Sorry for the uncharacteristically slow posting this week; terribly busy with school work. Posting should resume to normal pace now.
Alan continues to assault the angelic guardian, only being able to make little dents at a time but still helping. Seelah lets loose on the first guardian, worried about the second statue that just broke free, and is able to finally knock a gear loose. The first golem stops moving.
Lavode summons a lightning elemental who charges the new foe and trips it to the ground. Lavode then sends out a burst of heavenly fire to heal an ally.
The angelic guardian stands up (provoking from Kuduro) and lets loose a breath of fire. Hitting Kuduro and Seelah. Ref DC 13 for half.

Out of combat!

EndlessForms |

At the sound of the combat going on in the greenhouse, several servants must have rushed to find Sheila Heidmarch, for she appears moments after the final guardian is brought down.
She looks around and inspects the guardians and her wayfinder for some time. She uncovers a small placard on nape of each angel’s neck in the shape of the Golemworks’s insignia. Each bears the angels’ creation
year (the current year) and has a space for a maker’s mark. On both golems no maker’s mark was left to identify the creatures’ creator.
"I have a suspicion that enemies of the Society sabotaged the constructs, likely hoping to take me out. I please ask you to look into the circumstances of the angelic guardians’ crafting."
"Go to the Golemworks and meet my contact there, a man named Reemis, with whom I placed my original order for the angelic guardians. I must stress that the Decemvirate wants to stay on good terms with the Golemworks so discretion is needed. Find out who made the angelic guardians and what the artificer’s true motivations were in sabotaging them."
Sheila allows you to borrow Trusty Buddy (the adamantine crowbar) during your investigation. She tells you that it was a favorite tool of hers and Canayven's during their adventuring days.

![]() |

Golem...officially...SUCK lol. I am gonna figure out my attack bonus with said Trusted Buddy, I may be using it more often than my sword at the moment. What would the damage be on it, d6 or d4? I know I am gonna take a -4 for imp weapon. BAB 7 + STR 4 -4 imp weapon = +7/+2? If I did math correctly.
Seelah, seeing the final guardian go down lets out a giant sigh, and she takes a deep breath. She looks around at the chaos of the recent events, looks at those that had stood by her side in battle,
Iomedae would be proud of everyone here, thank you all for the support. Now let's go... her voice trailing off as she sees Shiela step through the door.
She lets the woman talk, and when finished,
Just the person I wanted to see. Seems there is someone wanting to sabotage things, and I do intend to get to the bottom of things. This does not sit well with me. We shall go find out who is responsible for this. Also, thank you for lending your Trusty Buddy, I am sure it will come in handy. I hate to ask, but should we need a place to recuperate during our investigation, is there a place we could stay. Here preferably should those responsible wish to try again she says with a smile on her face but seriousness in her tone.
Serious tone as in the events just now and the circumstances thereof, not a threading tone
diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

![]() |

Sure, let me see if my slot is used up though...checked and good to go. Thank you, the angelic guardians I could use the crowbar and against golems I could use my longsword. This just may work out lol Thank you very much Kuduro :)

![]() |

To the captain, We shall take care of this for you Captain Heidmarch.
To the others, We should prepare to leave right away. But before we leave do any of you have suggestions? As you saw, against golems and other constructs I am relatively skilled at knocking them down. But my powers are typically not the greatest at damaging them. My creatures are much better at stopping people.
I don't have a lot of cash left (approx. 2k gold). But if you guys can think of something I should purchase that seems useful, well I am open to suggestions.

![]() |

I can hold the front line, let you trip them and hinder them in other ways. We will get to the bottom of this as a group. We need to be careful however, these two guardians we just dispatched, took much healing from me and my divine connection to Iomedae. We need to remember to rest if needed, no sense getting killed over some rookie mistakes. Also, Alan, you are looking slightly less for wear, please let me help you with those scraps and cuts.
With that, Seelah will pule out her wand of CMW, and touch Alan to heal him. CMW wand 1 charge: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6) + 3 = 12

![]() |

Alan stands erect as the last golem falls. Gripping his arm and flexing his fingers as to relax them a bit he finally shakes them out. I always hated that drill in the monastary. Thank you lady Seelah. Perhaps next time I should let them attack me while the rest of you flank. I can be quite good at dodging when I want to be.
That hit should have never happened. Forgot about crane wing. Oh well. What's done is done.

EndlessForms |

Sheila lets you know that you are always welcome at the Heidmarch Manor and that she has set aside enough rooms for everyone should you require rest.
Off to the Golemworks then or do you need to shop/rest?

![]() |

I vote continue....I don't want the person responsible for this getting tipped off and running away. Maybe a quick stop in a shop on our way there to buy a bomb or 2..but that's it.
If healing is a concern...we have 2 clerics in the party...if anything healing shouldn't be our problem ;)

![]() |

I agree that we don't want to give anyone time to destroy evidence or flee. Since the Golemworks is so close, I would also like to grab a few alchemical items before we head over.

EndlessForms |

The Golemworks is in Magnimar.
On the way to the Golemworks, the party picks up a few alchemical supplies. North of the Irespan, a cluster of warehouses harbors one of Magnimar’s best-known industries—the Golemworks. The shouts of laborers who dredge fallen segments of the Irespan compete with the clamor of artisans: the sculptors, jewelers, woodcarvers, and arcane artificers whose secret skills breathe life into their constructs.
You have little trouble locating the Golemworks’ sprawling complex, and Sheila’s contact, Reemis, therein. A pudgy, balding Chelish man in his mid-fifties, Reemis greets you kindly and inquires about how Sheila likes her latest delivery.
