He tosses a few cut corners of wood onto the sand and roughly sketches a map "Most recently, here, near the Jinx-blade Falls. But its hardly a single incident, they've also attacked here...here...and here. We don't go back to the same place, obviously...but they keep finding us, regardless...like they're hunting. Eh, you've killed a lot of monsters like this before?" he asks with doubt in his face.

Arven "The Shark's Friend" |

Arven looks at Salty after his comment, unsure what to make of it? He watches the lumberjacks nearby gauging their reaction. "Ummm...I don't think he meant it." the confused barbarian stutters.
"As for finding the dragons, seems they will find us if we stay with these lumberjacks. Why traipse through the living jungle, when we can wait for them to come here." he smiles, lying back arms behind his head and lets the steamy warmth comfort his body.
Do we have anyone good at survival, so we don't get lost ... if we have good skills then we can give it a go going after them, otherwise I think we stay here with lazy old Arven!! Arven survival +7

Lhinneth Silvertide |

"Some we killed, some we befriended" says Lhinneth pointing at Valaravans. "You know what they say, if you want to best the vicious beast, you must first become the vicious beast. I'd guess if they're territorial predators as it would seem, merely wandering around the logging zone should suffice to provoke them into attacking. What says you Valaravans? What would you do?"
Bluff: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22 to pass for an intrepid Monster Hunter... mostly for laughs

GM Infinity +1 |
A young lumberjack nearby pees his pants instantly at Salty's comment. Another notices and buckles "...the hell? Donald, he was just joking, get out of here!"
The man in charge rubs his forehead and tries to get back on topic "Alright, you want to follow a crew then? That's fine. Marty! Guards for the next excursion." he waves his hand in introduction.

Lhinneth Silvertide |

"See? We know how to find them, we know how to cook them. Now we only need to slay them" declares Lhinneth as she strides south, out of the thin strip civilization has managed to carve into this remote corner of Motaku Island and into the thick barrier of trees which rises right where the town ends, as if constantly threatening to engulf it.
"Make way, young Marty. Try not to get eaten too soon." She pats him on the back before laying her hand on the man's shoulder. "Just kiddin'. You won't – we'll make sure of that. As soon as they attack – run!"

Arven "The Shark's Friend" |

"Aye, if attacked run for cover, if if it means hiding behind me." the barbarian laughs. As they start out on their journey, Arven asks Serenna if she can give him some protection from his magic stick.
I guess this is asking Serenna to cast Mage Armor from his wand +4AC for an hour ... to be repeated every hour. Giving AC=21 ... to work Serenna has +7 on UMD for a DC=20
If Serenna fails twice, Arven dons the masterwork chainshirt to increase his AC by 3, but loose -1 as armour check penalty, giving AC=20.

GM Infinity +1 |
GM roll: 1d4 ⇒ 2
GM roll: 1d100 ⇒ 82
GM roll: 1d100 ⇒ 75
2 hours total pass before the following, please roll for the UMD as indicated
You escort the lightly packed team into the jungle and are able to follow a neat path for about an hour before you start to enter pure wilderness. Along the way you find signs of boar and some in the team are eager to hunt, but Marty shoots it down rather fast. Under the lush canopy, the greens take on a vibrant, almost glowing blue sheen. The flora become more and more unrecognizable and somehow hyper-primitive.
All make DC 13 reflex or small biting fire ants find their way into your boots

"Salty" Valaravans |

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Salty stomps on the ants, taking pleasure in hearing their bodies crack under his feet.
"I wonder what they taste like."
He takes a couple of minutes to prepare and extract of Heightened Awareness and another of Animal Aspect.
He also drinks his False Life extract.
Gains temporary hit points for 4 hours: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Arven "The Shark's Friend" |

Reflex save 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Arven starts to dance round the path, "Damn these things, my feet are on fire..." he looks down at the ants, but cann't seem to shake them off or skip round them, it is just his luck that as he dances around he just disturbs more.

Serenna, "Peggy" Crusilva |

As they make there way through the forest Serenna's headache slowly fades and, before long, she seems like she's back to her normal self, and she happily wanders through the lush foliage, springing over fallen logs and managing easily to avoid the occasional muddy patches that threaten to hold her peg leg fast. "Not sure I'd want to try that, although we did once have candied crickets in that bordello in the shackles. Not sure I'd have them again but they weren't too bad." she says, as she watches Arven begin leaping about. "The trick is to avoid stepping on their nests." She offers the advice with a grin. "I'm told the pissing on the sting helps. Or is that jellyfish? Maybe Salty'll help you out?"
Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

GM Infinity +1 |
One of the loggers stops and nudges his friend "Heh, hey Marty, look. One of the seafolk founds some ants." He points his finger directly at Arven and starts to laugh, but then stops suddenly as his entire body is struck by a massive ball of glowing green mucous that seems to have fallen from a great height. The flesh quickly dissolves leaving a gruesome bloody mess. The large jungle leaves quiver in the attack's wake as Marty scrambles for his axe. It only takes a moment to guess where it came from, your eyes soon spot the roaring approach of 3 man-sized dragons from the sky.
No mechanical consequence from the ants for this fight, but feel free to ham it up RP. I'll roll init for all and get a map up soon. DC 13 arcana to ID the dragon type

Arven "The Shark's Friend" |

Arven drops his bag, looking through to find something that might halt one of these things from attacking him and his lady friends. "Do not worry, I have something to help." He reaches in and finds another bag, this one strangely sticky in the inside when opened up. He gets himself ready, so that when the nearest creature flies by and attacks, he throws the bag at the creature, hoping to down it so he can fight it on equal terms.
Ranged touch attack with tanglefoot bag ... 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Serenna, "Peggy" Crusilva |

Serenna is diving for the bushes even before Lhinneth's shout. As she moves she grabs her new crossbow from her waist, bringing it up and firing at one of the creatures.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

"Salty" Valaravans |

I guess Arven attacks the Purple river drake.
Salty roars, and takes bomb from his bandana, throwing it to the Drake nearest Lhinneth (the red one).
Bomb Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22 (Ranged Touch attack, 20' range - penalty not taken into account)
Damage (+1d6 fire damage +Tanglefoot Bomb): 1d6 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 3 + (4) = 10 (DC 15 for half, 5 splash damage at 5')
Tanglefoot Bomb (Su) A creature that takes a direct hit from a tanglefoot bomb must save against the bomb's DC or be entangled and glued to the floor as if it had failed its save against a tanglefoot bag. Creatures in the splash area that fail their saves are entangled but not glued to the floor; those who make this save are not entangled at all.

GM Infinity +1 |
Arven is right on target with a great alley-oop of his chemistry sack. The bag explodes and the sticky substance quickly absorbs oxygen, fluffing up into a great ball daring to encapsulate one of the drakes...
Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
...but even in flight it is too nimble and quickly contorts its body away from the expanding foamy goo. While disappointing, this proves advantageous for Salty, who has a magic sack of his own...and despite a terrific range penalty still manages to connect with the flying beast...
Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
...somehow the science that emerges is more advanced than previous, and has a nearly supernatural quality. As the drake brings its wings back to make an evasive maneuver, they lock together in place held by the goo...it crashes to the ground.
Fall damage: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 3) = 10

GM Infinity +1 |
The other 2 drakes circle around for another pass. The now grounded one (purple) bites out at Arven with a rotten flesh smelling mouth...
Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Whether or not this hits depends on the UMD checks for the wand that were never rolled (by Peggy ;P). Need 3 checks for 2 hours+change to have it now I suppose.
Once that is resolved, all PCs up

Arven "The Shark's Friend" |

I waited for Serenna to roll, but probably easier if I roll for her when its required.

Arven dances away from the attempted bite, before he swings his cutlass at the dragon-like creature. "See how you like it on the ground, eh! A chance to feel my steel."

Lhinneth Silvertide |

Wow. Nice trick Lhinneth admits while watching one of the drakes plummeting and then being unceremoniously butchered by her allies. Noticing how they seem to have the situation under control, she keeps shooting at their airborne foes.

The massive drake collapses under Arven and Peggy's master strikes, emitting a pitiful last missing bite before going motionless on the greens...
Peg not a big deal but that really should have required an acrobatics check from where you were, since the non dirt tiles are difficult terrain you didn't have enough movement to get around wide. But just remember for next time
Salty's second volley is less lucky than the first and goes quite wide, but Lhinneth manages to stick an arrow in one of their haunches. They open their wings fully wide and slowly arc around for another strafing run...

Serenna maintains her position next to the smallest drake, watching the other two carefully, dropping one of her daggers, she retrieves a tanglefoot bag and hurls it at the drake Salty did not target.

Arven "The Shark's Friend" |

Arven smiling at the creature limp at his feet, kicks its leathery scales. Looking up he sees of of it companions, another of the dragons circling above him. Arven's mind races as he replaces his cutlass loosely in his belt, ready to to bring it to his hand given the chance and retrieve his newly acquired spear from his back. "Come you foul breath, feel my steel as it flies to you."

Lhinneth Silvertide |
