Glad to have you back alive and kicking

Svalk Arnbjorn |

... wow, it is Thursday isn't it... wicked. Time goes by strangely sometimes. Anyway, glad to hear it. As for a question, is there anything special about the man who tapped me on the shoulder or is he just a randome resident?

Svalk Arnbjorn |

hm... maybe it does, maybe it doesn't... last I checked Underland was somewhere near the realm of the Dark Fey... what would they be doing at a Sandpoint festival?
Shakes head
Ah well, have heard of weirder things. And pretty sure that I did turn to face him, though not sure if he is facing me or not. ;)

Svalk Arnbjorn |

I won't however for the next few days. Apartment complex had a fire that took out three buildings today, so we're without cable.
Ouch, sorry to hear that. I hope that you are only out cable!

Svalk Arnbjorn |

@ Vladlena: Well, that is always fun... figuring out where that one thing that you really need right now is in the sea of boxes, bags and misplaced furniture can always be a hastle. So, good luck ;)

Satinder Coric |

So cable is back lol. Yea, turned out that we lost 4 buildings, 80 people were affected (being helped by the Red Cross as well), and no serious bodily injuries to both human and animal residents. On top of that, due to the wind, it also started several smaller brush fires as well. One of those, had it not been contained, could've taken down our building as well, considering we're literally across the street from the buildings that were destroyed.

Satinder Coric |

Not trying to sound like a rude prick here cause I know this is going to come off that way (stupid internets lacking vocal tones lol), but I'm startin to wonder here Runes. I's been about two weeks since you've made a gameplay post, and the only reason the 4 who are still active in there are active is because they all have some sort of past history that they're trying to piece together in one way or another. No issues with it, I find it fun to read, but you've got two of us that are kind of waiting on you. Skyla has someone talking to her, and Satinder is waiting for something to happen, or your description of what's going on before I have him do something. Anyways, back to point, you haven't posted in game for almost two weeks, but you've posted consistently in here that you'll post tonight, you'll post tonight, expect a post today, it'll be up tomorrow first thing. And yet it's not there. In no way am I trying to say that you can't run a game here lol, and that's not my intent. What I'm wanting to know is are you going to be able to run *this* game with all of what you have going on? I definitely understand that this isn't the impression you want to make and I don't blame you, but if it weren't for the fact I'm out of my own house for close to 12 hours a day, I honestly wouldn't see it that way. I would honestly rather be told that you're not going to be able to run *this* game instead of seeing every other day I'll post today, I'll post today, expect a post today and never seeing a thing.

I share the concerns and hope very much to have a steady posting GM if it is possible. Even if they are smaller posts or less detailed. It keeps the pace going.

Svalk Arnbjorn |

Well, since we are having this discussion (for the record, I hate this topic... it always seems more destructive than constructive, even when handled right) I will throw my two cents into the ring.
Cent 1: I completely understand that things have been slow, and that it is frustrating. The feeling is shared by me as well. After all, I really want to play this one. And logging in to seeing no/few new posts in gameplay is... saddening actually. I am trying to keep things somewhat going with Tal and Lena... and if Satinder or Skyla or Arthur wanted to say hello I wouldn't bat an eye. But even I can only do so much. So I can understand entirely where Satinder and Tal are coming from.
Cent 2: So, with cent 1 in mind, I am just going to say that I am patient. I am in a good group, with interesting characters written and controlled by fun people, and being GMed by a immersive GM. Yes, the delay between gameplay posts has been long, but the quality of those posts has been supurb. And I can understand personal life getting in the way of playing. I agree it can be a tad disheartening to have posts here instead of over there, but it does let me know that we aren't abandoned entirely.
So... Svalk will be staying here, waiting for Silver to be ready to play. I hope that Tal, Sal and everyone else will be there too on that day.
In the meantime: breaks into dance Back to the Tapdancing Viking!

Svalk Arnbjorn |

@ Lena: Fair enough, but think you are up on the posting order... at least for our conversation ;)
@ Skyla: Strange as it sounds to say, I appreciate that. Not sure why, but it means something to me.

Satinder Coric |

Well as much as I hate to say this, but I think I'm just end up having to pull out of this one. I'm doing my absolute best to be understanding here, but I don't think I can hold out much longer. We're at over 2 weeks without a post, and almost a week since I brought up the topic, and still nothing. It's a shame because I really wanted to play this character, but the way I'm seeing it, I'm obviously not going to be able to play him cause this is his 3rd attempt at a game that just didn't start.

Svalk Arnbjorn |

Not quite... been about a week and a half since his last post, and only half a week since this topic reared its ugly head (trust me, I count.. it was Wed, today is Saturday... so about half, give or take).
If you really want to pull out Satinder nothing any of us here can say will stop you, but I would say to be patient at least a bit longer. Give the man until Monday to reply. I mean, unless you have a game lined up for Satinder to get into you really have nothing to lose by wating an additional two days. That's my thought anyway.
If you are pulling the eject cord though, be well and good luck. No hard feelings from me at least. I will continue to wait.

Satinder Coric |

My bad, I read the 10th on my screen by accident, which would be over two weeks lol. Either way, I brought this topic was brought up pretty early on in the week, and even then, he hasn't responded. Even for his Thursday reminder that he has a game in real life that he plays, he didn't post this week. Sorry if you think I'm an ahole for thinking this, but I've got the strong impression that he's not going to be able to run our game. Unless he plans on making this a once a month on whatever random day I'll post type deal, then I don't see this going anywhere. Pulling from the recruitment thread,
-Must post at least once a day, barring unforeseeable events. I will not worry if you miss a day or so, but if you miss 3 days or more, I will contact you via PM. If you miss 2 consecutive days in a combat situation, I would like to know if you are amenable to a temporary GMPC'ing of your character's actions. I will not consider dropping you though, unless you miss several consecutive weeks without a word, because I definitely understand that life can throw curveballs at people.
As a GM myself, I take statements like that as something I have to do my best to hold up, even if it's something very small. You can ask my players and look at my game and exactly what I'm talking about. You'll see throughout the discussion thread plenty of times where I tell them that I'm busy, but I'll post something. And when I post it, it's pretty small. It's no where near descriptive to all depths of matter, but it's a line or two to keep things moving. And if something major happens, I let them know as it does. But I don't say that I'll post tomorrow for damn near a week straight, with absolutely nothing to show about it. Like I said, call me whatever insult you want to feel about me for saying this, but this is my opinion as a GM who also runs a few games despite my busy schedule. And my opinion is that this game isn't going to go anywhere because the GM doesn't have the time or schedule to properly run this game for us. So unless he has something completely earth shattering for us to know, then that's my opinion.

For all we know he had a major incident. From his posting history and aliases, he hasn't been posting for any of his characters or aliases. I'm still hoping for this to pick up since we had such a blast designing the characters and everything up to now.
If it really is impossible for our gm to continue we could check if we can get a replacement GM.

GM Lord of Runes |

I'm back everyone!
This is a general announcement for everyone in one of my campaigns or recruitment.
The screen on my phone was shattered, which has prevented me from posting in the past like week because I have not been able to scroll down a webpage with a cracked screen. I took a picture of my phone with a friends phone, so if anyone is interested in me verifying that it was a real problem, I can post it and provide a link. I know it's not necessary, but I don't like just telling people that there is a problem without offering some sort of proof. I feel it helps you all to trust that I tell the truth, since some people are compulsive GM-slackers.
I SHOULD be good on posting until around September 2nd, when I go to the endocrinologist for my appointment. Obviously on Thursdays I will not be posting, but that had already been mentioned.
I will be working through my discussions and recruitments todays, so I will not be posting until tomorrow.
ROTRL PEOPLE! I completely understand your concerns. I myself have been frustrated with the recent circumstances, so please bear with me. As stated above, I can provide photographic evidence of my phone's cracked screen and, with a smart phone, a badly cracked screen means no scrolling which makes posting quite impossible since I have no internet apart from my phone internet at the moment.

Svalk Arnbjorn |

I agree with Skyla and echo her sentiments. Personally, I am just glad that it is only your phone/internet and not something worse (like you were in a coma or abducted by kidnappers or something). I hope that you are able to post soon.

![]() |

Echo'd. Glad to have you back. Hope we can get this show on the road soon.
sure it's september and not august?

Satinder Coric |

Well I'm certainly glad to hear that you're still doing good, and hopefully that appointment ends up being a good appointment. I take it that you've obviously seen what I have said and voiced with my concerns, so all I can really do is let you take that as what you will take of and from it lol.

Svalk Arnbjorn |

Nope... think most of us are waiting on Prince to hit the counter points to our posts... I PMed a friend of his to find out if anything new was hitting him, given he seems to have fallen off the face of Paizo.com since his posts then... no response yet, but this was only a few minutes ago.

![]() |

Any word yet? I'm starting to lose hope :(.

Svalk Arnbjorn |

OK, Red Velvet Tiger got back to me today. She says that Rune's blood sugar has been rather sporadic of late, hence the no posting. She has been given authority by him to co-GM some of his other campaigns to keep things running when he is unable to post and wanted to know if we would accept this as an option. I told her that:
1) I would ask y'all and that she should post here with the same offer.
2) I would be ok with it as long as TSP was ok with it.
3) I would insist that he still be the prime GM, taking back the reigns whenever possible (I happen to like his style, and this is his campaign after all).
She hopefully will post here soon confirming both that she is willing to co-GM this and that TSP is on board with it as well.
Does anyone have any concerns, objections, questions, etc. for her about this?

![]() |

In favor. Its important to keep the game going. I do like his style but we need to keep it going along when he's having trouble. Wish him all the best.
