Physical Description:
Standing six feet tall, yet weighing a mere 124 pounds, the pale and lithe figure of Hieronymus Greyfield is unsettling indeed. Short and cropped jet black hair sits atop his pale face with azure blue eyes, his pointed half-elven ears reaching towards the sky. It seems that every vein is perceptible through his almost bone-white skin, and his frame is a coordinated tangle of corded muscle and sinew in a body that is devoid from any fat (due to his continuous martial training and his extreme lack of diet).

Backstory:
Hieronymus Greyfield was born from a relationship of adultery. His mother, ever disdainful of her husband’s drunken rampages when sales from their livery were low, found solace in the embrace of an elven courtesan. It was from one of these trysts that Hieronymus was the outcome. As soon as he was born, he was sent away to live out his childhood at a ranch for orphans and unwanted children. Because of his elven heritage, he was teased relentlessly. Years went by and the half-elven child became quite timid and demure due to his experiences, and life was quite hollow in that young Hieronymus felt that life was utterly cruel with no sense of direction.

Everything was soon to change, however. During a weeklong ranging event that was meant to teach survival skills, comradery, and other dull nonsense, young master Greyfield and another of the boys, a lad named Bendry who was Hieronymus’ prime tormentor, fell into a sinkhole unawares. It took almost two weeks for Bendry’s body to slowly devour itself. For those two weeks, it was bliss to Hieronymus Greyfield; seeing the cruel and once fat boy grow gaunt and emaciated instilled such a joy that Hieronymus once thought impossible to achieve. After Bendry’s demise, death was soon upon Hieronymus himself, but he was rescued by a search party that had been dispatched upon the boys’ disappearance.

From that moment on, Greyfield had a purpose. He became obsessed with the phenomenon of starvation and weakness, and vowed to perfect himself in an odd way: the extreme chronic sensation of hunger would purge all weakness within himself, and in turn power could be attained that would allow him to feast no longer on the petty material things like meat and mead, but on the essence of life itself. Hieronymus Greyfield became a devout follower of Moloch, archdevil of destruction and war, and he has pledged himself to do everything he can within his mortal shell to serve the Lord of Malebolge. Between times spent on constant training to hone his body into a weapon, Hieronymus occasionally abducts children from the busy streets in order to perform observational research on them during their decline into a death of starvation. It was on one of these forays that Hieronymus Greyfield was apprehended. His neighbors, ever suspicious, alerted the town watch to his suspicious behavior and they knocked down his door. His research subject, a once fat baker’s son, was moments away from his soul being offered to the planes, but the damn watch had to ruin it. It was this act that landed Greyfield a temporary stay at Branderscar Prison; temporary in that his neck awaits the headsman’s axe…
