Also, Happy New Year, everyone! (Since I'm on the US West Coast and we're one of the last ones to get to it. :P)

Sariel Patrick Cornelius |

Yes, happy New Year, All, good luck with the writing, Budd!

Forest_Hunter |

Sorry 'bout my absence. Local PD said there were what they felt were credible threats against my business and employees so I've been living at work for the last week and a half. Should be done with this silliness in a few days.

Calia Pevanazee |

Oh, geez...hope all that mess gets figured out and resolves for the better...

Artemis Lihanuga |

I still live! Holidays were a whirlwind but I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
Happy New Year, all!
Forest, I hope things are back to normal.

Laird Welk |

I'm also back, still sick, but now with extra back spasms and an ER visit notch on my belt. *Blegh* All jokes aside though I am here, well medicated and ready to rock... I think I am waiting until after the golem moves for my next turn right?

Budd the C.H.U.D. |

Hey, guys. I'm having a bit of a crisis right now. I'm not sure if I should continue this campaign now that the posting rate has slowed down to such a crawl; I'm not 100% confident that it can get back up to something regular enough to be worthwhile anymore. I'm having a similar predicament with my other game I was running, and after a lot of thinking, I think running these two games is starting to feel more like a chore than a fun pastime. You've all been great, but the way things are going now, I'm not sure that I can keep my enthusiasm up.
So, what do you think, guys? Should I keep this one on life support, or should I pull the plug? Because right now I'm starting to feel really disenchanted with the whole thing.
Mind you, I intend to keep on gaming here on the boards, but I'll probably take a break from GMing for a while. It's definitely something I'd like to come back to after a while, though, because I think as a medium it's a very cool way to play Pathfinder (and when it's good, it's VERY good- as indicated by some of the excellent writing I've seen out of some of you guys and in my other campaign).
Sooo... which way's the wind blowing?

Calia Pevanazee |

I'm willing to keep going - I've had fun in here so far. But it is really hard to recover to a good speed once things have slowed down, and if you're starting to lose motivation, Budd, then I don't want you to feel obligated. Having a GM who just thinks of the game he's running as a chore is the biggest fun-killer of all, because it shows in how things are run.
All that to say, my vote is for continuing if others want to, but Budd's vote overrides all. :)

Sariel Patrick Cornelius |

I'm enjoying the characters and the writing, but the pace has slipped into the "couple of posts a week category" which is always sad, especially since is sit at night (I work third shift) refreshing my campaign page hoping someone posts, and then of course I check it three or four times during the day.
Budd, I enjoy the game, but if your not lets either kill it or change it, any chance of combining the two games using the speedy characters from each?

Laird Welk |

The start of 2016 has sucked. But I would love to keep going. In my experience there are lulls and they can be overcome, in part, by those who are still active pre-empting the slow pokes... Easy ways to do this are assume other character complies to a request, hands over an item or follows through on a chain of thought. Active players can also post conditionals like ( if X does or does not do Y I will do A or B). This gives the GM agency to fill in blanks and scoot the group

I do, and I'm feeling over my little crybaby moment. Let's keep it crackin'!
So, with that said, what's everybody going to do? You've claimed prizes, now it's time to decide where you want to go...
...OR I'LL DECIDE FOR YOU! >:D

Calia Pevanazee |

*casts Ghost Sound* *dramatic music plays out of nowhere* >:)

Artemis Lihanuga |

Still here gang. I'll get caught up, by January has been a rough one. My job is actually making me work...I've taken on broader responsibilities in podcast/vod production & writing for a couple of groups so...yeah. Just trying to get a handle on this new normal.
I'll be upping my post frequency but it'll be shorter posts. I'm definitely interested in the game and especially the diverse group assembled.

Budd the C.H.U.D. |

Map updated! Managed to condense matters down to just two computers now.
The only known missing Kassenite is Dimira, younger sister of the cobbler, Roldare, whom the party rescued earlier. Forest would know of her, as she is an acolyte at the local temple of Erastil.

Calia Pevanazee |

Oh come on, you can't have things be too easy, now. You could always swing to the opposite end of the spectrum like me, do everything on a 12 inch Chromebook. ;)

Artemis Lihanuga |

Sorry, folks. I had a death in the family. Trying to get situated and back to posting.

Calia Pevanazee |

Sorry to hear that. Hope things get back to the new normal for you and you have a chance to recover as you need.

Sariel Patrick Cornelius |

Hey Budd:
Due to a change in responsibilities at work, and my father-in-law beginning a regular extended chemotherapy, I feel I need to step away from the games I am playing in. I apologize that it will delay and alter the games. After having played In some games over a year and a half I assumed I would be able to continue the games through to their finish but real life has raised its ugly head. Thanks for running the game. Good luck and good gaming to all.

Budd the C.H.U.D. |

Meep! Well, real life does always take priority. I'll take care of Sariel until an opportunity arises to take him out of the campaign; in the meantime, thanks for playing and take care!
In the meantime, party, hang tight! The conundrum of the great whirling pillar is nearly done.
Also, in the wake of Sariel's departure, how's everybody feeling about the game? Thoughts, feedback, etc.?

Calia Pevanazee |

Eesh, that's less than good. Best wishes to you and yours - we'll miss you!
I'm perfectly ready to continue if everyone else is; I'm having fun with Calia, and I appreciate the quality of gameplay we have.

Artemis Lihanuga |

Prayers and best wishes, Sariel. I'm going thru a rough patch too. I hope you're surrounded by the love & strength you need!
I'm good with the game. It's been a while but I'm finally getting my groove going again. (See Bacarov)

Artemis Lihanuga |

All the best to you too, Doreen. Hope things make sense soon!

Budd the C.H.U.D. |

Indeed. Hope everything's okay.
So, gang, you've got two options here as far as where to go; south (presumably toward your destination) or east (which presumably leads back toward where Roldare and the safe room are). Thoughts?

Calia Pevanazee |

I'm all for continuing unless the pillar room got us enough experience and resting will let us level up. ;)

Artemis Lihanuga |

Sweet. I'll try and get updated this weekend. But narrative-wise, in ready to go.

Calia Pevanazee |

Woohoo! I'll get my sheet updated. Just to let you know, I'm having a whirlwind big city adventure with the husband the next few days, so my posting will be spotty until Wednesday night.

Doreen Crowley |

Update done.
Highlights: I can now cast Cure Light Wounds up to x4 a day.
I can now throw cards like darts (and luckily I bought an extra deck) and they count as magical weapons for damage purposes.
I might be able to take more than one hit. Maybe.

Calia Pevanazee |

I might be able to take more than one hit. Maybe.
Hmm...naaah. ;)
EDIT: Side note, I'll probably be picking up cure light wounds for my new first level spell as well, unless we think Doreen will cover it well enough. And since I'm spontaneous, I don't have to worry about preparing it over other stuff - it's just there if we need it.

Artemis Lihanuga |

How are we doing hp at level 2?

![]() |

I want to apologize for my absence I came down with some hellish virus thing and was hospitalized on Monday. I was recently released and am trying to get back on my feet. I hope to have updates to all my games by tonight or tomorrow morning by the latest.

Laird Welk |

Touch and go in so much that occasionally I have to run to the restroom but I seem to be in enough health to go to work and cause trouble and get online and tell people about my woes...so there you go? Lol. I'm beat but getting there but that first 48 hours...I could do without that experience again.

Calia Pevanazee |

I just realized I forgot to actually get Calia leveled. My bad. :)

Artemis Lihanuga |

Artemis is all leveled up. Took Guarded Stance for the Rage power.
...and he's about to do something brash...
...and I'm fine with recruiting once we're in a logical place in the story.
