AArg, if Greyfield is correct in his guess about the veil I'm really pissed! I made so many plans on how to escape the cell without any help, and they just go ahead and give us the tools on a silver platter? that's really disappointing.
Feel free to disregard The Veil! I'm all for it.
And forget the popcorn, I'll break out the wine and cheese!
Ok I really need to head home, I made myself hungry, posting continues from me after 12 midnight and will go to 4 AM.
Please continue.
Khara assume you are conscious in the next hour of real time.

(and took a serious beating) for no reason... :-\
Well at least Greyfield enjoyed the show, but yeah I get what you're saying it does seem a little off-putting that for an AP where we were told to expect very little hand-holding the first problem we face we're guided through it by the chick from Mad Men.

I spent the whole week plotting (and took a serious beating) for no reason... :-\
I would not say that at all!
You started to develop each of your characters more fully (which are great by the way) and you and Smoak each got something out of it.
You can still put those plans into action.
Now it will just be a little bit easier to escape.
So TPK outside the cell instead of inside the cell.

We could always not use it. And then when we see her throw it at her feet and claim that we have mad skills. That being said, we have two days until we are sentenced. This has potential to be the shortest campaign I've ever played in if that were the case hahaha
I'm to bed. Have fun you night owls.

All I am going to say here is this,
This is NOT an easy AP. In fact this is quite possibly the easiest part of the AP. But even here, a misstep will kill the party.
Remember your above statement later when it seems like the whole world (literally) is turning against you.
Trust in the AP. Give some trust to the DM please. If I was amazed at the development of this AP and I have been role playing since 1982 that should say something. You are in for a ride.

If I had doubt about my chances of survival, oh boy did they multiply.
Talking about enlightened states of death;

This AP goes to level 20, and you are in the perfect AP to realize Enosh's dream come true, Long before that level.
Are you saying he should "Get lich or die trying?"

Hi all. Its been non-stop. I am making time to try to keep things going. Its 12:48am now and I've skimmed the 171 new posts since the 25th. I've skimmed the Gameplay as well and have an idea of what's going on.
I believe my next action is to manipulate the veil in some way. I try to do that,

Turning in for the night. I'll check replies tomorrow but can't commit to a time. Thursday will be better. On the weekend I should be able to post a couple more times.
Enosh |
171 posts? my. Well, chunks of it are ooc and catfights between the ladies, so it's supposedly not as difficult to catch up as the number of posts suggests... What part of the globe are you currently at?
I won't be here much today either...

I gave a Notch to someone yesterday, was it Enosh?
And how many Notches do I have for Enosh 1 or 2? (I left my notes at home and I am at work)
Please tell me if I have this right
Khara Thrust - Int +3, Perception +4
Smoak - Int +4, Perception +8
Anastasia - Int +1, Perception +5
Greyfield - Int +6, Perception +12 (really? fuuk)
Enosh - Int +1, Perception +0
Sir Cudjet - Int +1, Perception +1
Greyfield |
Yeah, high perception for me.
Wisdom (3)+ Class Skill (3)+ Skill Focus (3)+ Keen Senses (2)+ Rank (1)= 12
Gotta love half elves and free skill focus.

I like casting actors for my NPCs, it helps with the image.
While there is an image of Watch Sergeant Tomas Blackerly
I picture him along the lines of putting the worse bits of Bob Hoskins (click) added to the worse parts of James Gandolfini (click) and then left alone with no one to love.
RIP Bob Hoskins, I enjoyed your work.

Some notes for Greyfield
The career of the arch-devil Moloch has been a tumultuous one rife with dramatic triumphs and deplorable failures. His stubborn determination and his overwhelming dedication to revenge have managed to keep Moloch alive and a continued threat to Creation.
Moloch was originally a powerful Planetar general. Unlike most such beings, who typically are sent into the Lower Planes to battle against fiends, Moloch was instead granted the responsibility of defending and protecting children. The Virtues of Celestia considered this a great reward for a servant of the Heavens who had cast down many Demons and Devils. Moloch, a great warrior, viewed his new station as an insult.
For a time, though, Moloch served in his capacity as the defender of the innocent well, and soon came to be revered almost as a god. Realizing this newfound aspect to his new position, Moloch quickly began to demand tribute for his services, and it was here that his star began to dim. It is unclear what kind of punishment his behavior would have earned him since it was near this time that Eblis and Triel began to challenge the Bastions of Holiness. Recalling his strength and aggressive nature during their time together in the Outer Planes, Triel approached Moloch and bade him to serve as a great general in the war against the Upper Planes. Of course, the coup failed and Moloch, along with Belial, Eblis, Triel, and other notable celestials was cast out during the Great Fall.
Filled with rage, Moloch was all too happy to accept Asmodeus' offer when he arrived in Hell. He joined with Triel as a Duke of Hell. Unfortunately for Moloch, he was neither as crafty as Belial or as intelligent as Triel to become a Lord of the Nine and soon found himself under his former ally's yolk. Moloch became Triel's, now called Baalzebul, enforcer and Grand Viceroy, ensuring his ascendancy to the Lordship of the Seventh Hell. In return for his loyalty, Baalzebul helped Moloch overthrow Lilith, Lord of the Sixth at the time, and placed him as his Grand Duke. Thus, did Baalzebul control two layers of Hell through Moloch. Initially, Moloch was content enough, but soon he wanted to rule on his own. Unfortunately for him, he could not compete with Baalzebul's network of spies and, as a result, Moloch found his hands tied. He took his frustrations out on his cultists, children, and his consort, the former Lord of the Sixth, Lilith.

I've posted on the gameplay thread. I'll be out of pocket for the rest of the day. I'm in Germany so I'm 6 hours again of you all. If you're all posting in the evening it's early morning for me and I'll soon be getting ready for work. I'll only have time to read anything when it's evening for me and then we have the opposite problem.

I remember just receiving one, Khara should have two.
My, his perception. Being oblivious to the living around him doesn't always pay off, it seems.

Just got back from Boston and about to go knock the hell out but I'll toss me guess at this.
He is not here currently however in passing does anyone want to guess Blackerly's Alignment?
Guy seems like a bully, definitely is a fan of inflicting pain, he's pretty sloppy in his work and dollars to donuts he's a pretty big coward I'm going to guess that he's either chaotic evil or chaotic neutral but if he is CN he's so close to evil it makes no difference.
Khara Thrust |
I'd guess that while he's a cruel bully, he only inflicts his perversion on persecuted felons, and it is his lawful nature that drives him to hate outlaws with such malice.
While he's dedicating his life to protect the innocent civilians outside the prison, he is also a bit indifferent to the suffering of the prisoners so I'd say he's neutral. So LN. With low int/wis that makes him overly gruff and superstitious, but LN nevertheless.
But I can make a case for every alignment from LG to CE...
