowly, and tries to advance past Sunny, toward the source of the spell.

Acrobatics Check: 1d20 ⇒ 19

He quickly grasps the trick to moving through the grease, and gets about twenty feet toward Daven, putting him adjacent to Sunny.

The second orc, freed from Meg's spell, runs toward Sunny. As he closes the gap between them, he hefts his axe with a mighty roar!

The 1st orc is next to Sunny, and fifteen feet from Daven. The second is right in front of Sunny, having double moved to get up to her. He couldn't charge though, lucky for you!

Meg's arrow sticks in the orc's left arm, and he howls in pain.

One of the Orcs runs at Daven, as the young man's spell completes. He pulls Meg's arrow out of his arm as he runs, and he takes a mighty swing at Daven's head. The axe whizzes by, leaving Daven unharmed.

The second orc, victim of Daven's spell, drops his axe, and wades toward Sunny, trying to grab her.

Sunny, since you are armed, this grapple check will provoke an attack of opportunity from you.

He hands grab Sunny around the throat...and promptly slip right off. The grease strikes again!

In summary, one orc is in melee with Daven, and fairly close to Meg. The other is unarmed in front of Sunny.

Meg's shot hits the orc square in the face, piercing through his left check, and coming out the other side. He looks severely injured, and quite angry. He raises his axe, and swings it down hard, as if trying to cleave Daven in two. He hits Daven with a mighty blow. The young man crumples to the ground. As Daven falls, the orc turns toward Meg, and by that very act of turning, causes the massive wolf to fly right past him.

Melee Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Melee Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

Daven, you are unconscious, please make a stability roll.

Meanwhile, the other orc is trying in vain to engage Sunny, and failing miserably. Ray's rock flies past him, and Sunny missed him with her attack as well. He tries again for a grab, and finally gets his hands on her. One hand in her hair, one reaching around her neck.

Grapple Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Sunny, you are grappled, but once again, he provokes an Attack of Opportunity.

Hearing the command, Lobo Gris darts away from the ord he'd been attack* and launches himself at the one holding Suny so... rudely.

Meg runs to Daven, and lays her hand upon him. His eyes flutter open, and he blinks rapidly.

While Sunny has her orc distracted by pummeling him with her elbow, Ray hits him with his sling stone. It clocks the orc right in his ear, and then Lobo tears a large chunk of meat out of the orc's left arm.

the orc releases Sunny, and tries to grab Lobo, perceiving him the greater threat. He can't get his hands around the wolf's throat, as his fingers slip through the fur.

Grapple Check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

This provokes an Attack of Opportunity from Lobo.

Meanwhile, the armed orc moves to Meg, and swings at her. The axe catches her on her left arm, and cuts deeply. Meg drops, and the injured orc roars as loud as he can.

Melee Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

Meg, now you are unconscious. Please roll to Stabilize. Daven, you are conscious, but if you take more than a move action, you will fall unconscious at the end of your turn if you aren't healed.

Seeing Meg get hit, hurt and fall Sunny creis out,

"Nooooo!" And runs to her aid.

Perhaps the DM can roll the dice I need to try a heal check to help stabilize poor Meg? Also, is Mr Fuzzy being interference between Sunny and Mr Graspy Orc?

Untrained Heal Check from Daven: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Daven, as you were already next to Meg to make a heal check, I rolled it for you. Meg, you are stabilized. Daven, I won't charge you the one HP for that standard action, as combat is about over. Look what happened to the other orc!

The orc grappling Sunny tries for a chokehold, and as he gets Sunny in a solid grab, Lobo bites deep into the orc's throat. Blood gushing everywhere, he falls to the ground.

The other orc, still bleeding from wounds of his own, runs away from Meg and Daven's limp forms. He charges at Lobo, and swings his axe as hard as his can. His swing goes wide, and he looks confused at the wolf's agility.

Melee Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

One orc down, one injured. Almost there guys!

Wiping the arterial spray from her face Sunny sees the orc standing threateningly over Mr Fluff,

"NO! Bad!" And she simply steps in to clobber the guy.

I feel like we need an initiative order at the end of posts or something.

"Take him down, Lobo!" Ray calls out as he loads his sling and tries to strike the Orc attacking his friend. It sails far over the Orc's head though.

Despite his human's lack of reliable aim, Lobo lunges for the orc's leg, trying to gain a good grip before biting down savagely.

The orc buckles under the strain of the wolf's teeth, and collapses to the ground. Both orcs are unconscious, and bleeding out.

He points back the way you came.

"I don't think I'm much help, but I greatly appreciate the assistance! I would be glad to help wheel your companion back to town, if you can load her on my cart."

Sorry for the delay, been nuts at work, been sick, and got into a car accident yesterday. Back now!

The party backtracks to the previous city, and quickly locate the town cleric. The cleric, a nice young woman, gives Meg a Cure Light Wounds, and Channels Positive Energy for the whole group.

Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Channel Positive Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 1

She politely requests a donation to her temple, and bids you all farewell.

Everyone gets 1 HP back, and Meg an extra 6, 7 total.
