Mira concentrates further on the items... Spellcraft: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10 ...and discovers absolutely nothing.
Lenna Obon
Lenna tries to identify the items.

What about aid another from the three of us excluding Lenna?
Strange Old Lady

You all gather around the blade conferring. Mira casts guidance on everyone. Sunreturn tests the balance carefully in his tough, woody hand. Zoltan pricks his finger on the tip. Observing all of this, Lenna concludes with a shudder that it is a heartripper blade.
Strange Old Lady
Map updated.
You also notice that the north, south, east, and west walls in this chamber are all covered in many, many roughly scratched glyphs. Some seem to be of mountains, others of trees, some of various parts of the kobold, others of eggs or rats. The statue in the center of the room stands much taller than any kobold you've ever seen at 10 feet in height with the stone-carved skulls of humanoids lying at its feet.
What would you like to do?
Sunreturn
K religion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
"Kurtulmak. Kobold god of traps and poisons. Be careful."
Sunreturn peers at the glyphs and scratches, trying to ascertain meaning.
Lenna Obon
"Yeah, that is why I am standing all the way back."
Lenna shuffles back at least 10 ft behind the party.
"Look at how they got the jump on us last time. We should prep. Some of us should at least have one scroll out before we move forward. What I am saying is that I got some scrolls in my trusty pack that I don't mind sharing with you all and let you use them. They make fights a whole easier like the fight before the last one."
We might want to prep instead of going in blind or use spells that reveals us like dancing light. Lenna has some scrolls on hand. Take a look at her sheet and post what scrolls you want. Lenna is not parting with her mirror image scroll though.
Sunreturn
"Good idea, Lenna. I could summon beasts and send them in first to scout. Quick and sharp-eyed ones so less likely to get hurt. Mira should get long arm."
Lenna Obon
Just a heads up her scrolls are arcane/psychic in nature. Sunreturn will need a UMD check for that.
Sunreturn
Sorry, I should have been more clear. With oracle casting, Sunreturn can summon monsters himself.
Lenna Obon
You might want to update your profile. I do not see your 1st level or 2nd level spells known except the ones from the mystery.
Mira Everest
Mira nods in agreement. She speaks softly, but her voice sounds clearly in your ears. Message. "I've got some scrolls as well. And one of you should take this cloak, it will protect against spells and traps and such." She holds out the kobold's cloak to the others. "I like the beasty idea, Sunreturn. I'll be ready when something goes wrong. If! I mean if." She gives the room one last scan for traps or magic. Detect magic. Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Then she stands at the ready. Readying an action to cast long arm at the sight of an enemy.
Sunreturn
Oracles don't have to prepare their spells ahead of time, so for those slots I can choose whichever spells from those levels I require. Though I do need to pick them for paladin. Positive Pulse and Weapons Against Evil seem like normal choices for Sunreturn, given his slow and steady crusade against evil.
"I will wear the cloak then, Mira. And I will try to leap over thos plates."
Sunreturn moves to the furthest east of the room and then runs towards the plates, aiming to leap over them.
Acrobatics, guidance: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6
Strange Old Lady
DC 5 to jump a 5 ft distance so you're fine. Regarding the plates. ;)
A couple of notes: Sunny, an oracle has a very limited number of spells known, just like a sorcerer. So you need to pick those.
A smoky figure appears at the base of the statue as Sunreturn jumps somewhat clumsily over the pressure plates. It is the hazy figure of a kobold. Dread creeps through you. Sunreturn quakes in fear at the apparition (1 round frightened: bummer that you failed the save by 1).
"Kurtulmak has you now!"

The lizards around the statue begin aggregating into roiling masses and moving toward you.
Mira, Sunreturn, and Zoltan GO!!
Baddies next
Then Lenna
This is a poltergeist. Nonmagical weapons will not hurt it and magical damage only does half damage to it but it is damaged by holy water. Look at the spoiler below if you get a 19. If you get a 24, you can google its stats. Your character knows all about poltergeists!
It can fly and throw objects with the power of its mind. It cannot move more than 120 feet from the place it is bound to.
Lenna Obon
I think Sunreturn barely made his save. He forgot to update his will save after he got the cloak of resistance +2, it should be +10 instead of +9.
Zoltan, Wishgranter
Zoltan sees the mass of lizards, and thinks out loud, "That's something you don't see everyday."
Taking an alchemist's fire from his pouch, he drops it onto the most concentrated mass he can find.
Ranged touch: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5 (+50% for swarm?)
Lenna Obon
Now that I think about it. If we are fighting swarms and a ghost, Lenna is screwed. Good thing I had her backed out. Looks like she is relegated to support duty.
Mira Everest, Raptor Form
Shaking off the shivers of dread, Mira sprints straight for the apparition. She transforms as she moves, growing horns just in time to stab at the hazy form. Mira's natural weapons count as magic while raging, thanks to her amulet.
Gore Attack: 1d20 + 17 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 17 - 2 = 22
Gore Damage: 1d8 + 15 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 15 + 4 = 27
Liz, meanwhile, follows the others in hopping the pressure plates along the floor. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 She glares at the smaller lizards swarming around them, giving her most menacing growl. Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 4 = 28
Then she sees the amazing destruction caused by Zoltan's fire, and her eyes light up. She looks up at him hopefully, extending a claw. A compsognathus has claws that can grasp and carry, so she could probably smash some acid or something on them if you want to pass it to her.
Sunreturn
Apologies for the delay. And I'll have to spend some time tomorrow patching up Sunreturn's sheet.
A longspear grows out of seemingly nowhere and then falls into Sunreturn's hands. He advances towards the kobolds.
Wooden weapon (su)
Sunreturn
Sunreturn blinks, moves and casts entangle on the nearest swarm of lizards.
Strange Old Lady
Sunreturn, you need plants in an area to cast entangle. Mythic entangle can function without vegetation. For the sake of pace, we'll say that there are some strange fungal vines and mosses in this specific area that will work. But in general, there's not a lot of vegetation in this dungeon crawl.
Reflexes: 5d20 ⇒ (14, 10, 10, 9, 5) = 48

The swarms move to attack Mira and Sunreturn (2 damage) but both keep their focus on the battle at hand. One swarm is entangled in many minuscule grasping vines. Out of nowhere, a chunk of rubble approximately the size of Lenna hurls upwards into the air at Zoltan but misses him and shatters against the ceiling.
Anyone know whether or not the bites from a swarm allow DR? It makes sense that they would.
All party, GO!
Mira Everest, Raptor Form
Anyone know whether or not the bites from a swarm allow DR? It makes sense that they would.
Yep!
Damage reduction sufficient to reduce a swarm attack's damage to 0, being incorporeal, or other special abilities usually give a creature immunity (or at least resistance) to damage from a swarm.
Another question: does Mira's scent ability work on the invisible creature?
Mira Everest, Raptor Form
Well, then I guess it's the hard way!
Mira lunges in fury after the vanishing form, thrashing and flailing in all directions. Taking a 5-ft. step, then full-attacking with natural weapons and unarmed strikes. She attacks into eight random squares within ten feet of her, obviously focusing on any square where she makes contact.
Attacks: 8d20 ⇒ (14, 10, 5, 9, 14, 6, 11, 2) = 71 with a +9 to +13 bonus
Miss Chance: 8d100 ⇒ (39, 79, 93, 32, 64, 15, 71, 47) = 440 hits on a 51 or above
Lenna Obon
We will need Zoltan for the ghost.
Lenna mutters s spell and disappears. She then moves into the room.
Cast Vanish on herself and move. Btw, what is that big white circle on the map?
Sunreturn
Understood. No entangle without specified vegetation.
Sunreturn attempts to help indirectly.
Bless.
Lenna Obon
Remind me to buy some tree tokens. Problem is they cost 400 gp per piece.
Sunreturn
Couldn't Mira craft wondrous items?
Zoltan, Wishgranter
So there is a ghost we cannot see? I fear I have no way to target it in that case. But if someone can reveal it, I can smack it with disrupt undead and magic missiles. Meanwhile...
Zoltan looks shocked by the sudden attack, but can only split his focus so many ways. He throws his other alchemist's fire at the swarm of lizards.
Ranged tocuh: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14

Sunreturn frowns slowly, then begins walking forward and casting again, waves of positive energy sweeping out from him.
Casts positive pulse
Lenna Obon
She is least effective in this battle. Her weapon is useless vs swarms. Her magic is questionable at best (but if they are mindless, she can try a silent image). Otherwise, we seem to have this under control.
Strange Old Lady
The swarms converge on Sunny and Mira. 4 damage to Sunny, none to Mira thanks to DR as long as she remains in rage.
Dam S: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Dam M: 1d6 ⇒ 2

The entangled swarm bursts free from the many tiny vines grasping it and moves toward the fighters on land. But it seems the ghost organized the creatures somehow. One of the swarms dissolves into aimless lizards who scatter and go their separate ways.
Party up.
