Bizz, you were within 30ft when the demon's attack went off so you need to make a fort save.
Ryster is able to leave a small wound one the demonic looking monster with his cold Iron Bullet but his other shots either miss or bounce off. Fizz and Beaky has similar results with Beaky unable able to get its beak though the creatures thick hide and Bizz missing with his swing as he rode by. Fizz and Grim have better luck against the misshaped creature they are fighting. While Fizz is able to deal some decent damage Grim just rips the monster apart leaving a fleshy pile of gore at the wolf's feet.
Osric moves forward and lines up a clean shot on the demon burring his cold iron arrow deep into the beast.
Seeing that the ranged character are a clear thread the demonic creature rises to the air, as the barbarians take ineffective swings at the beast, and moves towards the archer. Opening its massive maw it attempts to sink its teeth into Osric, he is a bit too quick for it.

Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
The barbarians charge the demonic creatures and attempt to bring it back down tot he ground but their blades seem ineffective against the monster.

Thank you friends. One of barbarians says as the everyone settles down. We hunt there monsters but this one was more dangerous than most. Another group headed farther into the mountains, that way. He points further down the valley. Will you hunt them with us? They are not far ahead now.

The barbarians then take a beating from your attacks as all of them hit. Ryster's bullets nearly take down the center barbarian. Fizz takes two swings at the leftmost barbarian smacking the man hard with the flat of his blade.
The barbarians try to return the blows but find it difficult due to the grasping undergrowth.

The party continues its assault on the barbarians. Ryster brings his target down with two of his shots and then hits the Barbarian Fighting the gnomes. Grim tears apart the man on the right allowing Osric to charge the last barbarian, landing a glancing blow on the man's back, and setting up a flank for the Paladin who knocks the man unconscious with the flat of his greatsword. As the man barbarians fall the area grown eerily silent and a numbing chill spreads through the valley as the sun starts to sink behind the mountains.
Suddenly inky blackness begins to seep out of the wounds Ryster's left in the center man. The entire area is covered in supernatural darkness and a haunting laughter seeps into your mind.
The creature possessing the barbarian in the center has escaped its physical shell and is spreading magical darkness. This is supernatural darkness so Darkvision doesn't even work. It is laughing at you telepathically.

A wispy, transparent form hovers over the body of the fallen barbarian its wicked horns and taloned hands make very clear this is some sort of demon.
