"That's why you gotta throw dirt on them right when they disappear. Get something stuck to 'em."
Umbriak |
"Aye, defences sorted! Now finish him off! HADOKEN!"
Farod Shamar |
Farod smiled at the gesture, tipping his head in return, then moved to close distance with the student again, sending out a set of magic missiles of his own.
Magic Missile: 3d4 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) + 6 = 13
Tchakar |
"Wow, way more sparks flying than I expected, at least from Farod. No offense Farod!"
GM Rednal |
Farod's magical missiles shot into the student - and knocked him out cold. With the aura over the field, he'd wake up soon, but he clearly wasn't as good at taking hits as his level of arcane skill suggested. ...Which, honestly, hadn't been that high to begin with. Still, you got quite a few cheers as the magical aura dissipated.
Umbriak |
"Whoo!" Umbriak trundled over and smacked Farod on the back. "Congratulations on ye victory."
Farod Shamar |
Farod stayed on high alert for a little longer, with his first attack countered, it seemed this was the first assault to actually make contact with the student.
And he very much expected the boy to be more sturdy than that.
Oh, not complaining, but with CL 5 that's less than 3 HP per HD, so expecting some trickery should be fine.
Only when the magical aura dissipated did he allow himself to relax - rushing over to his opponent and making sure he was fine. After thankfully acknowledging Umbriaks congratulations, he decided to fasten the students recovery...there was hardly a reason to expect they would need all their resources at their disposal right today, or Farod would not even have agreed to the match, after all.
Lay on hands: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9
"Good match, lad!"
Tchakar |
"That was certainly more of a spectacle that I expected. Well done, both of you. If you keep at it, I'm sure you'll be flinging about all sorts of powerful magic at the Ragesians."
