Zoren Valkith |
I feel you need to gain control of this blade my friend. What happens when another picks it up? or it bonds with a new master. Besides, I've heard these type of blades can speak with their wielder. Have you spoken with it before? [/ooc]
"No, it simply refuses to speak with me. Odd I know considering we are supposed to have a symbiotic relationship. It does respond to my commands when I am conscious though".
Sho yowr plan ish tah shtay in thish plashe ethernally for the bwade'sh shinsh? Ad what if thish bwade shimpleh takesh anover ash thrawl? What pwofhit, then, doesh yowr shervithude acconpwish?
(So your plan is to stay in this place eternally for the blade's sins? And what if this blade simply takes another as thrall? What profit, then, does your servitude accomplish?)
"No, the sins are my own as Valen has pointed out the failure to control it is mine. Here it will be unlikely to find another wielder and if it should I am absolved of further sin as its deeds would be tied to that wielder".
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
I'm cool with RPing it out.
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
"Choose your rock, Valen, and then I shall choose mine."
Kor cracks his knuckles and his two pairs of smaller arms mirror the gesture, the tiny clicks are almost in unison.
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
"Good choice,"Kor grins, his monstrous mouth attempting to mimic a humanoid smile,"I'll go with something... smaller."
The barbarian hefts a large rock about three times the size of Valen's head.
"First to shatter. On your mark."
Sorry for the delay. Had to dress down to head home from work.
Alexander Valen |
well then, Go!
Valen promptly proceeds to circle the boulder for several seconds, running his hand across the surface studying it intently muttering under his breath all the while. He traces his finger across its surface until he seems to find a certain spot. He gives a nod of his head and thumps that spot, and several other seemingly random locations in the span of a few seconds. He takes a step back as the boulder crumbles into a pile of rocks. He then looks over to see how his jail mate is fairing...
I was going to have it be a draw, so feel free.
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
Kor grabs the rock by both sides and pushes inwards, veins popping out of the skin on his forehead and arms.
"RAHHH!"rumbles Kor as he smashes the rock against his head with a loud crack.
Frenzy activated by taking damage: +2 Str, +2 Con, and -2 AC for up to 1min. DM, this damage is however much you deem reasonable. I was thinking like 1d4?
Damage from headbutting a rock: 1d4 ⇒ 2
The impact is accompanied by a guttural growl as Kor's eyes widen and his arms seem to almost bulge to bursting, the veins straining against the flesh.
At first the large rock holds against the pressure until a sharp crack can be heard and suddenly the stone is crushed between the enraged trox's hands, chunks of the granite falling to the ground.
A trickle of blood dribbles down Kor's face from his small head wound and a bizarrely long gray-purple tongue zips out and licks the blood lazily.
"Delicious."
Izura Selenesh |
Seeing the blood trickling from the wound on Kor's head, Izura reaches out, chanting in a strange, guttural language. Golonac, tekel'd glaaki.
She reaches out her hand toward Kor as he licks the dribble of blood from his face.
And now the cliffhanger - can Izura cast cure light wounds in Prison 14? If her magic works, and if it's 1d4 damage, he'll be healed back up.
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
Kor grabs Izura by the wrists and smiles. His grip is surprisingly gentle but firm.
"My pain is fleeting, milady,"Kor strains visibly to contains his unleashed fury,"save your healing arts for another time. Your intentions are appreciated. Do it if you must."
Kor releases her hands and paces for a very long minute. Twitching is visible all over his body and he mutters constantly in short snippets. Each phrase seems to be from a different language and the chittering from before intersperses the mumbling.
He's a psycho wrapped in good intentions :D
Alexander Valen |
Well that was certainly effective, I feel it lacks a subtlety and grace but, it certainly has its own charms. And remind never to let me get in your way, I'd rather not feel that headbutt of yours...
William Dienow |
William has been sitting quietly, listening to the others go on, and watching what they do. Observing the groups dynamic. Well I guess this is the best I am going to have to work with. They may not be the best and brightest but they are what I have.
I believe getting that blade back should be top priority Zoren. Getting all of our things back should be. If we are to have a prison break, we are going to need a plan. First off, we do not know where we are exactly. Secondly, How to we escape with that pit below? Perhaps we must over power the guards?
Izura Selenesh |
Prizhon breag? Yuh...yuh zhing id cad be dod? Coud be id - zhesh wawsh howd do tewwow fow be. Izura responds with an almost manic look in her eyes. I wiw be fwee, do wowship by gwowioush bastersh onsh mowe.
(Prison break? You...you think it can be done? Count me in - these walls hold no terror for me...I will be free, to worship my glorious masters once more.)
Zoren Valkith |

Zoren laughs, "It would appear that you have not heard a word I said human, why would I want something back I came here to get rid of? Certainly if I could escape without the Blade leaving it behind I would be interested in this prison break of yours".
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
Kor shakes off the last of the effects of the bloodrush and lets loose a laugh of shorts, clicking sounds staggered beneath it.
"Well, if Zoren doesn't want his sword, I'll gladly take my hammer and crack a few heads to escape this wretched place."
The trox barbarian stretches and nods to William,"Lady Izura wants out like we all do."
Back to typing on my phone now.
DMTFY |
After about 2 weeks in this hellish prison, a demon contingent comes to your longhouse just as you are finishing your meal of gruel.
You 5 come with us
You are taken toward the west end of the plateau where in front of you is a 4' wide x 8' high shimmering curtain, upon passing through you find yourselves in a very well appointed mansion. You are taken to a study where you come face to face with the warden.
William Dienow |
I knew there were Illusion effects going on here.
William looks at the warden and says
Let me guess we have been selected for some extra hard labor? Am I right? Something where we probably won't survive long? What is it? Digging rocks in an old pit or something?
DMTFY |
The man sitting behind a very ornate wooden desk is an abomination of humanity. Even his appearance is no longer human. While his form and figure are relatively normal, he has been scarred in several ways. Now diminutive fiends ride upon his knuckles, dancing as mock digits and sit in his empty eye sockets, whispering descriptions of all that lies before him.
He is well dressed and speaks with a southern drawl.
Ah have noticed, that you five seem to get along quat well, tell me how would you feel about a chance at freedom and redemption at the last word he looks pointedly at Zoran
Izura Selenesh |
Fweedob? I...ob coursh...bud whad'sh the cash? Why wowd you wet ush go avtaw sho widwe tibe? Udwesh you adbid we wew wongwy taged id da firsht pwashe. She shoots the warden a manic grin.
(Freedom? I...of course...but what's the catch? Why would you let us go after so little time? Unless you admit we were wrongly taken in the first place.)
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
Kor nods and spits on the floor.
"I agree, this seems too good to be true."
The smaller plates on Kor's back begin to vibrate creating a sound that is eerily similar to a cicada albeit a very large one.
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
Creepy warden for sure, DM. I like where you're going with your descriptions :)
Zoren Valkith |
"Redemption? Yes, that would be something..."
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
Any chance a knowledge check of some kind would help?
Alexander Valen |
Valen paces up to the mans desk and peers down at the tiny dancing demons.
trapped yourself you say? I suppose you lost a bet or something and were forced to guard over this prison then? Or, perhaps you sold your soul away and now wish for it back?

DMTFY |
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
Kor nods as he peruses the dusty tomes.
"A lich's book? The lich's book?! You must know we face almost certain death, cursed one. This is madness..."
Kor closes the book he's reading and nods to the warden.
"I'm in."
Alexander Valen |
Well then.. Things just got interesting indeed. You can count me in. It should be metric tons of fun. But, could I PLEASE have my hat back now?
He places both his hands on the front of the desk as he speaks.
So I was right... hehe, follow the clues and facts, and the future is an easy prediction. The amount of knowledge there could be exponential. And I have some strong buffers here.

Ok that is everything

Why yes Zoren, by doing this you will have done the world a great service. I'd say that balances your acct

All I can say is not only be careful what you wish for, but especially with whom is granting the wish
Kor, Breaker of Chains |
"Enough with the maxims from the cursed and damned,"veins are popping out of Kor's necks as he speaks, his eyes narrowed in distrust,"Freedom at any cost, friends."
Zoren Valkith |
Zoren complies though he is wary of this deal.
