Galdor watched the dwarf charge ahead. No planning, no discussion. Dumb dwarf. I suppose we should stay with him. He must have sort sort of useful skill. I hope. Easily catching up to the dwarf, Galdor, stays at the front of the party until they reach the ruins on their map.

Soris had been standing around for a while then when Boomer went off on a charge he moved with the others. Their longer legs made it easy to catch him. At the priest question he gives him a look.
"I am a tattooist. That means I make tattoo's. As I said before I am not good in a fight. I am a passable thrower, so I will keep to the back."

Isaac merely grunts at Soris, clearly expecting a better answer sooner or later.

"Well if you see a campfire then there has to be people. Maybe we can ask for directions, but you know I would not count on them being friendly. This is a contest, if we are not careful they could try to get us out of the running if you know what I mean. Anyone sneaky enough to scout them?"

Soris looks over the people with him. Nope not a shifty one around when you need them.
"You know if we lack a scout then we will just have to walk right up to them."
He touches his chin a bit, thinking. Looking down he speaks his mind.
"Two groups, one made up of muscle and armor. Those will figure out if we have friend or foe to deal with. The other group will stay clear and hidden, if things turn sour then they serve as back up and support. Best not to show our full hand from the start and be careful."
He looks back up at the others to see how they reacted to his plan.
"Just my suggestion."

That is not the direction that my focus lies in, but I do have a little skill in stealth. I suggest that I approach, the rest of group can follow a split into the two bands, and come in in a pincer. Musle and armor from the right, others from the left. If there is a problem, I will yell. Does anyone have a problem with that?

We're jus' gonna git slowed down. Dammit.
"We ain't even at the competition site yet an' ye want t' stop at th' first fire an' ask how folks are doin'? This ain't difficult. We follow th' treeline 'till it breaks wide an' then cut north. But fine, ye want t' check th' fire, we'll check th' damn fire."
Not bothering with even a pretense at stealth, the dwarf stomps toward the light drawing a strange horn with a crossbow trigger at the back, keeping pace a bit to the side and a bit behind the elf who had elected to go first.

Felisin notices the Dwarf draw a strange weapon, I thought we were just going to talk. She sighs as she takes the longbow from her back and attempts to sneak forward keeping a small distance from the Dwarf and moving in from the side as Soris suggested.

Darius and Galdor are able to use the cover of the high grass to get closer to the camp. They see eight kobolds, one of which is banging on a drum, another is tending the campfire, two are setting up what appears to be a spit, and two are guarding the tied up bodies of three adventurers. The rest dance around the fire, using the banging of the drum to keep their rythme. One of the adventurers stirs and one of the kobolds guarding them hisses.
Suddenly the Kobolds snap to attention as they notice the stomping of the loud dwarf. They all utter a loud combined hiss, grab their spears and charge.

Galdor eyes the charge calmly and draws his Katana. He allows a tiny fraction of his power to permeate the blade of his weaponArcane Strike Deciding that this should not be a difficult challenge and Isaac's charge already threatening to block his spells, Galdor also charges, bringing his katana down in a two handed slice. Isaac answers the charge of the kobolds with his own charge. He swings his morningstar wide, the kobold doging to the side. But before the kobold can answer the attack with one of his own, he is sliced from neck to navel by Galdor's vicious double handed strike.
A second kobold charges the pair, intent to skewer one of them on his spear. A arrow whizes by, from Felisin's bow, and embeddes itself into the neck of the kobold, its charge continuing into the dirt, face down.
Boomer catches three kobolds in the loud blast of his blunderbuss, but the kobolds continue their charge. Whirling needles flash by and catch one of the three, halting it in mid air. The two remaining kobolds move to strike Boomer with their spears moving in from both sides

Boomer side steps both attacks with relative ease.
Darius attack misses as the Kobold ducks at the last second. The kobold brings his spear up, trying to pin the fighter in the chest with his spear.

Darius steps back slightly as the kobolds stabs upward, avoiding the blow that would have impaled him.
The three remaining Kobolds stay back, intent to take down the largest and closest targets they can see. The grab their slings and let lose their stones at the large charging cleric and his cloest friend, they hiss loudly as they attack.

A rock from one of the slings smashes into Isaacs side, the wound is nothing serious, but will certainly cause a bruise.

Felisin feels slightly sick at the sight of blood spurting from the Kobolds but seeing one through a pebble at Isaac, her resolve is renewed. She swiftly draws an arrow pulling back on the bow. Praetor guide my strike.

Boomer stepped back and snapped open the strange horn-crossbow sending wisps of smoke and paper into the air and plugging something that looked like a cigar into it. Closing it, he didn't really bother aiming. He just pulled the trigger from the hip and thunder rang out again.

Soris spits his acid spit upon one of the Kobold's attacking Boomer. The kobold screams loudly and clutches at its face, and then passes out from the pain.
Galdor moves to swipe at the second kobold attacking Boomer, but misses wide. The kobold hisses at him in defiance, but ends quickly as Isaac caves in its skull. Isaac pulls lose his morningstar and is met with a loud wet sucking sound and pieces of bone and grey matter upon his weapon.
Darius downs his kobold in a single strike, gutting it right through. The kobold makes a strangled sound at Darius as it slides of his blade. An arrow from Felisin's bow whistles by, but misses one of the Kobold's with the slings. The kobold hisses loudly and answers back her attack with an attack of his own.
Kobold #4 attacks Felisin with sling 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Sling damage to Felisin 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
The rock from the kobold's sling smashes Felisin on her cheek. It smarts quite a bit, and blood begins to drip from the cut.
The remaining two Kobold's drop their slings, pick up their spears and throw them at the melee attacks, trying to keep them at bay.
Kobold #5 attacks Isaac with thrown spear 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Two spears thunk into the ground next to Isaac and Galdor. The kobolds hoot and hiss in disappointment.

No AoO's, your teammates killed the kobolds around you. So your shot will hit the remaining ones at range.
Soris spits out his acid on one of the remaining kobolds, but the kobold backs off, seeing his friend die to the same attack. Galdor charges the same kobold and his two handed slice cleaves the lizard's head clean off, a small spurt of blood gushes from the neck socket and the body falls forward into the dirt.
Darius, enraged by seeing Felisin take a blow, charges her attacker, but his rage causes him to swing wide, and completly miss the kobold. Isaac, similarly enraged, swings wide of the same kobold.
Felisin, distracted from her previous wound, completly misses her target with her arrow. Boomer takes aim with his blunderbuss and fires at the group of remaining Kobold. He catches one with his scattershot in the gullet. It grasps at its stomach, confused at the blood before falling down in the dirt dead.
The last remaining Kobold, looks around to see that his companions are all dead.

The kobold hisses out, as loud as it can, and grabs up its spear and tries to impale Darius upon it.
