GM Endless Forms' PFS 01-29 The Devil We Know Part I: Shipyard Rats (1-7) (Inactive)

Game Master Mike Tuholski

A 1-7 PFS scenario played at the 3-4 subtier. MAPS!

Hello all! Another PFS game from Endless Forms! You must have a legal appropriately-leveled PFS character.

I am planning to do the whole five-part Devil We Know series so I'd prefer people who have not played any of them before.

I currently have two players (level 3 fighter and level 5 sorcerer) and I believe they were aiming for mid tier (3-4) so characters around that level range would be best.

I am only accepting two characters (for a total of four with the two I already have) because I have a couple people who have already done Part I but would like to jump in on Parts II and III.

Thanks everyone!

I'd love to put down my interest for this...granted, I only have this level 1 Ranger and a level 7 Samurai.

The only way that we'd be able to play 3-4 would be if the average table level was 3-4, right?

Pretty much, yeah. I wouldn't recommend playing a level 1 up to the 3-4 tier, especially with this first one, which can be pretty difficult from what I remember playing it.

Hi again, GM EndlessForms!

I've already played parts I and II, but I'm hoping I can join you later for parts III and onwards.

Have a good game!

Ok, sure. Keep a watch and remind me later in case I forget (assuming they're not already full, that is-I've had several others make similar requests).

Would it be terrible to throw my lot in anyways? I honestly don't mind the character death and what not :)

If the other players are ok babysitting you. But if we get some higher-tier people wanting your seat I'll probably have to go with them for the safety of the other players.

Sovereign Court

I can post either an Inquisitor 5 or Polearm Master 5 (who can start tomorrow afternoon after he plays a 2-parter) if there is room.

Yes, there should be room. I believe I still only have the two originals, not counting Banon's level 1.

@Banon: You could always play a level 4 pregen. That would actually be a safer bet for both your character and the rest of the party. I'd just be worried that it would essentially be a 3-person party if a level 1 was tagging along.

In a larger party with the right mix, that wouldn't be an issue; I played up a couple of times with an L1 archer rogue, but there were five other PCs in the L3-L4 range along and I was able to help out in other ways besides plinking from a distance. With only three other PCs, I'd worry about your character putting the rest of us at risk.

Sovereign Court

Is there a preference for either Inquisitor or Polearm Master?
(Not played the Inquisitor for a while, so bear with me while I'm relearning him.)

Liberty's Edge

Kilian's a polearm trip fighter (mobile fighter archetype), so I think the inquisitor would be a better fit--some healing, plus social skills that the sorcerer and fighter might be lacking.

Sovereign Court

Inquisitor it is! I'll go post my intro.

Still looking for one more I believe.

Unless Banon wants to use a level 4 pregen that is.

Silver Crusade

Well, my level 4 cleric of Iomedae just finished a game yesterday, and got his chronicle today.

I am, however, playing this one with a level 2 character right now. I'd be ok playing one of the games for no credit, but I'm not sure how you feel about taking someone who's done it before. I haven't done Parts II or III yet.

@Oswin: I'm fine with that if you don't mind playing Part I for no credit. As long as you don't spoil anything but I trust you not to do that. It's been a long time since I've played it so it's probably fresher in your mind than mine. And I don't think the rest of the party will mind having a cleric on hand, haha. So yeah, everything looks good. Feel free to join Discussion and Gameplay and we'll get started shortly now that we have four players.
