Seeing his friends in serious danger, Rogar changes his mind and flies at full speed down the roof, slamming into the wizard, sword swinging, but still trying to keep away from the place he last saw the summoned monster stand.

@Everyone: Rogar has a wand of protection from evil. Could help a lot against the summon. He can't reliably cast it unfortunately.

Just realized Rogar was behind the roof, hidden from sight (as I specified in my previous post). If that prevents charging then he will drink his potion of enlarge person and fly near the sleeping assassin, with a final diagonal movement he should end within reach thanks to enlarge person

Yeah, the wizard wasn't casting at you due to the blocked LOS, so I'm afraid I am going to enforce that for the charge

Equal Fort save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Seren takes a nick to her side, but her sheer frustration must be protecting her as the attack seems to have no effect. The medium just mutters and tries to steady herself with several deep breaths for bravery and to fight off the weakness. "I keep doin' dumber and dumber stuff!" Then she runs by where it is, giving her some space from where Ansha declared the creature to be. "I got this guys!"
She and her spirit pull out her scroll from earlier and activate it, shooting a cloud of glitter into the space the bone monster is hiding. "Gotcha!"
Free action to dance, move to new location and it'll provoke off the invisible thing, standard to use my scroll of glitterdust where Ansha called out. The DC on the scroll should be 13 vs the blindness.

The dreadful skeleton allows Seren to pass unmolested, hoping to use its invisibility to guard itself for longer. This choice immediately comes back to haunt it as it cowers from the sudden storm of light!
Once more the cultist chants and brings forth a dread fog, but where the previous one sickened and weakened Tessara, this one strikes to kill. Also, the observant among you notice that for a moment, space seemed to ripple, as the villainous mage suddenly appeared a few feet from where he had been standing. Displacement has run out
The newly revealed monstrosity does its best to aid its master, despite its blindness, hoping to end the elvish enchantress once and for all!

Fortitude vs Str damage: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Fortitude vs Con damage: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Ansha stumbles out of the cloud of death-fog coughing and retching. I'm guessing with a 1 STR she may have to double-move just to move 30'...assuming she's still conscious after the CON damage.
A final pair of arrows wing out of the shadows to strike the caster. With a gesture something like a salute, the shadowy half-orcish silhouette slips deeper into the shadows. (Third and final use of my Vegazi's Ally boon.)
Vegazi: 1d20 + 10 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 1 - 2 = 22

Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
The pirate coughs and sputters a bit and decides to try a different tactic to escape the cloud.
Attempt to tumble through the caster's square vs CMD +5 spending a point of panache on the attempt.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 11 + (2) = 21
If that succeeds, end up on the other side of the caster. If not, provokes and AoO and her movement ends.
Either way, she attempts to clap at the caster's ears to temporarily disrupt her hearing.
Dirty Trick: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 20 = 21. On a success, the caster is deafened for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds + 1 per 5 she exceeds the CMD. The caster may end this effect as a standard action.
Deafened incurs a 20% chance of spell failure for any spell with a verbal component.
Well, that didn't work.

Fort Save DC 22: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Seren starts to cough as the gas surrounds her, but while she's trying to gag her spirit Malsaire grabs ahold of her body, forces the urge down and drags them stumbling out of the cloud. "Enough of these magical games!"
With a chanting for divine guidance she thrusts her holy symbol at the cloud of gas, attempting to remove it.
Free action to dance, move out of the cloud, and standard to target a dispel on the mysterious, killery cloud.

By my count the 2 Con damage will reduce Ansha's hp by 7 - just enough to KO her

Shouldn't the cultist be at -49 right now? The Vegazi's Ally boon doesn't rely on Ansha being conscious. It just says: "Vegazi assists the PC in combat for one round, making a full attack on the PC's initiative against a target of the PC's choice with her +1 composite longbow; +10/+5 (1d8+2/x3). She has the feats Deadly Aim (-2 to hit, +4 damage), Point Blank Shot, and Precise Shot, and gains a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls against orcs." Ansha's first use of the boon was while she was unconscious too.

You are correct Ansha, I mistakenly left that out of the last post.
Gratuitously difficult Fort Save: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Grapple: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
In a flash the tables seem to have turned - a new arrow sprouts from the cultist's back, and the assassin he was here to rescue has met a messy end.
Nonetheless he bares his teeth in a rictus grin, hoping to take as many of you with him as possible!

I disagree: priority is to kill the casters, especially considering the amount of damage one can do to us as a group. Also the mechanic for casting on the defensive really feels punishing, you do everything you can to corner a spellcaster and then he just rolls a low DC check and saves his skinny ass without even having to suffer an attack of opportunity! XD

GM: I believe you made a mistake about the summon's hp. Unless it has a DR of 20, Rogar's blow caused 70 damage in a single blow because it was a critical, so a single attack, not 2. Then her seance ends, the dancing stops, and she goes from shades of white and grey to green. She drops to the ground looking sick and resists the urge to stay there.
Instead she stands back up and pulls out a scroll of lesser restoration, Waving it around like a baton in the faces of the rest. "I mean I'm good with the runnin' thin', but just in case we can't or you guys want to stay I need to start fixin' how awful I feel. What we doin'? Malsaire is exhausted, but I could bring out Katsu just to start hittin' stuff, yeah?"

Rogar seems pensive. It's actually the first time you see the warrior assume such a serious expression:"We can run, sure. But what happens to the people living in this district once those portals you mentioned open, lady Ansha?" Rogar says.
"I think we should stay and try to fix this mess as much as we can. Look. I'm not suggesting we should get ourselves killed. Just that we cannot leave this place unguarded until reinforcements come. If things start going badly we'll bolt away as quickly as we can but, at the very least we've got an obligation to take a stand here. And besides... this time we can prepare ourselves, right?" Rogar finishes, smiling.
@Everyone: Rogar will offer his wand of clw for healing (just tell me how many charges get consumed) and his wand of protection from evil (we'll use it just before the portals open, in order to gain max uses out of it. Also, we'll keep a formation allowing us to defend the weakened members of the party. If the next encounter proves too daunting we'll try to flee (maybe positioning ourselves near the map's border). What do you say?

Tess flies back to the group, taking a spot towards to the middle. ”I can use your wands, Rogar. Protection from evil might come in very handy for everyone.”

It was in the spoiler, which Ansha could see, but just to be explicit, you've got 10 rounds for healing/buffs. Go ahead and place yourself where you'd like on the same map as well (with Rogar shrunk back down)

At work, it Seren will give Ursahla her last heroism so Seren, Ursahla, and Rogar all have them. Then she’s going to use the lesser restoration scroll she has while recovering from dancing.
