I'm sure Grym gets a retcon to cast Resist Energy on himself before things got started.
The ranger takes a moment to focus and get his spell casting ability ready to cast Resist Energy on himself. His magic ability is a bit rusty and unused. For a long time he didn't even recognize he had any magic ability. For the only spell he ever used was Speak with Animals and he would only use this w/ Bucho (mainly they would just talk and hang out a bit). He thought it was part of his special bond w/ the dog. But recently he had to accept his gift. He was always a little uncomfortable about where it came from. Though he knew he was no cleric he always thought (and hoped) it was his patron goddess Sarunrae who granted or maybe at least helped to grant him his spells. Even at that Grym often felt a little uncomfortable praying to his goddess as inevitably from mind would drift from reverence to his mental picture of her.
It was a painting he only saw one time but it's memory was burned forever in his mind fresh as the day he gazed upon it. There was the Dawnflower, bathed in a bright morning glow. She carried a scimitar wreathed in flames. Her face was beautiful beyond compare but her eyes did hold a hint of her terrible justice that she could dispense with a head lopping slice of her blade. She wore only the flimsiest of robes, her well rounded and shapely legs showing. With her angelic wings fully extended the top of her robe couldn't be up over her shoulders and with the top of her robe resting on her curvy hips; on full display was her overly ample BREASTS OF INFINITE WISDOM...
agghh! the ranger cursed quietly to himself. He continued in the barest of whispers, Please forgive me, I'm not worthy of your omnipotent beauty. But in your infinite grace this poor sinner asks for protection from the firey hounds of hell we are about to do battle with. We have fought so hard to cleanse this place of evil, and we have more evil yet to fight. Please Dawnflower, let us shed a little of your light here...

As the sneaky sneaks made there way forward, Sandor rummaged through Morkelb's "General Use" group pack. Although he has felt the fires heat before, he yoinks a potion of resist fire, drinks it and sets himself ready to receive the large fire breathing dogs.
He then pushes Odric off to the side so he can do his warm up squats farther away. As evidenced by past performances they be filled with flatulence and he doesn't want any extra fuel for the fire to be close.
Turning around he says You all should back up, this line here will be a prime flame flue.
He then waits to attack the first dog that gets close.

posting for Odric
Odric stands just off to the side. He watches Sandor and Grym stand full in the line of attack waiting for the great firey beasts. The Stout has just a tinge of jealousy, feeling he should always be in the front of every assault. Perhaps next time he will ask Grym or Sandor for the fire resistance magic. Yet, he stands ready. He looks for a moment at his battle partner beside him. He almost laughs at loud thinking that they have their own canine in this fight. He likes the big brindle dog, even though sometimes after drinking the dog slops watery drool all over the place, and sometimes he has incredibly bad flatulence. Yet, the Stout has been guilty of both of those on a few occasions so he figures he can't judge. He reaches down and gives the dog a firm slap on the shoulder, then raises the Kegerator for a powerfully violent swing when the first beast sticks his head out...

The party waits for their ambush to spring. This is super complicated, I think I'm doing this correctly.
First, the wounded hound turns the corner and wastes NO time. He rears back and exhales a cone of hellfire! It hits EVERYONE except Bucho.
Fire DMG: 10d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 5, 3, 3, 4, 3, 1, 1) = 33 REF DC 21 for half.
The next hound comes tearing around the corner, and Morkeleb's spell catches two of them! The one in the lead slows down right as Grym and Sandor step up to hit it side by side. Sandor's first swing misses, but the shield slams in. The hound doesn't get knocked back at all though. Grym is right there though to take up the slack. By the time he's done, the hound is cut to ribbons.

Round 2
Current HP 83/120
The exchange between dog and Sandor is ferocious, even the big brindle howeled at the exchange. Sandor's shield and stalwart determination kept him from being flung into the wall as the beasts head thrashed looking for an opening to bite at Sandor's head. The beasts paws swept low which Sandor jumped over. The beast used it as an opening to snap at the dwarfs leg. The beasts jaws caught the leg wrenching it painfully, but the dwarf countered with slamming it on the dogs snout, and the beast let go when the axe magicked by Morkelb would have cleaved the jaw tendons in two. It was when Sandor's greave exited the beasts mouth it was a shade of red, and the dwarf was thankful that the potion he drank allowed his natural skin to avoid the discomfort of the heated greave.
The beast from past history was used to the soft 2 legged creatures to succumb to the pain from the fire of its breath, actually turned towards the larger Odric. He realised his mistake when Sandor attacked with all his might.

Round the Second
Odric's arms were getting a bit tired as he held the Kegerator aloft for the long seconds of the initial clash and exchange of blows. The sheer violence of the crashing and smashing against Sandor's shield startled the man a bit.
I thought you said they were a couple of dogs? Odric muttered to himself while glancing at Gaius in mock irritation. In reality Odric relished the chance to fight these beasts. The sting of battle always stirred something primal in him.
As the hell hound careened around the corner, Odric let the blade fall with a whoosh, followed up by another hacking blow, however the second blow was decidedly less savage than the first.
I think the readied action expired during the first round, right? Either way Odric slashes the stuffing out of this pooch

Round 2 Team Ranger
Seeing the fury in the dwarf's eye at being bitten by the beast, the ranger holds his blades for a moment. For Grym had already the honor of slaying one of the dread hounds.
I'm assuming between Odric and Sandor the red hound is hacked into doggy bites. Excuse this next action if I'm wrong, Grym and Bucho would certainly be attacking the red one.
The mighty Kegerator cuts, the powerful ax and shield blows; Grym is impressed and almost glad to hold his blades to watch such amazing death dealing weaponry in action.
But now that the red hound is surely dead, the ranger sees the black hound trying to escape. Come on Bucho, we must give chase!
With that the ranger and dog parkour over a huge dead hell hound and sprint into the next room.

Sandor's onslaught is vicious by any standards, and fits right at home in this hellish castle. When he is done, only the steaming corpse of the hound remains.
I've moved Odric and Morkeleb in with a double move. The hound by him is dead, and this is the most efficient way to get him back in the fight. There's no AoO because of the corner. There's no line of sight until the very end for Morkeleb.

He always had such interesting smells eminating from his person.
Then a burst of flames pours through the doorway, some even hit the strange spicy/spell component smelling wizard.
The flames dying down seem to be what his master was waiting for, now given the signal, the dog rushes into the next room with his master, jaws snapping looking for canine flesh!
