Lief lines up the… priestess? but cannot connect. Kaylayne protects the front line and prepares to stop the caster who does indeed try to cast a spell.

Can you explain, briefly, where your arrow damage comes from? I see a +3+4 on your first shot, and +3+1 on the subsequent shot. Feels weird to me as they should be the same bonus on damage, right?

Lief bobs around the dancer, hoping to get in a shot, edge-wise. "Yes, I know you mean well, Dimitrio. Don't worry about keeping me from them, like a fox from the hens. I'm happy to wear them down at a distance." Lief studies Green again, hoping to injure the little one, making way for bigger attacks to target bigger foes.

Allarnon connects with green, though he seems to manage the mauling OK. Ederin connects with his first pair of arrows and attracts the priestesses attention. Dimitrio doesn’t manage to connect to red. Lief squeaks in a hit on the priestess, but she refuses to fall. Kaylayne continues to struggle, though she should be somewhat pleased the scroll did not go off…

Ederin is frozen even as his hand reaches for more arrows. He can see the world moving around him but none of his limbs obey his command. Realizing he's under some spell he slows his breathing and lets his mind relax, letting himself fall into a meditative state even as the battle rages around him. It takes time but he finds the break in the armor he needs and he pushes through releasing himself from the drows hold.

He breathes a sigh of relief and calls out to the rest of his companions.

"Someone kill that b%#**!"

The acrobatics is interesting. If you try to get past all three, you easily fail (-2 per additional person is too much to overcome), but if you squeeze you get past green and purple (fewer negatives), but not red (which is OK because you're not going 'through' him, just past him).

So I think, if I've got this right, I get an AoO from red (as you go by) with a reduced AC due to squeezing (-4AC), but you get through just fine. Might be that you don't even get an AoO from red because you're not going through his space, but I'm giving him one anyway 'cause it makes sense to me.

"This is my emergency quiver, guess I shoulda packed more but I don't remember the drow bein' so hard to hit." He shrugs as he removes a healing wand from his pack and tends to his wounds and then Tarkir's, he pats the sleeping bear on the back when he's done.

Kaylayne breathes out as the drow falls, taking the moment to charge up 6 more stones for her to toss around never hitting anything.

When that is done, Kaylayne walks among the dead and dying, looking for what these drow were doing in the room. Also Detect Magic and seeing if the drow have any good magic.

The chamber you were fighting the priestess in was once used for displaying expertly crafted tapestries and paintings but over the years these have fallen into ruin, with only a few scraps of ancient fabric hanging on the walls. Thick spiderwebs cover much of the area, but the only spiders to be found are of ordinary size. The doors on the far side of the room are open. The next chamber is unlit.

As for loot, on the priestess you find a wand of magic missiles (CL 3, 10 charges), two scrolls of cure moderate wounds, and her flail was +1. The soldiers had 8 +1 bolts, 3 cure moderate wounds potions, 4 fire bolts, and 2 poison bolts. They also have a variety of miscellaneous gear, but I‘m assuming you’re leaving that for the army to deal with when they arrive.

Lief walks to the next door, which is already open as described. His light shines a peek into the next room...

The center of this vast oval chamber is dominated by a number of tall stone bookcases coated in dust and cobwebs. Some of these shelves lean ominously to one side, their age clearly showing. Scattered about the floor of the chamber are thousands of crumbling tomes and bits of scroll, most holding little more than scraps and dust, their knowledge forever lost.

"I'm not sure they destroyed it or time did. The elves have left this place for too long. I don't know why this place is one of conflict. The drow could easily come up anyplace they wish," Kaylayne ponders aloud. "Did they choose to arrive here to attack the elves or because there is a passage to the UnderWorlds here? Why here?"

Kaylayne stops to gather the scrolls, Reading Magic, then stuffing them into her 'sack.

She has already prepped stones and awaits for the next doors to be opened.

This circular chamber has a crumbling staircase on the opposite wall, leading up to a balcony that rims the room ten feet above the floor. Arranged around the balcony are a number of short pillars, several of which support a faintly glowing crystal globe. Also on the balcony are a half dozen Dretches, playing with the globes.

Lief cracks the door open and Allarnons nose crinkles. "More demons....you can smell their noxious fumes."

"Tarkir. Up the stairs on the west." Allarnon roars as he nudges the smaller bear forward.

Ederin connects, even with his feeble shots, though only once. Kaylayne immediately connects with blue, though he does not drop. Allarnon climbs onto the ledge while Tarkir takes a bite out of blue. Dimitrio moves into position and inspires confidence. Lief hastens the party.

The dretches do as you’d expect, they throw the globes, howl, and gibber, and of course create a stinking cloud, all for their entertainment and fun.

Allarnon's thick skin absorbs each of the Demon's blows as Tarkir all of a sudden begins to hack and cough.

Spinning around Allarnon tries to get the demons off of his companion until he has time to recover. His eyes and red striped fur begin to glow faintly once again as he flies into a small rage. Allarnon's muscles tense up as he swings his claws at the yellow and light purple demon.
