Tsk tsk Ford. Stealing outside the borders of the town where I have no jurisdiction! Just curious, are you one of the "It belongs in a museum!"types?

Male Human Sorcerer (Eldritch Scrapper)/1

And while Zova is infiltrating their ranks and inner sanctums, I can provide the distraction by restoring this forge to working order and giving the Hollow another resource! Yeah, it only occurred to me that if I can get this place restored, we could have a solid forge going on... and it would be a shame if some of the consortium's axes suddenly started going missing...

So no, Zova, you aren't thinking too far ahead. Ford's doing similar. :P He had only planned to arrive and study the ruins, but he's starting to see that he might be needed more than he realized.

If the lumber lords are just as smarmy as their overseers (like the one we met earlier), Ford will be happy to see them taken down. He does NOT fancy himself a leader type at all, much less any sort of business man (he'd rather do the work himself, because what you produce is your baby, and pride at a job well done is good). At the same time, someone's got to stand up and do hard work.

Ford might storm the lumber lord compounds if pushed to extremes, but if he can avoid violence, he'd prefer. He's more of a scholar/thinker/craftsman than a warrior. I know from a player standpoint he will try to reason with the kobolds found around here (spoilers, if the follow-up module didn't give it away, Falcon's Hollow has kobolds around). He's never understood why dwarves and kobolds didn't get along better - both seem to breed excellent craftsmen, so it seems logical that they'd work well together, at the least.

...to a degree. Ford's got an eye for gemstones, since he sees great crafting potential in them. The statuettes are more for his personal research (he's like if Dr. Jones was an ACTUAL archeologist). It's how he learned his Runeforging ability - delving through books. Anything that he can preserve, he'd like to try.

Plus, Ulizima's obviously not around anymore... and if that Irrisen woman if looking for her, she's probably done the smart thing and gone into hiding. And if she left them behind, she must not have needed them. If she seemed like she might be coming back, Ford would've likely left them alone. (Heck, if he could've, he might have come back to retrieve that cauldron and restored it.)

Personally as a lawful type, I would probably be prone to leaking information to the eagle knights, as that would be under their jurisdiction. In the meanwhile, I wonder if the sheriff would allow me to actually go undercover. If I prove myself resourceful, I might be able to play the part of the corrupt guard, and gain information that way. Pretend to start siding with them so that we could leak it to the eagle knigts bit by bit until they finally have enough to bring the entire organization down.

Meanwhile, I really like your plan Ford. get things up and runnimg with the forge so that the local economy could survive without the Consortium. As Abadar IS the god of trade and mercantilism along with laws, I could uh... certainly help whip things into shape once my operation is complete. I could imagine having an ACTUAL election and puttimg someone levelheaded in charge; the Sheriff seems like a good choice, or hey, even Alleran or Hound (the crippled people in town would probably sympathize with his Curse, after all, since it is physical in nature, they could relate)

I wouldn't even mind putting in some of my (personal) resources to fix up the town. Hell, with the average amount of gold an adventurer makes in their life, we could probably start up our own Lumber Company. :3

As I wrote my last ingame post, the thought struck me how much that glove is like a shield. I have a buckler that I purchased in character creation. Would it be okay to describe the falconer's glove as something a little heavier/armoured and use it as the buckler? It would only be for fluff and mechanically no different for AC/ASP/ACP purposes. The only thing I would view different about it is that I feel it would be necessary to remove it to effectively use my bow.

I'm just going to leave this here... I think even though I'm not a Paladin, this really ought to be my code of conduct:

Code for Paladins of Abadar:

Of all the neutral gods, only Abadar supports and promotes a holy order of paladins. As the god of civilization and order, Abadar recognizes the value of holy warriors in advancing society’s aims. His paladins follow the standard paladin code of protecting the innocent, acting with honor and honesty, and respecting lawful authority. In addition, an Abadaran paladin upholds the following creed.

I am a protector of the roadways and keep travelers from harm. No matter their destinations or goals, if they are peaceable and legitimate travelers who harm no others on the road, I will ensure that they pass safely.

Bandits are a plague. Under my will they come to justice. If they will not come willingly before the law, where they can protest for justice in the courts, they will come under the power of my sword.

Corruption in the courts is the greatest corruption of civilization. Without confidence in justice, citizens cannot believe in their countries, and civilization begins to disappear. I will root out corruption wherever I find it, and if a system is fundamentally flawed, I will work to aid citizens by reforming or replacing it.

I am an aid to the markets. I ensure equitable trade between merchants and citizens. Theft and deceit on either side are intolerable.

I make opportunities, and teach others to recognize them. When I aid others, I open the way for them, but will not carry them—they must take responsibility.

EDIT: Changed my avatar to that of an ACTUAL Hellknight.

Alleran: Fine with me.

I meant to post this before combat but forgot to push the "submit post" button a few hours ago.
At this point the party is at level 2. Don't gain HP or spells till you rest, but gain all the rest (BAB, skills, class abilities,..).

Male Human Sorcerer (Eldritch Scrapper)/1

Oh cool! That means I've got an extra rune to play with (probably Glowglyph, but still!) Also, now my runes last twice as long. Woo!

Darn it! XD To longer I go without retraining, the more expensive it becomes!

I may be the only person in the world sad about a level up.

EDIT: On the bright side, I do have my awesome level 2 abilities...

EDIT 2: I know we shouldn't add it yet, but do we roll for HP or use the 1/2 HD+1 method?

Sorry I'm taking so long, got home from out of town work and had to work on moving. Gonna catch up and have a post up soon.

Male Human Sorcerer (Eldritch Scrapper)/1

I forgot to mention, I will actually be out for much of today and the weekend. I should be back on by Sunday evening, but until then, feel free to bot me.

Just assume I take point and attack anything I can with my morningstar in both hands. If possible, I'd save my Lead Blades spell and use my Potion of CLW to restore health, but if dire straights arise, I'll gladly give up the spell to help someone or myself to their feet.

As i haven't read alot of adventures outside of outside of APs I wouldn't haven known that. So are you saying we have multiple option for adventure here?

Plus not saying its a bad thing but I find it that we gained a level pretty fast, am i wrong?

It depends on what the GM wants to do. As for the level thing, yeah, I thought that was pretty quick myself.

We might have gotten more XP than normal, since we faced more challenges than I recall for this module. One thing I do recall is in the original (I think), you only face 1 of the wyrms. We defeated 2 (barely, but it counts!) We also had more foes to challenge at the river, and I KNOW that winter witch wasn't in the original, so we might have overcome more difficulties than normal.

Also, yes, Carnival of Tears takes place in the Hollow, and... that module. Seriously, everything about that book is terrifying. Though, if I recall right, it involves snow creatures wreaking havoc on the town... and we DID meet a powerful Irrisen caster earlier...

*Starts crying* I never did get to play it, but my GM... he showed me parts of that book that made me curl up into a ball and want to just... just... lets not give spoilers to anyone who doesn't know about it but HAH! I have no idea how that got past development. It seriously is up there with Hook Mountain Massacre if not even worse ... thougb in hindsight it probably was worse than HMM.

Male Human Oracle 2 | HP: 12/17 | AC 16 / T 11 / FF 15 | Fort +2 Ref +1 Will +4 | Spells per Day 1st: 5/5 | Perception +6, Sense Motive +6 | Know (History, Planes) +6 | Diplomacy +7, Intimidate +7

Whats wrong with HMM, haven't played that one... To be honest I;'m seriously lacking in Module play. Though I'm starting to get involved with society.

Well, you know those cute chibi goblins that paizo fans love? Well lets just say that eating someone's face in front of their kids is not exactly child friendly. And trolls? Well lets just say they are worthy of their chaotic evil alignment... I'm nit going to go further than that...

As for Alleran, does anyone else feel he is the only sane person in the group? XD We have Judge Dredd meets an undercover cop, an altruistic version of Indiana Jones, a battle fiend... and the person trying to talk sense into everyone.

Male Human Sorcerer (Eldritch Scrapper)/1

I probably should've asked yesterday, but it only just dawned on me that I may be metagaming slightly with my explanation of Droskar. Is it okay that Ford knows so much about him? I know there isn't much to know, I just grabbed a quick file on Golarion gods, found him and paraphrased most of it, but I likely should have asked before info dumping like that.

Short version is basically "Evil cursed student of Torag", but still.

Female Human Inquisitor 2 | HP: 18 / 18 | Perception +7, Sense Motive +8 | Diplomacy +7, Intimidate +8, Bluff +7 | Heal +7 | Stealth +7 | Survival +6 (+1 to track) | Know (Arc/Dun/Nat/Rel) +3 (+3 to identify monsters) | Fort/Refl/Will : +5/+4/+6 | Init +7

I was about to dump info on Abadar, and that's solely because he is my god. I've gotten into a bad habit in PFS of just dumping information about my god whenever I play a Cleric/Inquisitor/Paladin, even though my Pally has no ranks in religion... because it is my freaking god. XD I don't thank a Paladin of Saranrae needs a religion check to recognize her symbol, especially when she is WEARING said symbol right on her armor.

I feel the same, I'm not in that same boat when it comes to religion in this game since I'm an Oracle. But a divine player should know the basics + of their diety

Male Human Sorcerer (Eldritch Scrapper)/1

ICly, yeah, Ford thinks the altar would make a good spot. It should be easy to defend in case of unforeseen danger coming to gobble them up, and make a good base of operations to orient things from.

I actually don't think it will have any effect seeing as it is a darkness spell... on the other hand we can cover the rocks that were dropped on the ground... I would, but I don't have have spellcraft trained but you DID notice this happening.

Yea. the Light spell is to low level to counter Darkness, but if you can cover the stones with darkness on them, a light spell would work again.

Oh... well, that's embarassing... and anti-climatic. Ah, it's cool. I'm gonna dismiss it in a flash anyways. Also, I clearly mis-read it since it shines like a torch, not under the light spell (not that it makes a difference).

SO, I'm just standing in darkness, yelling like a nimrod about the forge.

Don't feel bad. Alleran keeps missing tracks and is also unable to identify most things. The only consolation thus far is that as the least divine character in the group he managed to identify the altar as Torag when the priest of Torag missed it on a DC 10.

So, what is the formula for total HP as we level up? I ask because this CLW spell overshot the original 10 HP that I had at first level. Should we roll or take the 1/2 HD + 1 method?

1/2 HD + 1.
