Ghost's voice responds, "Volkov? Is that not the name of the Hunters that Narses has forbade our kind from seeking out?"
I must have missed that part. Sorry. End scene? Definitively didn't mean to go directly against Narses.

Radek motions for his Childe to follow as he floats to the center of the room utilizing his blood magic."I plead not guilty for I have met the exception to the rule for the Embrace. I announce that it was and is my intention to challenge Mistress Fanchon for the seat of Clan Tremere representing the Camarilla".
Fanchon laughs, "A renegade? Who will support you? Even if you were elected none in the Clan shall follow your edicts".
Lord Benne and Vykos step forward, Benne speaks first, "Prince Nares, I shall vouch for the seriousness of this claim".
Vykos spits on the floor, "I have contacts among the Tremere who I could convince to accept the rulings of Radek as a counselor, with diplomatic privileges of course".
Fanchon stares daggers at the two Cainites, "He is to be declared Anathema..."
Radek looks back at Fanchon, "Am I? Are you sure? Have you spoken to my Grandsire? I have and he indicated that he would indeed back my claim..."
Mistress Fanchon explodes in a string of expletives as the Court begins whispering about this surprising turn of events!
And who, I wonder are we to support here? He wonders. Fanchon has clearly lost a social point by responding with crude expletives.

Onfroi says quietly without raising his voice , why is it that I must be the reminder of hospitality and decorum two nights in a row? Is it such a difficult subject to understand that there are better places and ways in which to make your point then perhaps cursing in elysium or rude interjections which all could have easily been avoided. I am not anyone to any of you not enemy nor friend. Your impressions for my vote are not based on any past thing but solely on your actions. Act better to our Prince or I shall endeavor to find every vote to ensure it is not you who finds anything at the table but scraps.

Lord Benne turns to Onfroi, "I am the representative for Clan Cappadocian Fledgling, I do not need your vote nor your validation. Prince Narses seeks to unify the Cainites. Yet it would appear that he seeks to reserve for himself the power to decide whether a Cainite should be deemed guilty for actions based on his presence at a gathering, indeed the inaugural gathering, of the Camarilla.
If Radek has broken the Traditions, so have most of those in attendance here by Siring without the permission of Narses. Yet we are not potentially subject to the Final Death because we are insulated from the Traditions having Embraced under the auspices of the Camarilla.
The rulings of the Camarilla must supersede the rulings of a single Prince no matter his standing within the sect else the sect loses its legitimacy.
Radek's crimes, if any, were committed outside of the boundaries of Venice and therefore not crimes within Venice. Radek's recent Embrace of Michael Santo would be valid, should he seek a seat on the Council we are here to create! If we were to allow Narses to be the sole judge of whether this act should be allowable under Camarilla law then the Council has lost power before it has even been fully formed.
That is why I speak out of turn, indeed, if I do not, then Narses efforts to achieve a body of equals is already lost".

Onfroi hears all he has to say and says the traditions have an order to them Elder, and following or raising up the one to dash down the other seems to me counterproductive at best and opportunistic at worse. To me nothing stands more or higher then the respect of one's domain and one's hospitality. After hundreds of years of life our place and the respect of it maintains a level of peace of mind and soul. I respect you and your words and I would never think to walk into your domain and interrupt you and tell you how it should be. I would I hope approach you in your domain with the dignity you deserve and the respect expected. Onfroi says with a solemn respect to Lord Benne, but even more in a nod to the Prince whose domain this is.

He bows before Prince Narses, "My lord, this would be a fine way to set the precedent, to show you ask nothing of any other Prince of any other city that you are not willing to abide yourself. The attempts of lesser princes to destroy the unity you hope to inspire will ring hollow, and you will have put this sect on a firmer foundation to build upon."
| Michael Santo |
Michael will follow his sire in support yet will remain silent for the political realm has always been beyond his better understanding. However he will enjoy the sense of victory as fanchon's refined vocab is reduced to 4 letter wording. Michael will look around the room and drink in the scene of different clans.

”This is preposterous!” exclaims Lanzo von Saschen ”Have we come here to form this body to give sovereignty to it and thus make our Princes vassals to this organization? An organization making rules and pronouncements from a place removed from the dasy to day realities of what is actually taking place within said Princes Domain? I certainly did not believe so though it appears to be what Lord Benne proposes!”
Vykos speaks, ”Indeed. Clan Tzimisce holds what you westerners refer to as the Second Tradition above all others and would never cede their power to a foreign body”.
Criatas interjects, ”Look to Carthage for the answers. A ruling Council made decisions for the city taking into account both the will of its subjects and its rulers”.
Lady Jadviga practically spits, ”Carthage? Why would I look, or anyone else, to such a place for any answers! My ancestors were forced to burn that folly to the ground to save us all from the mistakes made by that ruling body! No look instead to Rome, after all, is this sect not being named in his honor? The Roman Senate made recommendations but it was the Prince who made decisions and the Empire stood for a thousand years”.
Talisman’s voice rises above the din, ”The Roman vampiric senate was so corrupt that by the end, the Triumverate was forced to leave and form the Dream that was Constantinople. The three Elders ruled that Empire well, given guidance by advisors from many other Clans”.
Helena la Jouste shakes her head, ”I cannot even understand what you are babbling about madman. The Triumverate murdered one of their own. No it is better to follow the lessons provided by the Courts of Love. Each Queen is a sovereign of her own City, they then meet and pass proclamations for the areas in between their Domains”.
Ecaterina the Wise steps forward to the dais and speaks, ”You all seem to be missing the underlying point that Lord Benne has made”. She pauses looking to Fledgling and Elder alike before continuing. ”Prior to this Conclave, rules were agreed upon that would allow those who sought to be a part of this Ruling body could Embrace a Childe to leave here as a representative or to be used as a diplomat to a foreign Court. Narses agreed to this, perhaps with reservations and without significant thought as to how the agreement would be implemented, but he agreed all the same.
The issue at hand is whether Radek is now ex post facto seeking to justify his Embrace of the Fledgling under the guise of seeking a seat on the Council. Therefore, the Camarilla must ascertain whether his petition is legitimate or illegitimate. Once that matter is settled, then Narses can rule upon his fate or he has done nothing wrong and Narses has no say in the matter”.

"Well, where should I begin? I was born a virgin birth in a manger to my father George the Third who was himself blessed by the spirits of the land and air and given to speaking prophesy and writing exquisite poetry. Alas his wicked and cowardly brother turned him out and he died of familiar shame. I myself escaped my uncle's family into the woods where an old crone with a chicken hut set me to live with three wise bears in the hills after I out-witted her when she tried to eat me. The bears (three brothers--Fozzie, Winnie and Yogi, as I recall) mined gold, frankincense and mir in the mountains and would set off each day from their homes singing "High ho" while I and the local woodland creatures touched by the Word of God as well would spend all day cleaning their little cottages (built of hay, sticks, and local limestone respectively). I am sure you know the rest. Fairly humdrum by city standards I would guess. But tell me more of yourselves Sir Moor Who-is-Not and you his fine Lady Who-is-Not." Narses Court - Vitaliano da Riva
Vitaliano let himself be dragged away from the middle of the room, dumbfounded for some time before he seemed to finally snap back to. His concentration lost on what seemed to perplex him and tried to keep with what all was being swarmed about and on.
When his sire spoke to him, he nodded "Yes, if what I have realized is true...it proves to be quite the insight. But about what the rest seem to be stricken upon. Hmm, personally it would not be a terrible idea to have a way to check a Prince's power. But if I were to look at that it would need more then just a few voices rising up otherwise the Prince loses power entirely. Perhaps given the amount of clans, it wouldn't hurt to ask for a overwhelming majority of nine or more clans arguing against the Prince's decision could be used to ask for the leaders to come and have their opinions be weighed in upon." he offered as he thought about the question his sire posed.
He raised a finger, then pressed it to his own lips before taking a moment and speaking again lower though "However, given what I believe I have learned of the Tremere. If you were to wish to see them weakened, siding with this Radek would cause much internal turmoil in the clan. Alliances and the link would grow and fall inside it and of course it would allow for others to get insight and knowledge of their clan. It might even give room for our friend in the Ravnos to gain a foothold again and perhaps someday regrow into a clan proper." he said going silent after perhaps a bit too much talking and leeway taken from his Sire's asking.
