No evil in the room. Astra feels that Liz is under some magical sleep.

Astra's slap leaves a red mark on Liz's cheek, but doesn't wake the sleeping wizard.

I lost the overview if we rested or not somehow, but i think i should be able to do one more dispel. Thought about that over the holidays and might develop Ibuki in that direction actually.

Ibuki stands close to Liz and begins whispering arcane phrases, tracing complicated patterns in the air with his fingers.

I believe you've checked out this floor. There are two sets of stairs going up, one to the north and one to the south each leading to different parts of the tower.

Syvlara was pleased to see Ibuki's magic restore Liz to normal. Once again, magic managed to save a life. Syvlara never cared for that realm before, but each of her magical allies would demonstrate such power and utility at the snap of their fingers. While Syvlara was focused on the mastery of the bow, still she pondered the unknown depths of magic.

Snapping out of it, Syvlara noticed that it was time to move on. She spotted two different sets of stairs, but did not see any indicators as to where they would lead.

"Hold for just a moment, I'll get us some more information." Syvlara says as she starts creeping slowly up the north stairs, making sure her presence would not alert anything.

Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20


Syvlara:

She sees no other creatures as she climbs up the stairs. You see another set of stairs heading upwards. There are three doors, one to the northeast, and two doors to the south and south west. The layout of this floor seems different and you cannot hear anything from the rooms.

Syvlara will report this to the others, then take a peek at the southern stairs this time.

"The north stairs have three doors, but nothing else. I'll check the south stairs now."

You see several more doors, some are slightly ajar, but you can't hear any noise coming from any of the similar doors. You also find what you believe to be two of the doors that you saw from the other side.

Syvlara disappears again, scouting up the other set of stairs.

"All clear!" Yells Syvlara down the stairs.

Liz will head up with the others.


The party climbs up the southern set of stairs and reaches the next floor of the tower.

You see several doors, some of which are ajar, though no sound comes out of the rooms.

Chakos moves on through the southern door.


Entering the room, Chakos sees a tiny ghost-like creature manipulating the metal gear debris scattered in the room.

The room itself looks like a bedroom, stripped of any fabrics, blankets, clothing and other adornments. There is a bed, table and dresser, but they are empty.

As an aside, while Chakos did identify there was evil in this room, and while we did encounter a ghost here, it is a little known fact of the Pathfinder world that not all ghosts must be evil. They can be any alignment, unlike many other types of undead. Thus, I did not come in swinging when I saw it was a ghost, other than the one that attacked us on our previous foray here.


See the ghost encountered at the end of book 1 or beginning of book 2...don´t know what you did with him.

I'm guessing you mean this encounter. The GM told us it was optional, and it seems we got some warnings to not do it, unless we were prepared to fight a ghost. So we avoided that encounter I believe.

I remember that. Yes we did skip it, since we were dying at the time.


The tiny creature begins to wail echoing and followed by more wailing in the other rooms. Sharp bits of metal rise up from around the ghost fly towards Chakos at alarming speed.

Another tiny ghost moves beside Astra and hurls sharp points of metal at her. The bits of metal fly past and around both Astra and Chakos.

Adjusting Telekinesis to be simpler/different?. Also removed Uriah. You probably don't need him. Or I can leave him there and someone else can control him until you leave the tower.

Hmmm, no, that was this encounter where we were told it was evil, so we killed it. And it was a wraith, not a ghost. Wraiths are evil, ghosts don't have to be.

It is a gearghost. They enjoy making traps-and were the souls of thieves. You can ask one question. They have ghost traits.

Fiery rays pierce the tiny ghost creature, melting metal gears and debris on the ghost. It screams and its moan echoes in the room and hallway.

Blue ghost (19), Red ghost (22).


Two more of the tiny ghosts appear from the cracked open doors to the east. One of them hurls several spiky metal bits from the the ground at Astra.

The red gearghost hurls metal at Astra (provokes opportunity attacks) while the blue gearghost moves back and throws metal at Chakos.
