Gregor's mace crunches into the shoulder of his opponent. The man flinches in pain, dropping his bow. He draws a gleaming short sword from his hip and sneers at the inquisitor only to be joined by his surviving companion. The pair quickly flank Gregor and bring their blades to bear.

Moving with arcane alacrity, Butyl reaches the armory in seconds. The doors are closed tight and when he reaches for the handle he finds that they will not open. The woman's screams can be heard clearly from this distance.

Two of Markavious's acidic rays miss their mark, deeply scoring the balcony's carpets. One connects eliciting a scream of pain from the already wounded archer.

The party's already hasted so you can save the expeditious retreat. Butyl can get to the door with a single move action. I'm assuming you use your second action to try opening the doors. After your spell Mark can get most of the way up the hallway.

With a single word of power, Zarzuket whisks himself and two of his companions through space, past the intervening doors, into the armory.

A tall elf with long white hair wearing a fashionable powder blue silk shirt stands at the center of the lodge’s Armory. He wears a rapier at his side and holds the Pale Maiden in his left hand, his wide smile creasing his handsome face from ear to ear. Four human men dressed in red leather armor menace three dead or dying servants of the Woodsedge Lodge, who cluster near the doors where the party arrived. Two similarly garbed gnomes cavort atop the long tables near the center of the room, cackling as their hands overflow with plundered knick-nacks from among the room’s many magical items. One of these twisted creatures holds a candy-striped rod in your direction, while the other rears back with two tiny black beads in his hand.

“How dare you outsiders stand in the way of the People getting revenge against these enemies of the Revolution?” the elf sneers. As he moves his form blurs and a flames shimmer off of him.

I totally forgot you were invisible. In that case the first blast wasn't centered on you so there's no save vs resilient sphere. I edited the post.

There's no save for half on the force damage. The save is just to avoid being trapped in the resilient sphere.

Yes...I have uber movement. Still a bit rusty; haven't played Gregor in over a year. I also just realized I posted my move in the Discussion thread. Sorry about that.

Gregor pulls on the door, then pushes against them because he didn't see a sign telling him which way they opened. "Don't want to look like a bleeding idiot now, do I?" He first attempts to see if the doors are sealed magically and, if so, attempts to dispel the magic.

Detect Magic, then Dispel if appropriate. 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31


Whatever magics were being used to seal the door shut quickly give way to the power of Gregor's faith.

With a double move and bunch of squeezing past enemies Mary can get to blue-shirt guy.

"We are the will of the Revolution!" the gnome cackles as it sifts through Mark's thoughts. "We are justice! We are Galt's future!"

Moving like a bullet, Mary charges into the room and past the assembled attackers to confront the elf in charge. Mark's invisible wall of force springs up a moment later, nearly splitting the room in half. It's the purple dotted line.

Butyl teleports out of the sphere trapping him (to X2), then conjures a blast of light to blind his foes, and steps to meet the gnome. 5-foot step to Y3. I do threaten.

All three manage to shield their eyes in time to avoid being blinded by Butyl's bright spell. Other than a moment of blurry vision, the burst of light looks to have had no effect on the robbers. They're not evil.

"Delay these interlopers as long as you can. They cannot be allowed to interfere with the Revolution!" he says with less bravado than last time.

With a *POP* the elf and his silk shirt vanish from sight.

Spellcraft 20:
Teleport

Sharing their leader's level of conviction, the human thugs ignore their orders and try to flee from the hole in the western wall. The two on the east side painfully blunder into the wall of force first before they make it outside. The gnomes don't even try to flee. They cackle one last time before putting their hands in the air. "We surrender!"

The encounter is over. You can run down the fleeing thugs without much difficulty. The stone golem will eventually surface once his pit has run its course but Mary can solo it easily enough and it needs 20s to hit her.

"Is everyone okay?" a ragged Eliza shouts as she stumbles in from the Great Room. "Gods above, the last thing I expected was an attack by the Red Raven." Seeing her servants injured and dying she crouches by some of them to provide comfort.

Osprey appears a moment later and touches the venture captain with a healing spell. "I doubt any of us expected something like that."

"Of course not...why would a society that collects the most powerful artifacts in the world; sometimes acquiring them by questionable means, ever expect to be attacked by power hungry outsiders?" Gregor shakes his head and wishes he didn't always speak what he thinks. "Looks like we've got some wounded to see to..."

I was just trying to represent Zarzuket cashing in prestige for a raise. She can get you whatever diamond dust you need but it'll have to come out of your chronicles as gold or prestige.

What's everyone otherwise doing in the immediate future and the near future?
