Felix says We need to be wary. At least one kobold seems to still be alive and where there is one, there is likely more.
Connor turns a glance to Felix; his eyes gleaming in the magical light.
"Good," he says as he hefts his axe "I am eager for battle."
Odds north, even's west
1d4 ⇒ 3
Good enough, north it is...
"Let us be about it, then," Connor says to the others.
Seeing that Riley is willing to come he gives the Half-Elf a crooked smile, then he strides forward down the northern tunnel.
Connor will advance as far north as he is able to (I think that puts him to the left of the white square on the map?). I believe Riley has offered to go with him, but I'm not sure how close he'll be to me, but I'm hoping adjacent to him? That's up to Riley, I guess...

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Upon Felix's warning and with the aid of one dancing light, Connor and Riley advance to the very northern passage until it comes to an end. The passage is not a long one. Riley discovers no traps along the way nor observes any other threat.
There is not much room at the end of the passageway and the two stand side by side and and see a hole in the earthern floor. Taking a closer look (with the aid of light) it appears to drop down to a narrow, four foot tunnel which appears to then wind eastward.
What are the others doing at this time, please? And can I have everyone but Riley (he's already rolled) make a Perception check, please.

BOTTING: Rhia is unable to post tonight, so I've been asked to make a quick post and roll Perception for her.
Upon Felix's warning of a possible living kobold in the area, Rhia moves up the passageway to the north, as quietly as she can so as to not draw any unwanted attention. She does not move too far along, keeping close to Felix and Anila in case of trouble, noting Connor and Riley have stopped further up the passageway.

Survival to track by scent: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Moving along with Connor and Riley, Felix continues to smell the air, trying to keep track of the kobold's scent and being alert to new ones.
GM Ariarh
As you pass by the dark tunnel in the west, you catch the scent of one or possibly several kobolds. Their scent is relatively fresh - maybe a day old but the other smells in this part of the chamber (such as the decomposing bodies) make you not entirely certain.
As you move up to Connor and Riley, the smell instantly hits you and you almost gag. The strongest kobold scent is coming from the floor, from the hole in the floor. You are certain that living kobolds have moved readily through this space in the past day or two and in a larger number.
Felix Bramblethorn
Felix relays his scent info to the rest of the group.

Anila moves into normal formation and follows along with the group.

"The strongest kobold scent is coming from the floor, from the hole in the floor. I am certain that living kobolds have moved readily through this space in the past day or two and in a larger number."
Connor peers in the dark tunnel below him as he listens to Felix's information. Then he looks to the others and stands up.
"Let us examine the other passage fully before we descend into this foul rat hole and deal with whatever fortune the gods have prepared for us," he says to the others.
Connor plans to explore the entire floor (if possible) before descending to the lower levels to deal with the kobolds.
Then he moves back down to the western fork and peers around the corner there...

The narrow tunnel Connor spotted from above is only four feet wide, so designed for small creatures. A big and burly viking would find it near impossible to squeeze through a 4 ft wide, 4 ft high (you don't know the ceiling height yet but I'm giving it to you) tunnel. ;)
Just as Connor peers around the corner to look into the western tunnel, an arrow flies through the air in his direction.

Hmm... Sounds like difficult terrain; but not impossible - either way, I'll tackle that in a bit...
Just as Connor peers around the corner to look into the western tunnel, an arrow flies through the air in his direction.

Connor feels the arrow strike him, but instead of enraging him, it merely seems to excite his sense and he rushes forward.
The two kobolds in front have spears in their hands.
Realizing that the enemy is likely to have his spear braced and that he is likely stepping into an opportune attack doesn't seem to faze his attack in the slightest.
He swings his axe; clearly trusting the ranged abilities of his friends behind him.

Connor, I will need you to roll a miss chance (20%) as Felix has yet to move the lights down that western tunnel. Thanks, kindly.
With no light in the part of tunnel where the kobolds are, you cannot see in the dark/very dim light currently to make out the race of said last creature. Sorry.

"Let us examine the other passage fully before we descend into this foul rat hole and deal with whatever fortune the gods have prepared for us," he says to the others.
Riley nods and continues to follow Connor. He keeps his senses keen.
After the arrow slams into him, Connor rushes to attack, he realizes that - although he had said he wished to advance, and although he had moved forward with Riley by his side - that for some reason no light had been provided.

Stunned that the corridor is dark, he feels his muscles stiffen at that.
Perhaps they wish for me to go make sure that foul hole is guarded properly... After all, Felix was clear that the smell of kobolds was far stronger in the hole then here...
In which case, it seems that I must return to the hole as soon as I am able...
Felix Bramblethorn
Felix moves around the corner as well, hearing the sounds of battle.
Uttering a quick vocalization like he is clearing his throat, the floor underneath the two remaining kobolds becomes slick with grease.

Botting Rhia this round.
The mage armour spell placed on Rhia has worn off (as its duration is only 1 hour).
The oracle moves up so she can be closer to help with healing but without her magical armour and with the tight tunnel and enemy bowman, she simply remains in a defensive stance away from the direct opening of the western fork.
Total Defense as a standard action. +4 dodge bonus to Rhia's AC for 1 round.

The arrow just misses the female, landing at her feet.
The kobold with the bow is now out of the range of the dancing lights - she's in dim light.

EDIT: I think that will have missed, but we'll see...
GM: As per Riley's request I moved him up behind Felix.
GM Ariarh
Even though the tunnel is not overly wide, Anila moves slowly past and back 15 feet, just outside the fork, giving the others better access inside the small corridor.
It will be considered difficult terrain if you try to move past an ally in an occupied square inside this mostly small (5 ft wide) corridor. The exception to the rule: if someone succeeds on a tumble check to move past them.
Connor, I was waiting on hearing from Riley again before moving his token, but thanks. I have corrected the token's placement as you had him between squares. ;)
Connor strikes at the kobold with the spear before him but his axe does not find its mark and he misses.
Riley, Felix and Rhia are up!
Rhialtyra Sunaki
Rhialtyra took a single moment to look mournfully in the direction they had come before continuing on with her companions. They had chosen to go forward and while she did not want to disappoint Delfi, it was better for everyone's safety, she thought, if she stayed.
--
The tussle had been a surprise - she'd not expected Connor to attack into the dark, but considering an arrow had come whizzing through, she felt it was a fair reaction to have.
It did not seem that anyone had sustained too much damage, but she was no expert in adventuring. All she knew was that a spear-wielding kobold stood at the fore with some archer behind him. She thought to forbid it to attack, that Connor would take no further injury, but realized it would be very difficult for her to edge past the others to get within range.
She thought about the healing power she had remaining and considered her options. She knew not how much further down they would go or what else they might encounter. Would it be better to hold her healing for greater dangers? Or was it better to heal them now, expending the magic, but running the risk of wanting it later?
"Do you require healing?" she finally chose to call out, leaving the choice in the others' hands. A channel, she thought would at least heal both Connor and Riley, but relying on her spells meant that she'd not be able to forbid attacks or call upon sanctuary later.

Rhialtyra took a single moment to look mournfully in the direction they had come before continuing on with her companions.
Do you require healing?"
Connor spares her a brief glance, the blood still oozing from the arrow wound in his shoulder.
"Nay! Not yet - wait for it..." he responds, gambling that while healing may be helpful, it may be even more useful after the two kobolds have a chance to attack.
Felix Bramblethorn
Felix decides upon a similar spell and steps up before greasing the bow that the archer is using.
Grease on the bow. DC 14 reflex save each round or drop the bow.
GM Ariarh
The oracle offered healing but none took up the offer at the present time. Instead she concentrated on considering the kobolds - what their strengths and weaknesses could be, especially their weaknesses.
From your readings of kobolds (from one of the tomes your father used to sell in his shop), you remember that kobolds have a particular sensitivity to bright light. They are cowards and schemers and never fight fair if they don't have to - preferring to ambush.
GM Ariarh
Grease on the bow. DC 14 reflex save each round or drop the bow.
Reflex (DC 14): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 So for the remainder of this round she has the bow in hand.
Even as the magic spell goes off and grease covers the kobold's bow, she manages to hold on this time and not let it drop to the ground.

Riley, you're up! :) Then it's the bad guys.
Connor son of Ceorl
She manages to hold on this time...
Connor's eyes widen for a moment, then narrow coldly.
She?
Interesting...
Rhialtyra Sunaki
She held off, as Connor bid, and thought on what she could do instead. Rhialtyra thought back to where she'd heard of them before... and remembered - she'd read about them in her father's books!
Kobolds were weak to light, especially the light of day! "Daylight!" she muttered, scanning the ground for a rock. Upon finding one that she liked, she took a few steps forward to better position herself for her next actions.
GM Ariarh
Okay, so Rhia has stated her intentions in the next round in case she isn't around to post. I will need someone to offer to bot her if that is the case? Thanks, kindly. :)

Connor notes Riley's aid and nods at the man.
"Well done," he says, and grins widely, the blood still oozing from the wound in his shoulder and splattered across his face as his eyes are lit with the excitement that is born only of blood lust.
Then he turns to the kobold and readies himself for the creature's counter attack...

This is what I have read:
If an opponent casts grease on an item, and the wielder succeeds at the initial save, what happens?
The spell description says "an object wielded or employed by a creature requires its bearer to make a Reflex saving throw to avoid the effect," so succeeding the save means the wielder avoids the effect—in other words, the spell is negated and there is no grease on the item.
@Felix: The female kobold made her initial save, so no grease on bow.
-----------------------------------------------
Angered by the cat-man's attempt to attack her bow magically, the female kobold sets her sights on the him. Taking a 5 ft step back (deeper in the shadows), she nocks an arrow and shoots.
Ranged Attack on Felix: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
