Dungeon Master S
While the party looks about, they find weal in every corner of this nest!
Between the bric-a-brac on the carved shelf sit numerous stone tablets, each chiseled with archaic Giant runes. They appear to be the collected thoughts of someone named Jogrothir various events that took place during his life. Of particular note is one section that describes in great detail how Jogrothir first lit the fires of Minderhal’s Forge with dragon’s breath. While Jogrothir forced a dragon to breathe upon the forge, he later speculates that if the forge ever went cold, it might be possible rekindle the forge by igniting "fire geodes" with flame from a torch lit by a dragon’s breath, or even using the blood or glands of a fire-breathing dragon.
Dungeon Master S
The party sleeps and rests in comfort. The next day is spent back tracking, and a half a day beyond that. Eventually they return to the lark branching point in the river. There's a wide valley south, or all the way back.... It's midday on the 28th of Calistril.
Vael Oakfist
False Life: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
"South, I say. We'll find them yet."
Dungeon Master S
The party opts South, where the river has run dry, but the ground contains oft use trails for both beast and giant. They finish the day in a wide clearing of scrub, but with enough roll that cover is easy for the night.
From here there are two major branches to choose from. Map updated.
Raen Varkath
Raen is sure to scribe the writings of Jogrothir into her own journal for safekeeping.

The Varisian considers the fork before group. "Left again?" she ventures, uncertain of the geographic merits of their heretofore strategy but willing to be consistent at the very least.

WP takes a moment to collect this thoughts after the battle and slows his breathing a bit with a quick mental exercise. As folks prep the camp. Pig goes to work removing a large tooth; taking his time to get it right, a few scales and a large spike from the spine of the Drake. Pulling out his pack, he inspects his larger trophies. He smiles and ponders to himself,"I wonder if any of the craftsmen back home can use these" He looks at the pick in the horde. "It looks like someone else had the same idea."
He spends the rest of the evening creating a another trophy for his slingstaff. "Who would have thought we would have had to go through all this when we started out?" Pig makes a comment to no one in particular."Each victory has make us stronger."He pauses for a moment and adds,"I wonder if we will be strong enough for the challenges yet to come..."
----
"Yep, left looks good to me."
WP would be interested in the dragonfoe Amulet but simply as a trinket. but the gold will be much better.
Dungeon Master S
The party takes some time to reflect on the events of the past day, A massive and frightening totem warning giants away proved to be an omen as a quartet of marsh giant wights attacked the party. After the harrowing fight, the party pushed on to the enormous tomb of a long dead giant. Within they did battle with a spire drake! The treasure was well worth the fight!
After some back tracking, the party made a quick decision to take a thorough exploration. Ahead is a massive canyon in the way, though a stone bridge across looks solid and plenty large for even Applejack.
