Chusynd Karkota

Chusynd, his life link to Jal still intact, gives another to Hamilton. Just then he remembers that he forgot to load his crossbow and shakes his head. He drops it, then pops his wand out of his wrist sheath, moving along behind the slayers.
Standard to life link Hamilton, Free to drop crossbow, Swift to retrieve wand, Move to get behind Jal and Ham.

No kidding. This is pretty non-stop. :D
Jal wastes no time, slipping into the room like a fox in a hen-house. From the safety of the corner—and before the nearest man can react—Jal launches his attack … slashing at the man’s exposed side.
move into the corner, power attack.

Trask moves up, dropping The Executioner, drawing the falchion. He attacks first the red mook, then the bloodthirty woman with the pick.

Gah. A lot has happened during my meeting.
Kyra rushes up to the doorway, laying a hand on Jal’s shoulder and whispering quitely.

Turning to the magistrate, she directs him toward Dioneo. "Magistrate Hustavan, stay with that man; you’ll be further from the fighting, where we can keep you safe."

Haha I can't imagine playing Crowe, it would be so much overkill ^^
| Dungeon Master S |
Woah, jumped by the press at open house at school, all good stuff, but I wasn't expecting it. Posting now, then AFK until the morning.
Chusynd, a flurry of activity sets up his fellow agents. Hamilton meanwhile falls short of a killing blow but gets into position. Kyra grants some divine protection and mundane advice to the magistrate. The magistrate holds his blade awkwardly, clearly scared. Jal strikes with confidence, but his blade bounces off the armor of the warrior. These are more than simple zealots.
The man instantly swings back at Jal: ATK: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 and misses. His partymate takes advnatage of the flank and swings with a pick at Hamilton ATK: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 2 = 22 and connects for DMG: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8.
The woman laughs at the hit, "THIS? This is the best you can offer? I shall make grog from your entrails!!!!" There is now a puddle by the magistrate.
She brings her pick down on Hamilton's head. ATK: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 DMG: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Chusynd: Link, switch, and move.
Hamilton: Oops
Kyra: Buff
Jal: Miss
Baddies: ATK
Dioneo: Go!

Dioneo joins his companions and looks at one of the acolytes Blue and speaks loudly to him.
"You've been fooled! They're agents of Pharasma! Quick, get rid of them!" he says, pointing the other two foes in the small room.

WILL: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20 Dang it! Not going to lie, I was looking forward to failing that save so I could RP the results of one of my favorite spells, and a great fluff command given....
Jal cuts down the warrior before he can bring another swing!
Hamilton, Chusynd, Kyra go!

Snap! Well, better a nat 20 here than on an attack against on of the slayers... Still disappointed.

On my phone so no flourishes, regrettably. Also, Jal gets 5 hp back.
Chusynd spews out a string of gobbledygook that no one understands. He seems quite amused by himself, actually, but the quip is lost on the rest of the party.
He casts bless from the wand, then drops the wand and draws his longspear.
Hamilton Trask

Didn't you, Chusynd, have life link set up for Trask as well? I am assuming the damage transfers, and have updated my hp acccordingly.
Trask ignores the damage he has taken and attacks again... attempting to cleave.

Yep, missed that you'd taken damage. Sorry about that.

It's a pun about zombies and Aroden's alleged death. It's obscure and Kyra doesn't find it particularly funny. Or lucid, even.

The leader takes a step back from the action after the wicked slice and takes out and drinks a potion CSW: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 5, 4) + 5 = 17. With her wounds healed she's ready for more. Jal takes a moment to find an opening against the remaining thug. Then, he spins forward, the ridiculous long tails of his Taldan formal-wear flailing out behind him as he strikes.
"Trask," he grunts, "you better stay on your feet. You look way too heavy to carry out."
Make Red the Studied Target, 5' step forward, then power attack (with Bless).

I moved the bad-guy token up to threaten the team (or does she have reach?). IF she has reach, then I'll need to adjust Jal's actions (and I can move her token back).
Jal pulls his blade free of his most recent victim and turns to regard the heavily-armored woman, looking for weak spots in her defenses. Then he darts forward, looking to hem her in as he lashes out.
"People should know when they're playing a losing hand."
5’ step forward, make her the Studied Target, power attack (including Bless).

Thank you for moving her. I didn't have access at the time I posted.

Not so close, madam, please! We hardly know one another!
Now would be a good time to surrender. I'll give you five seconds.

She not only refuses to surrender, she ignores the rambling words entirely. She also rather easily deflects the attack.
Dioneo to end the round.

I should also mention that she's very close to death, but completely unwilling to surrender. A gentle breeze would finish her.

Kyra gives a sidelong look at Chuy, then translates for the rest of the group. "He told her to surrender – though I doubt she even understood."

Still waiting on Dioneo, and I believe it might be safe to bot him...
Assuming she survives Dioneo's turn, her turn is set, and she'll go down swinging. Turning to Jal with her pick in her hands, she goes for broke and swings her pick, knowing it'll likely be her last.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15. When she fails to connect, her words turn to bleak prayers to her Unholy patron.
Meanwhile the Magistrate decides he's a tactical mastermind and starts shouting orders and tactics. The only time they make any sense whatsoever are when he says them after the action is taken by one of you...

Why don't we just have Dioneo Delay until we see if the fighter-types can finish her off...

Because of the Guidance of the Radiant one, what would have been a near miss turns into a final kiri of Jal's blade. The woman drops to the floor. In a twisted way she joins the rest of the mess she thought of as art.
Out of initiative.

"Glad to see you're still in one piece. When we re-tell this," he winks at the man, "we'll make sure you're the hero."
Then Jal turns and presses his ear to the door that was at his back (the one directly south of him), ready to move towards the backstage area when the group's ready.

Jal Vaduva

Nice choice of words. :)
Jal steps back from the door when Trask steps up, happy to let the man take point. "You and me should compare scars some time over a pint, Trask." He pulls back his kapenia to reveal a particularly nasty scar that mars the skin on the right side of the base of his neck. "Minotaur nearly took my head clean off."
He claps the man on the back, then readies for what awaits them within. "Let's see if we can keep our skins intact this time, eh?" He winks back at Kyra, "Gotta look good for the ladies, am I right?"
Ready to push on. >:D
Hamilton Trask

"My worst scars don't show, and I didn't know it was a competition. Ever had the undead tear your very life essence from you? I have, and it was not pleasant."
'G@%!%%ned heroes. Knew he was one of them. Don't they know that a hero is someone who will die for their cause? I ain't gonna die for no cause. Maybe to protect someone, but never for a freaking cause... or country. Screw that.'

"And Chusynd, really... You are aware that you’ve been speaking nothing but the Celestial tongue, yes?"
Oh, that... Chusynd says. That's just a slight tribulation that Aroden has placed on me as a general test of my faith. Chusynd brightens. On the plus side, it's provided me with the opportunity to learn a great many different tongues. In fact, I have been blessed with Aklo and Abyssal, along with the Celestial language.
Ready to move on. Life links remain on Jal and Trask.

Is Chusy's HP correct in his stat-line? If so, should we heal you up, buddy? I don't like having our healers at half-capacity if we can help it. I have a Potion of CLW that we picked up in this game, if it's helpful.
