Sandor Stouthammer
Round 1
know religion: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Seeing the Wizard unleash fire immediately, Sandor knows it's not a living target. Not quite sure of what a mummy is, but he doesn't like the sound of an undead cleric. Sandor follows Bucho and Grym into the room, giving a slight turn of the head to Grym standing there, he reaches out with the flat of his axe giving him a "good game" along the way. Get in the DANSE Grym.
Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 phewww I hope this isn't a per round save
With a mighty swing and a determined focus of his fury.
Dwarven Waraxe +1 PA+Furious Focus: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25

Ferox Kerr
Round 1
Ferox wastes no time sending a volley at the moldy corpse.
Arrow1: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (17) + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 3 = 30
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (5, 1) + 6 = 24
Damage, Manyshot: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (2, 2) + 6 = 20
Arrow Rapid Shot: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 3 = 17
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (5, 3) + 6 = 24
Arrow2: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 3 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 2 - 3 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (6, 1) + 6 = 23
Dungeon Master S
It is not. Once you overcome the aura of despair, you're immune to that creature for 24 hours.
Sandor goes from whim to business in a few steps. His powerful swing connects with metal, and the ring is loud enough to hurt the ears, but not the mummy lord!
Staying outside the room, Ferox lets fly. His first shot lands with a pair of arrows, but the others are diverted harmlessly.
Round 1:
Sandor: Attack
Grym: Fear and teeth
Ferox: Attack
Gaius: Go
Odric: Go
Morkeleb: Scorching Ray
Mummy Lord: TBD
Mumm Lord: 63
Gaius Lirsiiv
SAVE ME CALISTRIA...
Will Save:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
My Lady is fickle. I'll need to spend some more time on my knees.
EDIT: Well, I wanted to throw a spell at him so I'll move into the room and then fail my save. :) Gaius stops dead in his tracks, just as he was winding up to throw some divine power. Then he does his best Scooby Do impression.
Dungeon Master S
Gaius steps into range and the power of the Mummy Lord overwhelms him!
Odric: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 The warrior faces the mummy lord and is not overcome! Someone should bot Odric as he's crushed with work.
Round 1:
Sandor: Attack
Grym: Fear and teeth
Ferox: Attack
Gaius: Paralyzed
Odric: Go
Morkeleb: Scorching Ray
Mummy Lord: TBD
Mumm Lord: 63
Gaius Lirsiiv
Odric bellows, belches and closes with the undead monstrosity! He swings The Kegerator in an overhead chop, attempting to bisect the mummy!
OOOOOOODRIIIIIIIIC CHOP!
Kegerator:1d20 + 19 ⇒ (2) + 19 = 21
Yikes. Is that enough?
EDIT: Undead Bane on The Kegerator brings that to a 23 to hit.
On hit:
2d4 + 11 ⇒ (4, 3) + 11 = 18 Damage plus 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14 Bane Damage.
Dungeon Master S
Even Odric's swing hits nothing but armor. The mummy lord looks to the big man and invokes ancient words of Power and Woe. He maintains contact with Odric's eyes, though the mummy's own have long since dried up in their jars. Concentration: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21, but it loses the spell!
Lucky for Odric, that was a spell of Slay Living!
Grym bcomes unparalyzed at the END of his round, though Bucho gets to go.
Round 2:
Sandor: Go
Bucho: Go
Ferox: Go
Gaius: Paralyzed for 1d4 ⇒ 4 Rounds
Odric: Go
Morkeleb: Scorching Ray
Mummy Lord: TBD
Mumm Lord: 63
Sandor Stouthammer
Round 2 Can't move my pog right now
The statico beat of teeth, axe, blade, and arrow is almost overshadowing the song of this battle. Sandor is almost concerned that all the creature did is stare at his burly Brewer of a friend. Sandor steps to the side hoping to gain some tactical advantage in working with Bucho while Grym isn't able to. He is hoping that the bridle is able to tangle the creatures feet to help it fall down..
Dwarven Waraxe +1 TWF+PA+FF: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (19) + 14 = 33

Dmg: 1d8 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 3 = 8
Dungeon Master S
Sandor's first swing does the job, splitting bone and linen. The shield bash is stopped dead in its tracks, and from there it goes down hill as none of the other attacks can break through the mummy lord's defenses.
Round 2:
Sandor: Hit
Bucho: Go
Ferox: Go
Gaius: Can go in Round 6
Odric: Go
Morkeleb: Scorching Ray
Mummy Lord: TBD
Mumm Lord: 70
Odric the Stout
Round the Second
Oi! What are you lookin' at, ya filthy pile o' privy paper? Odric bellow in his best imitation of his gruff Dwarven companion. The warrior gauges the dull metallic armor showing through the cuts in the mummy's wrappings and thinks he can at least guess where to best hit based on what he sees. He winds up with an eyebrow cocked in concentration, and the tip of his tongue poking out of the corner of his mouth as he unleashes an unreasonably viscous attack!
Power Attack (Furious Focus) Vital Strike with MW Keen Falchion +1: 1d20 + 19 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 19 + 2 + 2 = 40 for 4d4 + 11 + 9 ⇒ (4, 3, 3, 1) + 11 + 9 = 31 and Undead Bane: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 2 = 9 damage.

If that is a crit, that is a total of 78 damage :-)
Morkeleb the Mighty
ROUND 2
note that Scorching Ray was my round 1action please :-)
Morkeleb realizes how close to death Odric just came. He decides to try to prevent the next spell from going off, leveling his staff at the mummy and waiting for The Opportune Moment.
Ready action to disrupt spellcasting with Magic Missile. Since he goes right after me, here is the damage!
Magic Missile!!: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 3, 3) + 5 = 19
Dungeon Master S
Odric's swing is insanely powerful. The mummy drops into a fighting stance after the blow nearly knocks him down. (Confirmed)
Round 2:
Sandor: Hit
Bucho: Go
Ferox: Go
Gaius: Can go in Round 6
Odric: CRIT
Morkeleb: Readied Action
Mummy Lord: TBD
Mumm Lord: 129
Ferox Kerr
Round 2
Ferox releases another volley at the mummy.
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 ⇒ (17) + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 = 30
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (6, 6) + 6 = 26
Damage Manyshot: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (4, 5) + 6 = 28
Arrow Rapidshot: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (3, 2) + 6 = 19
Arrow 2: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 9 + 1 + 1 + 2 - 3 - 2 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 3 + 1 + 2 + (2, 2) + 6 = 23
Dungeon Master S
Ferox's arrows lay the mummy lord low before it could even begin to mount its defense! Nice job. Nearly 200 damage in just over a round and a half...
When the mummy is undone the paralysis wears off, leaving the party none the worse for wear.
XP: 3,200 each
Thorgrym the Tracker
Even as Ferox's arrows strike the big dog tears in the mummy's leg again.
1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 14 + 4 = 38
Finally with a good bite into the desicated "meat" of the mummy the dog thrashes his head back and forth shredding the dry dusty flesh. The undead lord falls obviously dead but Bucho stays at it biting and tearing. Both Odric and Sandor try to calm the dog with no effect.
Only with the destruction of the evil abomination does Thorgrym feel the icy paralysis break and he is able to move. The ranger rushes forward, too little too late he knows to his own shame. He silently apologizes to SharkSlayer for not letting him be part of the slaying, then sheathes him.
At a word the dog breaks off from savaging the unanimated body. The ranger kneels and gives the dog some loving pets and scratches. Grym praises the beast for fighting on even when his master fell to the creature's evil.
Dungeon Master S
Bucho's bite of vengeance is forceful indeed!
The mummy lord has a beautiful suit of half-plate armor
+2 half-plate armor, cloak of resistance +2, ring of minor fire resistance, brooch of shielding (63 points remaining)
Sandor Stouthammer
Sandor listens to the description of the treasure, he sees Morkelbs eyes dart to him when describing the ring.
Once he completes the descriptions. Friends I know I could resize that armor if anyone wants it. Bucho and I can attest to it's strength. Morkelb as for the ring, I appreciate your thought that I would like it. But alas I want one of you to have it. I have felt and know the pain of fire, I would much rather endure it again than one of you feel it's kiss, or it's full kiss. So lads, Gaius the treasure is for you all to claim, if not sell. Sandor finishes with a grin cutting his eyes to see if Gaius noticed the jib.
Ferox Kerr
Gaius, if you don't have a cloak of resistance, go ahead and take this one.
Ferox Kerr
The whole first floor beneath us is unexplored. Should we check that out first? Maybe that'll provide a way in to that star shaped structure.
Dungeon Master S
Just to recap, you've checked the body, not the room, and there are stairs close by (see map.)
Morkeleb the Mighty
Searching the Mummy room...
Perception, Grym: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 +2 underground, +4 urban
Perception, Bucho: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Add Favored Enemies
Perception, Gaius: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (12) + 18 = 30
AAAANNNNNDD
because I'm at my desktop and can move pogs, Iv'e moved us to the next door to check!
Perception, Grym: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33 +2 underground, +4 urban
Perception, Bucho: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 Add Favored Enemies
Perception, Gaius: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35
Gaius then checks for traps
Perception, Traps: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (13) + 20 = 33
Dungeon Master S
Beyond the mummy lord's corpse, the room appears to be devoid of interest, though it's praeda is impressive nonetheless.
Unfortunately, the next room is a rather mundane closet...
Ferox Kerr
I vote for heading downstairs before exploring the rest of this floor.
Ferox Kerr
And FYI re:door patrol, Ferox has a Perception of +22, if that matters.
Dungeon Master S
Ferox Perception: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (14) + 22 = 36
The party's lucky you posted that...
Before leaving the room with the mummy's corpse, the inquisitor finds a secret door in the back, leading into the star shaped tower...

I bring the rain (of arrows) and I see the unseen! All hail Ferox!
Dungeon Master S
The door is found, but it's locked and it's no ordinary lock... It's going to take a master of picking locks to work it.
Ferox Kerr
Hmmmm... If only we had one of those...
Ferox casts Guidance on Gaius.
Sandor Stouthammer
I will assume that Ferox,, or Morkelb would be able to cast guidance on Sandor also as he takes off his gauntlets and breaks out his masterwork lock pick set to assist Gaius.
Gaius, I may not have as deft of hands as you do, but I understand the mechanism, here's how it works... Sandor says softly to the priestly rogue.
Disable Device+ Guidance: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16
Dungeon Master S
In cases where the skill restricts who can achieve certain results, such as trying to open a lock using Disable Device, you can't aid another to grant a bonus to a task that your character couldn't achieve alone.
Gaius speaks the truth, Sandor can't aid Gaius in this, as the lock is beyond him. Unfortunately, it's also beyond Gaius's skill too. You're so close, are you SURE you didn't miss anything that could help?
Gaius Lirsiiv
All I got is this: If I can quaff this here potion of cat's grace, or have someone cast cat's grace on me. (Didn't we have a wand of that? Mork?)
If we can do that retroactively OR I attempt again and take 20.
Dungeon Master S
I'm going to be THAT GUY on this one. The RP is too good here. Gaius rocked it, and he knows it. The door was guarded by a mummy lord. The lock is too advanced. Feel free to try the earthbreaker or the potion, but here's my offer:
1: nope. By the book. Drink the potion, make the rolls, taking care to note the time requirement for DC 40. Hope you make it.
2. I'll let you Take 20 with the potion, but it must be done with a bad a$$ prose post describing the mood, scene, and action.

The way I read the rules, locks are a full round action regardless of complexity.
20d20 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 15, 17, 5, 20, 3, 18, 8, 3, 19, 17, 14, 16, 5, 14, 6, 1, 13) = 207
Lucky #7
At first, Gaius is cocky. He rolls out his picks and surveys the lock. His face scrunches up and the already pale Half Elf loses his color.
This is... I don't know. I've not seen it's likes before, anywhere. It is as well built as any Dwarven craft I've seen, but it's almost Gnomish in complexity. Some mad wizard from the Halls of Mechanus must have dreamed it. The sheer... Order... In it is abhorrent to me. I don't think I could leave this abomination intact if I wanted to.
Gaius chooses the #7 tension wrench and the... Yes, the long double S-rake pick.
I've never had to use this one, he says, still not taking his eyes off the prize. Gaius kneels, and Ferox's Guidance Spell washes over him. He works... Quickly... And smiles as he hears a quick SKNIT and goes to open the door... Only to find it still locked, despite the best pick he's ever done.
What the...?
Gaius withdraws the long double S-rake pick only to find the end mangled and twisted. Odric titters and takes out his Earthbreaker. He steps forward only to have Gaius turn towards him and sneer venom at him.
NO! I will not. Be. Stopped. By THIS.
Gaius shrugs out of his cloak and takes out the short double S-rake pick. He looks at it with disdain, and gets to work.
Keep The Vault Master's Guidance coming, Master Ferox. Keep them coming.
Sandor starts to speak, but Gaius only interrupts with a, Shhhh.
Somewhere off in the dark, something howls. Bucho wimpers at the unholy sound and Grym goes to tap Gaius on the shoulder, only to see Gaius massaging his codpiece with firm, repetitive strokes.
Um... Gaius... That's not really..., he begins only to be cut off.
Shush, you silly man. I'm... *grunt* ...Working.
Gaius produces a flask from a hidden pocket in his crotch and drinks the liquid. He sighs a heavy ecstasy, and comes down from some peak the likes of which none of you understand. He focuses his gaze on the lock again, inserts the tension wrench and the pick, and starts to work. He clears his throat.
The Book of Joy... Overtures, Verse 1. The First Path requires submission of...
With that, Gaius begins to move through some poetic instructions about the Paths to Calistrian Enlightenment, and soon everyone is far too embarrassed or aroused or both to be frightened by their surroundings. Every so often, Gaius motions to Ferox to renew his orision before reinserting his pick.
An eternity later, Gaius is sweating and panting, saying something about corsets and heaving bosoms before he suddenly stops and exhales. He purrs a little as his head rolls back and his eyes spring open. He stands, relaxed and nearly spent. Turning towards the party, he holds his back to the door and smiles a crooked smile before speaking.
If you REALLY know what you're doing, he says while pushing the door open with his ass, 42 seconds is enough.
Cat's Grace plus MW Picks plus Guidance plus Skill Mod is +20. I open a DC 40 Lock on the 7th Turn. I'm calling that an omen.
Gaius Lirsiiv
Oh and we have 7 potions of cats grace
Sweet. I knew I had at least one from back in March. I *really* thought we had a wand though. Did we sell it?
