A wisp of a women enters into the room. Her hair encase the sides of her face. The hair looks black until sunlight reveals a purple sheen. A bright red and gold kimono covers her body and a single wakazashi adorns her hip. Around her neck is the holy symbol of the dawnflower.
She bows and says in a timid voice "Ah herro, it is a preasure to meet arr of you"

No it wasn't, my father suggested that I forrow the rest of the famiry and join the Pathfinders as soon as I was done training at Magaambya. I have been there for 5 years perfecting my warrior skirrs.

            Okay, lets discuss tactics:
may I suggest we simply take to our heels?
We can't see the enemy, and we can't get to them because the way is blocked by a halfling barbarian that hits quite hard.
However, we are't surrounded. So we might simply retreat the way we came. Then we can either mingle with the crowd - or take a completely different path back to the lodge.
I know that this is supposed to be the big climatic battle at the end of the scenario. But I see little in-character reason why our characters would fight this out. For all we know these are simply thieves who want to kill us to take our stuff. And we are not the town guard, so it isn't our job to put them to justice for it.
In any case it seems prudent to retreat - at the very least until their spell effects run out.
Can I get everyone's opinion on that before I post my turn?

In a parallel timeline where Kurth is already back at the pathfinder lodge, meeting Tori:
Kurt steps forward to shake Tori's hand.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, too. My name is Kurth. Magaambya? That doesn't sound like a place in Tian Xi. You have travelled a lot?"

Ok, I have no problem with that. It was not my intention to be racist. I studied Japanese for 6 years and they cannot pronounce their "Ls" and they turn them into "Rs", so I was trying to highlight that flavor. However I understand.
She turns to the large man her voice is filled with angst and in a wisper umhn yes. My birth father was a traveling pathfinder, an elf, who came upon my village, seduced my mother and left. She raised me for 8 years until a Tengu Warlord came upon our village. He killed my mother and I was abandoned. Her voice now turns from angst to pride. But then a noble man, who preached the holy words of Sarenrae, came to our village with some other Pathfinders. They vanquished the warlord and he adopted me. When I became 15, he sent me to Magaambya, where one of my elder brothers trained to be a wizard. Their I learned I did not have enough concentration for it, but that I was able to blend sword and mind together.

Regarding this combat, yes, they are just thieves trying to rob you, but the performers were actually hired by Deandre to funnel you into the alley, so it is most likely that they will keep you boxed in. Just keep that in mind, but I will not force you to fight, if you can find a way out of it. Obscuring mist was kind of a stupid thing to have there, since it limits both you and the other four.
@Tori: Thank you. I have studied a little Korean and Japanese myself so I understand where you are coming from. I do appreciate character quirks, but I don't need someone looking in here and interpreting it as racism. Teh interwebs iz a funny place.

I am sorry if I embarrassed you. That was not my intention at all. I thought you might of forgot or read it wrong. Please forgive me if I came across as condescending, I did not mean that. If I find any errors I will just PM from now on. I play/GM a lot of PFS so I know the rules pretty well...but I always want to bring people along with rule learning versus being a jerk.
