Perrik doesn't stop, racing through the trapped cave and sliding over the barrel at the exit to reach the cave where Jeji and Kricker wait. Drahlneep is right behind, barely outracing the pursuing barbaric humans. The injured one a step behind the other who swings at Drahlneep's heels with a long sword. Drahlneep hurtles over the barrel and up to Kricker who waits with his rifle.

The crackling beam from Jeji's pistol dances across one of the savage's arm causing it to spasm as he lifts his blade high to leap forward, but is struck down by the barrage of lasers. The second barbarian falls immediately after with a smoking hole through his face. The brass robots step heavily forward crunching the bones of the fallen humans beneath heavy metal feet. They are backlit from the arcane light of the Technic League boss lingering behind.

Kricker lines up and shoots the nearest robot.

Kricker's shot grazes the metal man, but electricity arcs from where it touches and sparks fly.

I'd say some of y'all are still pretty close to one of the barrels.

Yeah, I was afraid of that, but the dang Kelliid were going to overrun us. Bots are slow enough we should be okay to fall back a move and hopefully draw the League boss in.

Falling back, Jeji draws a grenade and primes it.

"FALL BACK!" she shouts to her kin just before tossing the grenade just short of the oncoming brass robots.

Grenade Toss: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Tossing a sticky bomb (grenade) to entangle for 2d4 rounds, hoping they walk into the area of effect before it goes off. I believe it detonates at the start of my next turn.

Jeji tosses a grenade and moves back with Kricker to where Perrik already waits behind the corner. Despite their weight, the bronze men appear agile enough as they quickly move over the barrel. The second one pauses climbing over the barrel. A weird buzzing voice like shearing metal comes from it. "Caution! Explosives!" it warns.

Jeji's grenade goes off throwing hardening resin everywhere. The material traps the BOTs to the barrel. The human is not seen behind them yet.

Drahlneep likewise pulls back in an attempt to clear the blast zone, drawing one of the Smiler pistols in the process.

Jeji retreated a little further, clearly nervous about just how big the explosion would be when she pushed the button. Well, nervous and eager to find out.

Jeji activated the remote detonator.


The kobolds all take cover around the corner and Jeji sets off the bombs. BA-BA-BA-BOOM! Blinding dust rolls through the mines and rock shakes off the walls and falls from the ceiling.

Perrik slips around the other way, alert for the return of the other attackers.

Drahlneep stops when he sees Jeji's claw raise with the detonator. The concussion and force washes over his back like a welcome friend. His rage keeps his face contorted into a snarl, but inside he smiles thinking of the ingenuity of the kobold people. As the shockwave of dust flows over the scene he turns slowly about, peering into the darkness for signs the League or the TEK golem survived the blast.


The swirling grit chokes and blinds while the explosion continues ringing in the kobolds' heads. Pieces of rock rain down and the band pushes back toward the entrance. The air begins to clear a little in the entrance chamber.

The electric bolt flies wide of the hazy figure of the League leader. The man shouts an arcane phrase and the hazy air suddenly sparkles around the kobolds. All-will save DC 14 or blinded

Despite the whole coughing and half-blinded thing, Perrik manages to avoid being blinded. He snarls out a guttural invocation to his unknown patron, bolstering the party and hampering their enemies. Casting prayer. On completing the spell, he spits out a wad of dust-laden phlegm loosened by his Orcish speech, wipes his eyes, and is back to normal.

Jeji is stricken by the dazzling motes and Kricker retaliates with a more direct approach. The human leader shouts in outrage, as he is blinded in return and then cast a spell and vanishes from sight. The rock dust still settling in the room eddies as the man charges forward nearly hitting Kricker. Human is invisible, but due to the airborne dust, he can still be targeted for attack with a 50% miss chance.
