BACKSTORY
Personal Description:

Born in 1898 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, he is from the first generation of Puerto Ricans growing up under American rule. His father was a doctor, and encouraged Chakos to follow in his footsteps, and to Americanize. As such, Chakos attended Miskatonic University in Arkham, Massachussetts. He followed a fairly standard curriculum at Miskatonic, and during his years as a Graduate Student, he was selected to participate in a University expedition to the Congo Basin in 1925. This expedition ended in unexplained disaster, and changed Chakos' life. He never returned to the University, instead making his way to Algeria and joining the French Foreign Legion where his medical skills were much in demand. During his time in the Legion, he participated in several campaigns in Morocco as a member of the 3rd Foreign Regiment as a medic. After 8 years Chakos has left the Legion and has been recruited by the Caduceus Foundation for his language and medical skills.
