Skaar |
Two of those will miss because of the shield of faith/haste. Skaar's AC is 21 right now.
AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Skaar grunts in surprise as he's bludgeoned but continues his rampage.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Going for T9. Stepping over after he drops.
GM Henry Fortuna |
Oh, right. Things are getting hectic. Mind putting your modified AC in your status bar, please?
Skaar whacks the approaching thug, while taking out another. The two carrying Corda disappear into the large shack. Two of the thugs run off after them. The remaining Skulls continue to fight the orc.
T2: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19; miss
T8: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18; miss
T13: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21; Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
T15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17; miss
Round 7: Skaar, Thugs, Corda
Skaar |
Sure thing.
Skaar's thundering heart sinks when he loses sight of Corda. Spinning on the wounded thug, the big Orc swats him before continuing his attack on the others.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Targeting the wounded guy first. Stepping to the left afterward.
7/10 haste.
GM Henry Fortuna |
Skaar gives the wounded thug a parting shot before moving forward. He fails to connect with his second strike. The thugs seem unfazed by the drop in their numbers. One rushes at the orc while the others swing their clubs again.
T3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15; miss
T8: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18; miss
T13: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20; miss
None manage to hit the furious orc.
Round 8: Skaar, Thugs, Corda
Skaar |
With another bellowing roar, Skaar turns his rage on the thug foolish enough to look him in the eyes.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
T8.
GM Henry Fortuna |
With another thug defeated, the remaining Skulls still fight, but it seems to be out of fear for their lives more than the confidence they exhibited earlier.
T3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12; miss
T13: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10; miss
T15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16; miss
"What in the nine hells are you?!" one of the thugs exclaims.
Round 9: Skaar, Thugs, Corda
Skaar |
"RRAAAGGGEEE!"
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
T15. Last round of shield of faith. 9/10 on haste.
Skaar |
Skaar spins out a mouthful of blood and slams into one of the survivors.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Last round of haste.
Skaar |
Skaar lunges for the last thug.
Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
"I'm gunna do a lot worse than eat your babies..."
Skaar |
Skaar lunges again.
"If he touches her, he's gunna wish he'd been born a woman", Skaar growls with deadly intent.
Grapple: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Skaar |
"Yer lucky I'm in a hurry", Skaar growls as he lifts the thug like a sack of grain and slams him onto the unyielding ground with crushing force.
Grapple for damage: 1d20 + 11 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 5 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Skaar |
Skaar slams into the last thug with a crashing headbutt.
AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Skaar |
His fury and worry over Corda keeping the worst of his fatigue and pain at bay, the big Orc moves over to the Father's body pulling a potion along the way.
If he's very obviously dead, Skaar will just drink it himself.
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 6) + 3 = 14
Skaar |
Seeing the state of the fallen priest makes Skaar's heart sink. Just a moment ago he had been alive. He'd believed in Skaar and he'd died for that belief.
Everything you touch turns to ash...
Skaar growled in defiance of his doubts.
"No, your death will matter", the big Orc mutters as he chugs the potion. "Ya didn't die for nuthin'"
What kind of weapon did he have? Anything of use visible on him.
GM Henry Fortuna |
Skaar can hear the thugs' taunts coming from the big shack. "Are ya all done, greenskin? We've got enough energy to give your woman a good ol' f@&$ing! Think she'll like five dicks?"
He's got a masterwork heavy mace which is better than the club. But that's it. I'm surprised they didn't censor 'dicks'.
Skaar |
Heh. Dick has legitimate uses.
Skaar drops the battered club and picks up Hanely's mace.
"Alright whelps. It's your turn."
Drawing another potion and move southwest.
Skaar |
I didn't expect to get that far that fast. I assume there was an interim turn of movement. During that time Skaar was going to down his potion of enlarge.
Skaar |
Sounds good.
With footsteps like a giant, Skaar steps around to flank one guard raising Hanely's mace high overhead.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 6) + 7 = 14
Coming from the south at an angle so the other guard has to provoke to get in.
GM Henry Fortuna |
The thug takes a hard blow from the enlarged orc, but they both move up to attack.
AoO on T12.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13; miss
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23; Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20; Critical Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9
The critical hit only counts if you don't smash him into itty-bitty thug bits.
Round 17: Skaar, Thugs, Corda
Skaar |
AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 3) + 7 = 11
Winded by a solid blow to his ribs, mega-Skaar winds up for another crushing blow.
Vs wounded guy: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 2) + 7 = 12
Skaar |
Skaar whips his mace overhead.
"Who's f%%%ed now?"
Smash: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 1) + 7 = 12
Skaar |
Assuming nothing immediately attacks Skaar or otherwise happens:
Skaar draws two more vials. He quickly downs their contents, feeling his bruises and injured ribs mend before pushing the door open.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CMW: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 6) + 3 = 16
"Where's the girl!" he roars.
GM Henry Fortuna |
"In my bedroom, of course," a corpulent man says, seated on a makeshift throne. He looks to the two guards emerging from the back room.
"Well, he's beaten thirteen of you, what's two more?"
"But...but..." a thug stammers.
"Thirteen of you f@%$ing morons can beat down a b#+@% and an old man, but you can't do s!#* against an orc?! Prove me f+~%ing wrong or I'll kill you myself."
The thugs take up their clubs and approach Skaar hesitantly.
Skaar |
"Get lost", Skaar rumbles. "Or you're gunna get it as bad as this piece of s#*~ is."
Intimidate (with size bonus!): 1d20 + 9 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 9 + 4 = 25
Skaar |
"I'm not lookin' to work for Horace - I'm gunna kill him - but first I'm gunna deal with you", Skaar says as he grips his weapon tightly. "Hand over the girl, now, and I might let you walk outta here in one piece."
GM Henry Fortuna |
"Sorry, you feel that way," the fat man replies. He stands from his seat, you can see skulls tattooed all over his torso. The man reaches besides the throne, picks up two very large gauntlets and slips them on.
"Let's dance, m+#%**@~%$~*."
Initiative:
Skaar: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Fat Man: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
The fat man drinks a potion from his belt and waits for Skaar to close the gap.
Round 1: Fat Man, Skaar
Skaar |
Any visible effect from the potion?
With a roar that shakes the walls of the flimsy shack, Skaar charges the fat brawler with one tree-trunk thick arm extended.
Clothesline: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 3) + 10 = 18
DC 16 fort save or prone.
GM Henry Fortuna |
A shimmer of force around him.
Skaar rushes at the fat man, but the man grabs the orc's arm with one hand and stops him in his tracks. He then proceeds to hit the orc repeatedly.
Flurry of Blows: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23; Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
And Again: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15; miss
And Again: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19; Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
"There's a reason I'm in charge!"
Round 2: Fat Man, Skaar
Skaar |
Did the attack miss him or did he do something else to interrupt it?
Skaar |
That's problematic. And he's not wearing armor of any kind?
Skaar |
Definitely problematic. Time for some strategery!
Skaar grunts in surprise as the fat man proves incredibly strong.
Considering his options, the big Orc takes a step back before reaching out to hook his opponent's tiny legs with his mace.
Trip: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Skaar |
He couldn't have gotten an AoO because Skaar stepped back outside his reach.
Skaar has to take advantage of his reach. The super-thug will destroy him in a toe-to-toe full attack battle.
AoO: 1d20 + 8 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 4 = 25
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 1) + 7 = 10
GM Henry Fortuna |
Ah, didn't catch the step back and he can't grab your leg then. Then, we'll call it his standing up as a move action the reason for the AoO.
The orc hammers his rising opponent with a resounding blow, who assumes a defensive stance.
Going into total defense
You still get your turn.
Skaar |
No problem. What did he do on his turn besides stand up?
