I disagree, all it requires is race and caster lv.
Caster LevelA spell's power often depends on its caster level, which for most spellcasting characters is equal to her class level in the class she's using to cast the spell.
You can cast a spell at a lower caster level than normal, but the caster level you choose must be high enough for you to cast the spell in question, and all level-dependent features must be based on the same caster level.
In the event that a class feature or other special ability provides an adjustment to your caster level, that adjustment applies not only to effects based on caster level (such as range, duration, and damage dealt), but also to your caster level check to overcome your target's spell resistance and to the caster level used in dispel checks (both the dispel check and the DC of the check).
Spell-Like Abilities (Su): Drow can cast dancing lights, darkness, and faerie fire, once each per day, using their total character level as caster level.

Unfortunately, being able to cast spells "using their total character level as caster level" does not actually give the character a caster level.
With that said, I will be making a decision shortly (definitely by today) and will post the results here as soon as I've decided.

Alright. To all of you who have applied and stuck through, I wish you the best of luck.

Hey, isn't it traditional to wait to start smoking until after you find out what happens?

Faster than expected!
I will be accepting the following pair of characters:
Baolus Yeralzery
Rona'Nathaniel Gassan
I know that our fighter at least is making some mechanical adjustments to account for the Skald, but we've got a discussion thread up so once the accepted people (and our reserved slots) have their alias good to goo, please check in over there.
Thank you to everyone who applied and I do appreciate the interest. If any spots open up down the road I will open a new recruitment thread and hopefully people will consider re-applying.
Thanks again!

Have fun all!
Idk how he puts them together, but Sir Longears always has the coolest character sheets
LOL! Thanks! I'm a little perfectionist with useless things. I started building these sheets after playing some pregens and seeing how easy it was... all the info is right there!

Hey, Leid's player here. I think I could potentially DM something of interest in the vein of this. I'm thinking a adapted Curse of the Crimson Throne would do wonders and fit in quite well. The actual recruitment thread will probably go up in a few days, and all of you are more than welcome to apply.
