I just realized I adjusted Halkale for a Reign of Winter campaign. I'll adjust the Traits and such back to more First Steps available traits, which might change some things. Plus not sure I need a cold weather outfit. I apologize, I forgot I changed him in the profile and not just in a character sheet.

Whoa whoa whoa, grouping the martials together now, are we? Uncalled for. World of difference between Drogan and I.
Also, you can blame Halkale for the stats. I stole that from him... what, a month ago now?

Not to my knowledge, but if you go to http://paizo.com/people/FedoreanSilverleaf/campaigns it will let you know when new posts have been made that you have not read yet.

"Sorry I'm late. There was a thing with a guy... I had to get him to the temple. He had trouble walking there himself after falling down the stairs... More than once, he was pretty bad off...
We'll be done with this in a few weeks right? I might need to go visit him again once he's better... Flowers? Oh, yes. I'll be sure to take him flowers."
Guido's knuckle duster is conveniently named 'flowers'.

ok, since this is my first PBP, i have a question about how to do things like sense motive and my attck rolls and such, how do i address those in my post, for example if i want to sense the ladys motive, whether shes being truthful or has a hidden agenda that type of thing, how to i present that in my post in gameplay, and do i do my own rolls and post the result or do i wait for the game master to tell me to roll?

You can either type [ dice]1d20+12[ /dice] or [ dice = Sense Motive] 1d20+15[ /dice] to roll (without the spaces within the brackets, though). It's usually up to the DM whether they allow rolls on things like Sense Motive, or whether they roll it themselves. You could ask in [ooc]type setting[/ooc] to indicate you want to attempt it, though.
As for attack rolls, saves, etc., you'll usually do your own rolls and post them as part of your post.

I roll Sense Motive and Perception checks for everyone when there is a possibility of discovering something in a given situation that is written into the scenario. I will roll, and then provide the potential information in a spoiler tagged for those characters who discover it.
If you want to make Sense Motive checks in other situations, you may, and I will give what I can based on the 'Hunch' difficulty (DC 20).

Ok I posted a roll in my last game play post, if its appropriate for me to do that, great, if its a situation where i shouldn't have, disregard the roll and let me know..=}

Halkale is actually Andoran Faction, and aspires to be an Eagle Knight, if possible, so he's a bit perturbed at someone telling he's not up to their level.
Glad someone caught the sarcasm in his actions.
I wasn't really sure if the faction stuff should come up in the gameplay thread or not. Or if I would recognize the man who approached due to time spent with the faction folks.

Hrm, not sure I want to change my post, rude is still rude. Even though I may..face some sort of discipline for my veiled disrespect. And I inferred that the mission wasn't public knowledge, if any Society missions truly are. Seems like this guy is drunkish.

Halkale the PF core rule book pg 89 shows a table that indicates that Knowledge (local) is not usable untrained, I looked it up because i was going to attempt it myself, and as a question am I to assume that the DM roll above was used to see what characters receive information and which don't, with the ones receiving having their name and a "Show" button, and that we are to not open the show button unless our name is there?
Yeah, spoiler buttons like that only intended to be opened by people who meet the conditions in the spoiler's title, whether that's "Knowledge (local) DC 15" or "Guido." "DM Only" ones are usually dice rolls, but as it implies, only the DM should be looking at those.
Mind you, it's effectively impossible to enforce, so it's on the honor system. (Unless you try to use info gained by peeking at a spoiler IC and that's the only way you could know it...in which case, woe be to the one who incites a DM's wrath. ;P)

LoL..right, I figured that was how it works, Im no cheat, and i dont like to ruin the surprises so unless guido wants to share what he learned, the rest of us will have to be surprised..lol

In that last case I was going to roll a sense motive check, but i assumed that the DM did that and the results were under the DM roll, and that guido was the only one that beat the DC, and sense i didnt have knowledge as a trained skill I didnt do a roll for it,

According to the d20 site, knowledge checks can't be made untrained on DC of 10 or more, meaning you have some knowledge.

isn't a dc 10 skill check like a gimmie?..something that would be common knowledge or easy for everyone to know?..im fairly new, but seems like i read that you can "take 10" or something on very simple skills, which i suppose in this case would mean that yes you do have some knowledge of things, but probably not enough to know anything useful, but Im not a GM and don't really know how it works, just my interpretation of the rules I've read, but im all about just having fun so however the GM and the players want to do it im fine by. although since this is a PFS sanctioned game i suppose we should probably look at the PFS rules regarding it so as to be legal and whatnot..lol..=}

The DM Roll I made in that post was the Sense Motive rolls. I did one earlier with Amara Li, but I only previewed it and removed the rolls before I finished the post. I did this because in many cases I do not want the players to know if they had to make a check in the first place. I do the same for many Perception checks. Consider it a 'passive' skill check.
And Anya is correct. If I include a character's name in a spoiler tag, it is intended for that character. In this case, Guido was the only one who made the roll. (At my home games I usually hand people a piece of paper with the info and let them share it with the other players in character if they choose.) If I have a skill check in the spoiler tag you are free to make the roll if you have the appropriate skill. If you succeed, you may read the spoiler. As for Knowledge checks, as a trained only skill, you can only make checks if the DC is 10 or lower if you don't have ranks in the skill. And you may never Take 10 on knowledge checks. (I usually houserule that other skills cannot be taken 10 on either, but house rules don't exist in Pathfinder Society if they affect the rules as written to prevent Table Variation.)

Another thing I need to figure out to post in the initial thread: How I will handle Initiative.
I will roll for everyone, and arrange initiatives in blocks. For example, if the monster gets higher than everyone in the party, the monster acts first and then everyone else can go in whatever order they please, or whatever order they post in. If half the party gets higher than the monster, those characters will act in whatever order they post, and then the monster will act, followed in whatever order by those who had lower initiatives. I think this will speed things up in combat as we will not be waiting for a single person to post in order. If I do not receive a combat post in 24 hours from a player I will bot them for that round. I will provide a tally of damage dealt to enemies. Please keep track of your own HP and consumables. Doing so in your by-line and/or on your profile page will be very helpful.
Also, a reminder about the way PFS treasure works. You do not keep anything you find in a PFS scenario. You may use what you find during the scenario, but at the end they do not stay on your character. Each character will receive GP for the scenario that takes into account the value of treasure discovered. (It pays to be thorough, because what you don't find is subtracted form your total.) Notable treasures may then be purchased back if they are present on the Chronicle sheet. Two or more characters may even purchase the same item. This is not strictly realistic, but it is the way things have to work in an organized play campaign. One special tip about this: Consumables found during the scenario will typically still be available at the end whether or not they are used. Do not be stingy with scrolls or wands or potions or alchemical items you find during the scenario, for you don't keep them.
Wizards be aware this is especially true where scrolls are concerned. Scribe them when you can before the end of the scenario if you don't have them in your spellbook and haven't used them, because if you don't you'll have to get that spell some other way. Scribing can be taken care of at the end of the scenario if you like.

I would think outside, Halkale would be in front. Maybe indoors as well, if we come to a door, we'd probably have Fedorean check it out first.
Fedorean, marching order is how we walk or march, so who is in front, who is in back, where is everyone at. It's so the GM will know who is going to trip the trap!
Fedorean Silverleaf

I see, I have no problem being a scout and going first, or being wherever the group wants me to be..but probably should put the softer characters in the middle of the group so as to be protected if we get ambushed from behind, and safe from walking into traps first, but just a thought, whatever everyone decides is good for me.

does anyone know if embedding is allowed here? Pyromancers has a pretty cool map tool that looks like it would be handy in these PBP things, that can be used by url link or by embedding it right into the posts, but not sure how to get it to embed. heres a link and ill attempt to embed, if it doesnt work please ignore it..lol..the link is just the demo map and a couple of token i put on to see how it works, but looks like it could be very useful, just have to have the map hosted somewhere and our image urls. Goat, If you have the maps available I can try and get this set up if your interested, if you don't have them Ill see if I can find them, if you want.
