The big man's words shake the hall and frighten the thralls half to death. The seated warriors however look to one another, some smirking others either looking impressed at the size of Stein's pair or just drunk enough to not care - Stein doesn't sign their checks, Asvig does. A few seconds later the opposite end of the hall sparkles to life.
Stunned might be one word to describe Asvig's reaction to Draeven's challenge, however the oracle's enchantments prevent the chieftain from responding. Amidst the sphere of sparkling lights, several of Asvig's men and the man himself stop what they are doing, held captive by the display. Helva is not fooled though shouting, Traitor! Kill them all! and the room bursts into life. Bjarke steps to protect his chief, grabbing the man by the arm and shaking. Thralls scatter, making for anywhere they can as tankards and tables spill to the ground. Behind Draeven, two warriors draw their battle axes as they move to stop him (G15 to H14,F15 to G12 MA + SA) their swings coming within inches of the big man's form.

Opposite Rennyn and Fenra, three warriors spring into action (B11,B12,B8 MA to E9,E10,E8 | Readied Action Triggered, Rennyn Init:9) and Rennyn's katana flashes cutting into the arm of one of them. The warriors raise their battle axes swinging for heads; two swing wide however the third warrior's strikes close enough to home, forcing Fenra into a difficult position (Straining an ankle?).

Elsewhere in the hall, the other warriors stir. Their reactions dulled by ale they fumble with their weapons and fight with their chairs.

Fenra moved 4 squares closer (to F,5) to Asvig and cast color spray not hypnotic pattern. This only catches the guy that was in F,2 and the guy in H,4. If she wants to move 5 squares instead she can catch F,1 as well without provoking AoO. I don't see a good way to target Asvig with a 15' cone. (If she does retcon to 5 squares, then Jeryn will move the web back 1 intersection to miss her.

If I had been aware of your ruling on intimidate, I wouldn't have attempted it. As such please retcon Draeven's SA to readied action to attack the first foe that approaches instead.

Is Asvig not in H3? Why would colour spray not hit him? Looking at the cone patterns it should hit G2, H2, G3, H3, G1. So it would only hit the three people in H3, H2, G2. Yes I would move to F4 as that is what is needed. There were no coordinates on the map before so I wasn't being precise enough. Also as it's colour spray, unless they have HD of at least 8 before the -5 they will be unconscious for 2d4 rounds, no shaking them out of it.

Sorry about the grid thing, no one mentioned earlier so my sloppiness remained. Intimidating an entire room with one roll is broken and am surprised you didn't see this as a problem. I won't be retconing this but will use Draeven's roll for Round 4. Both Color Spray and Hypnotic Pattern use colors as an effect, as I was fooled by your codes I will let Fenra cast Hypnotic Pattern in place of Hold Person - HP seems to work out better anyways, doesn't it? Adjusted Fenra's and Kenan's positions and moved warriors to fit actions.

Making a dramatic appearance, Jeryn rolls through the door (yes, the rolling helps) finishing in superb casting position. The wizard holds up a fragment of spider web and speaks arcane words through the strands. Seconds later a large web fills the end of the hall trapping nearly everyone inside (Green Halos | Fenra please make a reflex save DC17), only the red haired woman and one of the warriors at her side seems to be unhindered.

Draeven's sword arcs a bloody response to the warriors daring to attack him, dropping one instantly. Seeing there is truth to the big man's threats, the second warrior's eyes widen with fear, or is that cowardness?

Within the webbing, the tall blonde haired Asvig is completely incapacitated however coming around, shaking off the affects of Fenra's spell. Beside him, the woman begins the esoteric gestures of a spell (Kenan Readied Action triggered). Kenan's arrow is loosed finding a gap in the web of defenses set up against such a thing. The red haired witch finishes her spell and points her finger towards 'Stein'. The big man feels an immense weight settle upon him (Draeven Will Save DC15 please or succombe to sleep).

For what good reason would you deny my retcon?

Fenra cast color spray. I'm not sure what hold person has to do with this. She moved up to cast color spray. If you are forcefully retconning her actions to hypnotic pattern, why move her forward? She doesn't need move closer to cast that. She definitely doesn't' need to move 5 squares. Either way I already accounted for both of Fenra's possible forward positions in Jeryn's web casting. She does not end up in the web. No save required.

If Draeven's retcon is not allowed then there was a warrior in place to AoO Jeryn as he entered the room.

Helva took 11 damage, and her AC is 17 with mage armor active.

Slumber hex has a range of 30'. Draeven is out of range. Sleep is a 1 round casting, and, she failed her concentration check already then.

Jeryn tumbles in avoiding the dead man's AoO. The warrior next to Draeven explodes in blood. Colors fill the eyes of those standing in front of the curtain and fall down unconscious. The warriors seated at the tables spring forth, one of them managing to avoid entangling himself in his own chair and threatens Fenra as two more warriors appear from a storage room to the north (H4, B13, C15 retcon 3rd round action: MAs+SA)| Uther will direct his actions towards cutting himself free.)

The monk's bow hums and Fenra takes a step away from her attackers. As one of those threatening the oracle succumbs to his wounds, she begins her conjuration provoking a violent response. Axe blades swing from behind and in front of her yet none do more than threaten the air around her.

Coat of Many Stars (Ex) is an extraordinary ability and therefore does not provoke AoO when used. Those rolls can be for their turn.

What is this "web ruling"? Is it a house rule you are adding? If so, it is poor form to do so in the middle of combat without warning players beforehand that you are changing how a spell works.

As usual my grasp of the rules is laughable. As a result I failed my Fort save on Friday, took 1d6 of Con damage and am just getting back on my feet.
Rennyn's Katana does 1d8+6 damage. Double damage on criticals should be 2d8+12, shouldn't it?

Those who are able join the fray. Two warriors stumble around their table turning their weapons upon Kenan with little to show for their efforts. From the north door, a pair cross the room to threaten Draeven and Jeryn, each pressing upon the wizard and heavy weight in grave fashion. Draeven has DR/2 so only 5 points of strain.

Typically you don't get to "cut corners" when moving around solid objects (ie walls and tables). For example from B4 to C5. You would need to move B4 to B5 and then C5. Also, if they are moving over/through furniture (tables and/or squares with chairs in them) it should likely count as difficult terrain, reducing how far they can get in one round and still attack.

She then steps between the tables G6. Assume this is not cutting a corner as there is someone in the adjacent square apparently not? standing on the table and lets a cascade of colour wash over the men in front of her.

If you’re unarmed, you don’t normally threaten any squares and thus can’t make attacks of opportunity. And attacking unarmed provokes AoO, something Fenra probably doesn't want to do. Too bad, as you could have used that 20 on your concentration check. :P

Besides, you should probably wait for Chris to adjust things (which is what I am waiting for) and for Jeryn, Draeven and Kenan to go. Things might change drastically before we get to your turn.

Another warrior spontaneously explodes in front of Draeven. Kenan's arrows puncture another warrior's chest spilling the Ulfen's blood and sending it seeping into the floor. With the wizard's last arcane word uttered a magical pit appears sending one of the warriors disappearing into its depths while another bounds away. Within the webbing, Bjarke manages to free himself of the sticky strands - what he will do next is anyone's guess.

Shifting his elven eyes away from the battle, Rennyn searches the layers of webbing for Asvig. The man is standing limply as marionette whose strings have gone limp and his eyes are closed. The aura is decidedly evil, but the elf's seen worse offenders.
Across the hall, the warrior having just successfully avoided the pit tries his luck again making to jump over the table and chairs. In doing so however he misjudges the tables height and comes crashing down into the chairs one the other side. His companion has better luck negotiating the course. Fenra's tactical retreat goes as planned, successfully avoiding any perils and blasting the two warriors with her colors. The two warriors drop. Without a close target, the warrior turns his attention to the paladin but his axe swing comes up just short of forcing the elf to move in his own defense.

Fenra waits for a foe to either slip past her comrades or for the woman to become a threat.

Delay until it looks like she will be attacked or Helva becomes conscious. Once Helva becomes conscious but is still blinded/stunned she will cast hold person on her. If it looks like an attacker is going to reach her it will be colour spray instead. Just so you know I am quite low on spells, only 1 second level and 2 first, because as far as I recall we came here straight from the last attack by the assassins and I used a hold person, cure moderate, and three cure lights then.

Rennyn and Draeven order the disarmed men to sit in a cluster in the middle of the room while gather up the dropped weapons and tossing them into the far end of the hall.

The thralls are allowed to sit at the tables along the side wall.

Jeryn and Kenan keep watch over everyone, bow in hand and spell components handy, ready to take on anyone who doesn't follow orders. They pay extra special attention to Asvig and Helva.

After securing those outside the web, Rennyn and Draeven move to secure those within it. They cut out and secure each man and woman, leaving Asvig and Helva for last.

Draeven's rough treatment does not help. Although defeated, the warriors are either too stubborn to talk, not ready to talk or too loyal to Asvig to saying anything that may jeopardize their solidarity.

Putting a calming hand on Draeven's shoulder Fenra speaks. I think they know nothing Draeven. Remember, the ones who attacked us committed suicide when captured. They were under a very strong, evil compulsion spell. I doubt these warriors know anything about what Asvig does under the witch's command or they would be enraged at his lack of regard for them and their brethren.

Fenra speaks with a with tone of sympathy and regret and the unnecessarily lost lives.

Be sure the witch is gagged and blindfolded as well as tightly tied. We don't want everyone here suddenly bashing their heads in on the tables and floor.

She turns to see if everyone is well in hand. If nobody wants to volunteer any information at this point...No matter, there are only so many places to keep someone at this farm. I will just look around.

Fenra goes to recover her morningstar from wherever it was stashed and searches the farm.

I don't know whether you want a bluff check. The story is more or less true. And holy cow! You used up some mighty nice rolls slapping some peons around :)
