Leik is waiting out of sight so he doesn't freak out zombie Lady
Yeah; just Edwin and Rholf are at the gate.
"No, no! I can feel it getting hotter every passing day! We can pay!" Rholf offers, jingling his coin pouch.
Ragnvaldr remains patiently waiting just around the corner, listening for any sign to spring into action. He draws his axe, holding it ready for the right moment...
Edwin blinks once.
"Are you certain? I mean, really REALLY sure? The witch is a mean one. I never heard of her doing a harmless prank. Don't tell us he's going to be alright, and then he wakes up a barbecue in the morning! I mean LOOK at that! It ain't natural!" Edwin says, sliding sideways and pointing at Rholf's hair, sounding slightly hysterical.
She closed the door all the way; can't see within.
"How much money you got then?"
She pulls a test tube full of red powder out of a hip bag.
"I can help you maybe put that fire out."
"Surely this type of transaction shouldn't be handled in the street, Ma'am..." Rholf says, looking dubious...
"Why not? You're the one with your hair on fire."
Alinya puts her fingers in her ears. Better safe than sorry, and chymickuls don't always play nicely with fire.
Larissa looks at the young mage with alarm.

Looking slightly incredulous "I'm also the one unprotected from the rest of the world by a wall and gate who will shortly be digging through his coinage." I'd much prefer that not everyone on the street see the details of our transaction..." Giving a disarming smile, he adds "Please, Ma'am?"

The vial of powder is.....an alchemist's equipment or weapon. Besides that, she's a human woman with a lot of offroad miles on her.

"No problem. Fork your coinage to me. I'll go inside and count it."
"I want to see the color of your money guy."
As the woman recedes inside, Alinya takes her fingers out of her ears. She notices Larissa's concern and says, "That 'dog' is an artificial construct; a flesh golem, if you will. We may have found the place where the Beast was created! Oh, and Rholf's head isn't going to explode. Probably."
Continuing in a musing tone of voice, the wizard continues, "For once, I am not sure HOW successful Rholf and Edwin will be. The lady at the gate seems immune to their charms. Perhaps we should try a more direct route. Leik, you are small. Perhaps Ragnvaldr can hoist you up to the roof?"
The wall's about 20 feet tall; the roof is at least three storys.
"Though it does seem a long way up, I admit."

hmmm, well i was going to suggest fire, but... i guess scaling it is possible. I am not the best climber though. We could give Rholf a tad bit more time.
She didn't really bail yet, but she's fin ta.
Sighing, Rholf opens the pouch, reaches in, and pulls out a handful of gold pieces so the lady can see. He quickly drops them back into the pouch and tying it shut.
Looking back and forth between Alinya and Leik, the Ulfen quickly becomes irritated with their indecision regarding climbing the building. He shoulders his axe and shield, digs his boots in, and starts scaling the wall with a grunt under his breath.
Leik will follow suit, damned if he will let someone else save his egglings while he stands idle
"The joy of new companions," Alinya murmurs to herself in surprise and delight. "Don't forget to open the gate once you are inside." She motions Larissa to step back a few paces, "Just in case the climb proves unexpectedly difficult. I would not like to try and catch the barbarian."
Disregarding Alinya - or not hearing her, Larissa puts her hands together like a stirrup and offers to the dromite. "Here. I can get you started," she whispers.
"Well, CAN you undo this curse?!" Edwin asks the woman, seemingly on the verge of panic, or frustration/breakdown.
He glances to catch Rholf's eyes. He is obviously confused why this woman has not capitulated. It normally takes less time to thoroughly twist someone around his finger. Figuratively speaking.
"Brave heart," Alinya murmurs as Larissa helps Leik climb the wall. "I do hope you don't up wearing him like a hat."
The taller girl snorts in response.
She bails;
neither one of the climbers can get up the wall; it's a d.c. 25.
The bored doggolem trots back around the back of the wagon.
"it would appear that I cannot climb such a tough surface without a near-miracle... or at least tools for climbing, which isn't quiet."
"Perhaps we could find a way in through the sewers?" the prim noblewoman looks like she can't quite believe she just made that suggestion.
"Though really I might just prefer a frontal assault on the gate."
"Yes, frontal assault would be preferable."
Feeling that his usual charms are simply not going to work, Edwin takes another intense, swift look at the woman. He is bound and determined to find SOMEthing that he can use,....
She took off. She's definitely.......not what she appears to be though. She doesn't walk like a woman.
Rholf looks exasperated...
"Come, Leik, we will walk around the structure as much as possible. Just to make sure the ring is directing us within and not to something on the other side."
You do a circle around the building. The ring definitely draws towards the building from all angles.
"They are definitely inside the building. Perhaps we should just crash the gates."
The Ulfen's mouth twists in a snarl of irritation. "Fine."
Moving back around to the front of the building where Rholf and Edwin still stand, Ragnvaldr unshoulders his axe and shield. Glancing to the others, he cracks his neck and nods before approaching the doors.
Right on.....
Call some positions, and it'll be on.
Leik will summon two mind daggers and will overboost them with mental energy before taking his place 10ft or so behind the big Ulfen
Right on.
