Krokod Firetongue |

Sensible or not, Krokod is not approaching any foe in hand to hand at this time, not when the slightest strike could take him out. Again he slings, this time at the snake.

Combat Over
Faruq runs to the pilot house and comes back with a couple of potions and first gives one to Corax CMW 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2) + 3 = 9

Corax RQ |

Corax comes too, groggily. She looks at the debris around her and shakes her head ruefully. "A few snakes and I couldn't last the fight."
She stands - albeit with a wobbly stance and moves to the side of the boat, looking out into the distance. She seems to be in her own world.

Angelo Carvesan |

Angelo continues a successful impersonation of a pile of black rags kicked around on the deck. If anyone listens closely, they might hear a slight moan as the rocking of the boat causes the pile of rags to shift.

Jean-Phillipe Poulain |

"Ze poison, ees bad. Ze jungle, ees death. And zat one," indicating the recovering Angelo, "is zee fool 'oo killed your predecessor."

Angelo Carvesan |

Angelo looks around blearily "I'll keep your advice in mind next time I try to help a comrade in distress. Perhaps Pharasma punishes me for trying to cheat her."
"But, Pharasma mi perdoni, I think I'll continue on trying to skirt the vale of the shadow. Who is most grievously hurt? Is anyone feeling ill effects of the snakes' poison?" Angelo sets about treating snake bites and bandaging wounds.
@Poulain - Angelo was going to have something complementary (and potentially witty and entertaining) to say about Poulain's outstanding shootiness. Poulain has, as usual, found exactly the right thing to say to distance himself from comradeship. :) shades of gray are a marvelous thing.

Krokod Firetongue |

Krokod nearly collapses from exhaustion, "I need to rest. I need time to restore my power. My apologies for not being...more effective." He will detect magic on what the Ketch left, though he doubts he'll find anything. After that, he plans to rest and heal.

Angelo Carvesan |

Before folks prepare to rest, Angelo uses his last three CLWs on himself, Krokod, and Corax. He'll also tend everyone's wounds, using a healer's kit. He offers Faruq a replacement potion, and helps convince him to take some rest and tending.
Angelo
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Krokod
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Corax
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Poulain
heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Faruq
heal: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
So... everyone except Angelo and Corax get double healing rate overnight (if we get there relatively undisturbed. Corax - i dunno what to tell you, maybe you soaked up too much venom?

GMEDWIN |

For the rest of the day there is no incident and you advance another 30 miles since the beginning of the day and Selim anchors the boat in order to avoid danger.

Hurg says, "I need help with the engine, I for the life of me cain't get, sometimes fresshhh eyes is what you need"
Knowledge Engineering DC 25, please to make the fixes

Angelo Carvesan |

Angelo continues to be intrigued by the ship's engine, though somewhat dismayed at a request to attempt to repair it. Angelo follows Hurg to the engine, and tries to understand what's wrong.
@Edwin - can't do it untrained. How does Use Magic Device grab you? or is it specifically a mechanical issue?

Jean-Phillipe Poulain |

Not an expert at machinery, Jean-Phillipe examines the engine as best he can. perception: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25

GMEDWIN |

Poulain gets a wrench and looks around and is able to get the engine started, which then requires 1 more hour to charge up before
travel can resume. After the hour, Faruq pulls up the anchor and the River Queen starts chugging back up river.
GM Rolls Afternoon 1d100 ⇒ 92
The river queen is able to travel 27 miles during this day and nothing else of import happens the rest of the day, periodically, Angelo and Krokod cast healing on injured members of the party, from the day before and cure poison on those who were poisoned.
