@Kuduro: I think it is a standard to dismiss a spell. So you wouldn't be able to dismiss silence and ready a fireball in the same round. But I could be wrong about that.
@Alan: yes, you could have used a ki point I suppose.
Ceiling is high enough to fly over the tentacles. They're basically just long enough to grab your legs if you try to walk through them.
@Brachus: I've got it noted behind spoilers this time. . . for reasons.
Seelah steps to the side and puts an arrow in Black. It hits him but strangely doesn't seem to have penetrated his thick skin as much as one would have thought. And there's the reason.

You are right about the standard action, I was thinking it was a free action.
(D) Dismissible: If the duration line ends with “(D),” you can dismiss the spell at will. You must be within range of the spell's effect and must speak words of dismissal, which are usually a modified form of the spell's verbal component. If the spell has no verbal component, you can dismiss the effect with a gesture. Dismissing a spell is a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
That just leaves me in a strange situation as silence has a (D) after the duration, I just can't speak to dismiss it. :P How many rounds did it take to get through the door? This is combat round 2? I could try to chuck the wayfinder behind me some distance (standard) and still move maybe? This is a fine mess :)

Retcon for Lavode.
Spellcasting ruined, Lavode moves forward cursing Black and his mother who should never have spawned.
I am assuming since it is difficult terrain I can only do a double move at half speed each and not a quadruple move at half speed. Correct?
Can I use either of these abilities (assuming I ever get in range)? The are listed as (Sp).
Bloodline Powers: Your celestial heritage grants you a great many powers, but they come at a price. The lords of the higher planes are watching you and your actions closely.Heavenly Fire (Sp): Starting at 1st level, you can unleash a ray of heavenly fire as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. Against evil creatures, this ray deals 1d4 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. This damage is divine and not subject to energy resistance or immunity. This ray heals good creatures of 1d4 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. A good creature cannot benefit from your heavenly fire more than once per day. Neutral creatures are neither harmed nor healed by this effect. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.
Bloodline Powers: The powers of the living rock are within you, and your communion with the strength of stone is refined and enhanced as your power grows.Tremor (Sp): At 1st level, as a standard action, you can cause the ground to shake beneath a single creature within 30 feet, functioning as a trip maneuver using your sorcerer level plus your Charisma modifier in place of your CMB. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

I forgot to add +3 to damage as well from Divibe Favor so it would have been 15 damage...also with fly IIRC, to go up is x2 movement so to go up 5' = 10 feet? So I could move 5 in air then 10 forward and then shoot black again on my turn?

@Kuduro: Hm, I didn't think about that. I'll let you chuck it behind you. With an adamantine weapon it probably only took a few rounds to beat through the door.
@Lavode: Spell-like abilities generally require the same sorts of verbal/somatic/etc requirements that casting a spell does. Since you have lost the ability to cast any spells, I would rule that casting spell-like abilities is not going to work. The spell you were hit with doesn't say you lose the abilities to cast the spells of your spellcasting class, it just says you lose the ability to cast. But if someone can correct me on that, by all means do so. I'm not trying to take away your options, just want to be fair.
Also, yes: only double move at half speed.
Lavode and Alan move further into the room.
@Seelah: yeah, you fly up at half-speed. So that sounds about right. But you also get a fly speed of 60 (40 for heavy/med armor).
Brachus moves next to the paladin and she begins to fly.
Seeing that Seelah is now flying, Black casts a spell and sends a bolt of lightning at the paladin!

I agree it should be fair, I'm just not sure how the rules apply. You may very well have it perfectly. It has not come up in a game for me before. I will add that to some questions I am asking on the forums and let you know what response I get. It won't make any difference quite yet, since I still have a ways to go before I am in range of anything.

Seelah, focusing on Black, sees a line of electric arcane magic, coming directly at her. She manages to step to the side briefly, but still feels the jolt surge through her.
When told she can fly, she isn't exactly sure how it will work, she has never flown before. She thinks she wants to go up, and much to her surprise, she starts to fly in the air slowly up 5 feet. She then begins to move forward while staring a whole through blacks twisted and crazy soul. Upon stopping, she lowers her bow, and takes aim, this time holding it until he tries to cast a spell.

Since I held my action, do I go on the same initiative as Black? If so, can I repeat the action to disrupt the next spell he casts even if on the same initiative? All this assuming he is not grappled by Black. Why can't I have the way finder to silence him lol. Do the tentacles grapple everyone, could we throw Black in them to grapple him lol
| EndlessForms |
Whoh! I just realized I made a big mistake. I took Black's turn before Brachus and Alan got to go. So Lavode should have moved up while Kuduro and Seelah readied their actions against his casting. Initiative 0 is the thing in the vat (which I did), then Brachus and Alan at the top before Black gets to go. So we'll just pretend his failed casting hasn't happened yet but will happen after I get an action from Brachus. Alan's grappled would have only made it even harder for him to cast anyways so nothing ultimately changes, I just got a little ahead of myself this morning.
@Lavode: Correct. No breathing or moving but not dead-just suspended in some way.
@Seelah: technically to interrupt his spell you would have had to ready an action with the trigger 'when he starts casting, I do X'. If you hold or go on delay you can't interrupt someone's action, you can only jump back in either before or after them. When you hold you change places in initiative order but when you ready you do not. I assumed you wanted to ready and just got the language mixed up, which is understandable because they are similar and confusing. So right now (because of my mixup) you are still readied to interrupt his casting. Then since I already posted it above you will interrupt his casting when he goes. When you are up again you can certainly do the same thing and ready against his casting again.

If out of reach, the current location is correct. If I need to move another 5' up, then move Seelah back exactly 1 square, thanx

A grappled creature takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls and combat maneuver checks, except those made to grapple or escape a grapple. In addition, grappled creatures can take no action that requires two hands to perform. A grappled character who attempts to cast a spell or use a spell-like ability must make a concentration check (DC 10 + grappler's CMB + spell level), or lose the spell. Grappled creatures cannot make attacks of opportunity.
A grappled creature cannot use Stealth to hide from the creature grappling it, even if a special ability, such as hide in plain sight, would normally allow it to do so.
