Kyrin steps closer to Nigel, drawing his greatsword. "Don't animals usually eat all of their food? I think we may have interrupted the beast, and it must be close."

Ahh, a great big cat was just over the river there. It ran deeper into the woods.

Nalun will defer to the woodsmistress in going first to investigate.

Gilthanis will follow Theronna ad the others. He will stay towards the back of the pack, in case something wants to come from behind. He will keep a lookout behind him just in case.

Theronna, surprised she missed the beast, approaches the corpse cautiously.
"Urdel wanted us to help kill a big cat if we saw it. Would any of you be against tracking it down?"
She stated as she began searching for anything to track the beast by.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 +2 again as I assume this is an animal.

"I am not against it, so long as we do not bring unnecessary danger to Nester."

Theronna's gaze seems to slowly move towards the fallen tree. She stares at it for a moment.
"We need to go that way anyways. We may not even have an option about dealing with it."

He also loosens his shortbow in its case, readying it for quick deployment. just fluff no mechanics

Taking your time you each cross the log, getting to the other side you find the trails lead off down the path and further into the woods.

"Relys, at the ready" Theronna said as she cautiously followed the tracks deeper into the woods. The hawk fluttered off her gloved hand and landed on her shoulder, allowing her to arm herself with her longbow, an arrow nocked in case of trouble.

Following the tracks for some time you eventually lose the trail, not wanting to stray too far off the path, as the forest gets thicker and the underbrush heavier. You continue on your journey until dark finding a spot in the woods to camp.

Setting up camp for the night you begin to take your shifts at watch.

As Kyrin and Theronna keep watch and chat about their travels so far a large cat comes out of the underbrush trying to sneak up but Theronna spots it.

Theronna shouts an alarm to the sleeping group. Draws her bow, and takes a shot at the cat.

I usally assume that when a person is on watch they wear their armour, and take it off when they are sleeping unless otherwise specified.. can I assume that here?

Kyrin moves toward the cat and draws his greatsword on the way. "Your days of terrorizing end here!"

Theronna lodges an arrow into the creature, which cries in pain, but doesn't seem to be all too deturred. Kyrin moves up to the creature. The feline seeing the man coming at him, and wanting to get to the easier prey , in a moment of horror, hisses and screeches in pain as it's face begins to peel back from it's skull revealing the musculature and bony structures of its skull.

Kyrin need a DC 12 Will save against fear

Kyrin stares wide-eyed at the cat as its skin peels back, and feels fear start to take over. With a quick prayer to his god for grace, he swings at the cat, not quite as gracefully as he should be for a warrior of his stature.

Nalun awakens with a start Bloody hells, trying to sleep here. Upon seeing the fighting he pops up grabbing his sword (Standard Action) and begins to move (move action) to join the fray.

Gilthanis wakes up with all the commotion. He looks around, sees a large cat in heated combat with the fellow adventurers. He gets up (move action) and draws his shortbow to lend support and keep the merchant safe while keeping tabs on the area around. perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Theronna steps slightly to the side to get a clearer shot, and takes another shot at the beast, though the sudden swarming of her fellows makes the shot a little harder.

Felgarath wakes up with all of the commotion. He looks around and sees the large cat. He stands up and moves over to the merchant's side, gripping his staff tightly and contemplating his next move.

Felgarath readies his staff to whack the creature if it gets close.

Kyrin runs away in fear from the grisely sight of the cat's skin peeling back. While the others stir from rest and move to combat Theronna takes a shot with her bow, but misses the cat.

With a new target the feline stalks up to Nalun trying to bite at him.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Nalun manages to dodge out of the way of the bite, avoiding the bite.

Theronna takes another shot at the cat as she calls for Relys to strike its flank in hopes of assisting Nalun.

Gilthanis will nock an arrow, and do his best to attempt to aim at the strange cat-like beast without hitting his comrades in battle.

He then strikes out at the creature in front of him.

Theronna nooks another arrow and let's it fly but with others engaging the beast she ends up missing her target. Sending in her bird it finds similar results missing the feline with it's talons. Kyrin continues to flee from the creature putting a good amount of ground between himself and the cat. Gilthanis, now up and ready takes a shot with his bow but misses as well. Nalun shifts, avoiding the flying arrows of his companions, striking out only to miss the beast as well. Felgarath stands back defending himself in case the beast comes his way.

The cat turns to face Nalun continuing to try and attack him.

Missing Nalun with it's sharp teeth it lashes out at him catching him with it's claws before he has a chance to dodge out of the way.

Probably should add some kind of icon for Relys, he should currently be in the square just to the right of the 'cat', and is now moving to the upper right corner.

Theronna, realizing she must be having an off day right now, drops her longbow and rushes at the cat, drawing her kukri to stab at it.

Meanwhile, Relys moves to keep flanking with Nalun and continues to attempt striking the beast.

Theronna moves up dropping her bow and pulling out her Kukri, taking a swing she misses the cat as it narrowly dodges the blow. The falcon comes in for another attach pecking and clawing at the cat. Nalun protects himself from further attacks after the nasty blow from the cat. Gilthis lets another arrow loose but once again it flies off, missing it's target. Kyrin finally able to get ahold of himself moves back to aid his companions almost getting to the battle. Felgarath stands back continuing to defend himself and Rees.

The cat spins around after the birds assualt trying to swat it out of the air and eat it.

Theronna sees Kyrin almost rejoin the battle and waits for him to move into position to continue striking.
Meanwhile, seeing her companion now at the focus of attention, she tells him to back off once he finishes another flurry.

Kyrin moves in to flank and strike the frightening creature.

Seeing his fellow pathfinders joining combat Nalun strikes at the creature, sidling 5' to the right to get a good strike in.

Gilthas takes another shot which goes wide. Relys manages to sink it's talons into the cats hide once again. Kyrin moves up to attack the beast stricking true while Theronna distracts it with her own attack that misses. Nalun brings his sword down on the beast finishing it off, dropping it to the ground where it bleeds out.

Felgarath approaches the creature and examines it.

Theronna calls Relys back over to her. The hawk gladly perches itself back on her gloved hand. She looks him over and sees a few small scrapes, but otherwise the bird seems fine.
"Good work Relys. Glad to see you're able to pick up the slack when I'm struggling."
She then grabs her bow that she had dropped earlier and returns to the group to see what strange creature they had run into.
"Are you okay Nalun? That beast looked like it really did a number on you."
